Robust exponential stability of nonlinear impulsive switched systems with time-varying delays

    Get PDF
This paper deals with a class of uncertain nonlinear impulsive switched systems with time-varying delays. A novel type of piecewise Lyapunov functionals is constructed to derive the exponential stability. This type of functionals can efficiently overcome the impulsive and switching jump of adjacent Lyapunov functionals at impulsive switching times. Based on this, a delay-independent sufficient condition of exponential stability is presented by minimum dwell time. Finally, an illustrative numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the obtained theoretical results

Exponential Stabilization of Impulsive Switched Systems with Time Delays Using Guaranteed Cost Control

This paper investigates the stabilization problem for impulsive switched systems with time delays. First, exponential stability criteria of the delayed impulsive switched systems are established by use of the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method. Based on these results, sufficient conditions for the existence of a guaranteed cost control are also given. Subject to these sufficient conditions, the closed-loop impulsive switched system under the guaranteed cost control law will be exponentially stable with a guaranteed cost value

In particular, an urgent need has arisen to understand the effects of communication processes on system performances. Sampling and protocol are two fundamental aspects of a communication process which have attracted a great deal of research attention. Most research focus has been on the analysis and control of dynamical behaviors under certain sampling procedures and communication protocols. In this paper, we aim to survey some recent advances on the analysis and synthesis issues of NCSs with different sampling procedures (time-and event-driven sampling) and protocols (static and dynamic protocols). First, these sampling procedures and protocols are introduced in detail according to their engineering backgrounds as well as dynamic natures. Then, the developments of the stabilization, control, and filtering problems are systematically reviewed and discussed in great detail. Finally, we conclude the paper by outlining future research challenges for analysis and synthesis problems of NCSs with different communication processes. This work was supported in part by the National Natural Science Foundation of China under Grants 61329301, 61374127, and 61374010, the Royal Society of the UK, and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation of Germany

Stability Results for Switched Linear Systems with Constant Discrete Delays

Some of the stability results are formulated based on Gronwall's lemma for global exponential stability, and they are either dependent on or independent of the delay size but they depend on the switching law through the requirement of a minimum residence time. Another set of results concerned with the weaker property of global asymptotic stability is also obtained as being independent of the switching law, but still either dependent on or independent of the delay size, since they are based on the existence of a common Krasovsky-Lyapunov functional for all the above-mentioned configurations. Extensions to a class of polytopic systems and to a class of regular time-varying systems are also discussed.Ministerio de Educación DPI2006-00714 y GIC07143-IT-269-07 ; Gobierno Vasco SAIOTEK SPED06UN10 y SPE07UN0

New Delay-Range-Dependent Robust Exponential Stability Criteria of Uncertain Impulsive Switched Linear Systems with Mixed Interval Nondifferentiable Time-Varying Delays and Nonlinear Perturbations

    Get PDF
We investigate the problem of robust exponential stability analysis for uncertain impulsive switched linear systems with time-varying delays and nonlinear perturbations. The time delays are continuous functions belonging to the given interval delays, which mean that the lower and upper bounds for the time-varying delays are available, but the delay functions are not necessary to be differentiable. The uncertainties under consideration are nonlinear time-varying parameter uncertainties and norm-bounded uncertainties, respectively. Based on the combination of mixed model transformation, Halanay inequality, utilization of zero equations, decomposition technique of coefficient matrices, and a common Lyapunov functional, new delay-range-dependent robust exponential stability criteria are established for the systems in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). A numerical example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method
