Aeroelastic Testing of ASLV Models for Predicting Transonic Buffet Response : Ground Studies

    Get PDF
A 1:20 Scale Aeroelastic model of ASLV is designed for studying its transonic buffet response. The model simulates full-scale parameters at Mach one condition and is designed for testing in the NAL 1.2m Trisonic Wind Tunnel. This report describes the static and dynamic ground tests conducted on ASLV aeroelastic models to determine the degree of simulation of required characteristics in the model and to evaluate parameters useful in Wind Tunnel test data analysi

    Dualities in persistent (co)homology

We consider sequences of absolute and relative homology and cohomology groups that arise naturally for a filtered cell complex. We establish algebraic relationships between their persistence modules, and show that they contain equivalent information. We explain how one can use the existing algorithm for persistent homology to process any of the four modules, and relate it to a recently introduced persistent cohomology algorithm. We present experimental evidence for the practical efficiency of the latter algorithm.Comment: 16 pages, 3 figures, submitted to the Inverse Problems special issue on Topological Data Analysi

    Canonical stratifications along bisheaves

A theory of bisheaves has been recently introduced to measure the homological stability of fibers of maps to manifolds. A bisheaf over a topological space is a triple consisting of a sheaf, a cosheaf, and compatible maps from the stalks of the sheaf to the stalks of the cosheaf. In this note we describe how, given a bisheaf constructible (i.e., locally constant) with respect to a triangulation of its underlying space, one can explicitly determine the coarsest stratification of that space for which the bisheaf remains constructible.Comment: 10 pages; this is the Final Version which appeared in the Proceedings of the 2018 Abel Symposium on Topological Data Analysi

Unbound states in 12^{12}C populated by γ\gamma-decay of the (Jπ,T)=(2+,1)(J^{\pi},T) = (2^+,1) 16.11 MeV state

The reaction 11B+p^{11}\textrm{B}+p has been used to populate the (Jπ,T)=(2+,1)(J^\pi,T) = (2^+,1) state at an excitation energy of 16.11 MeV in 12^{12}C. γ\gamma-decay to unbound states in 12^{12}C are identified from analysis of the decay of the populated daughter states. Due to a new technique, γ\gamma-decay to the 10.8 MeV 1^- state is observed for the first time, and transitions to the 9.64 MeV (3^-) and 12.71 MeV (1+^+) are confirmed. Unresolved transitions to natural parity strength at 10 MeV and 11.5-13 MeV are also observed. For all transitions partial widths are deducedComment: Corrected small typographical errors and added more details on data analysi
