A Vision of Collaborative Verification-Driven Engineering of Hybrid Systems
Abstract. Hybrid systems with both discrete and continuous dynamics are an important model for real-world physical systems. The key challenge is how to ensure their correct functioning w.r.t. safety requirements. Promising techniques to ensure safety seem to be model-driven engineering to develop hybrid systems in a well-defined and traceable manner, and formal verification to prove their correctness. Their combination forms the vision of verification-driven engineering. Despite the remarkable progress in automating formal verification of hybrid systems, the construction of proofs of complex systems often requires significant human guidance, since hybrid systems verification tools solve undecidable problems. It is thus not uncommon for verification teams to consist of many players with diverse expertise. This paper introduces a verification-driven engineering toolset that extends our previous work on hybrid and arithmetic verification with tools for (i) modeling hybrid systems, (ii) exchanging and comparing models and proofs, and (iii) managing verification tasks. This toolset makes it easier to tackle large-scale verification tasks.
Collaborative Verification-Driven Engineering of Hybrid Systems
Hybrid systems with both discrete and continuous dynamics are an important
model for real-world cyber-physical systems. The key challenge is to ensure
their correct functioning w.r.t. safety requirements. Promising techniques to
ensure safety seem to be model-driven engineering to develop hybrid systems in
a well-defined and traceable manner, and formal verification to prove their
correctness. Their combination forms the vision of verification-driven
engineering. Often, hybrid systems are rather complex in that they require
expertise from many domains (e.g., robotics, control systems, computer science,
software engineering, and mechanical engineering). Moreover, despite the
remarkable progress in automating formal verification of hybrid systems, the
construction of proofs of complex systems often requires nontrivial human
guidance, since hybrid systems verification tools solve undecidable problems.
It is, thus, not uncommon for development and verification teams to consist of
many players with diverse expertise. This paper introduces a
verification-driven engineering toolset that extends our previous work on
hybrid and arithmetic verification with tools for (i) graphical (UML) and
textual modeling of hybrid systems, (ii) exchanging and comparing models and
proofs, and (iii) managing verification tasks. This toolset makes it easier to
tackle large-scale verification tasks
Investigating knowledge management factors affecting Chinese ICT firms performance: An integrated KM framework
This is an Author's Accepted Manuscript of an article published in the Journal of Information Systems Management, 28(1), 19 - 29, 2011, copyright Taylor & Francis, available online at: http://www.tandfonline.com/10.1080/10580530.2011.536107.This article sets out to investigate the critical factors of Knowledge Management (KM) which are considered to have an impact on the performance of Chinese information and communication technology (ICT) firms. This study confirms that the cultural environment of an enterprise is central to its success in the context of China. It shows that a collaborated, trusted, and learning environment within ICT firms will have a positive impact on their KM performance

Integration, management and communication of heterogeneous design resources with WWW technologies
Recently, advanced information technologies have opened new pos-sibilities for collaborative designs. In this paper, a Web-based collaborative de-sign environment is proposed, where heterogeneous design applications can be integrated with a common interface, managed dynamically for publishing and searching, and communicated with each other for integrated multi-objective de-sign. The CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) is employed as an implementation tool to enable integration and communication of design application programs; and the XML (eXtensible Markup Language) is used as a common data descriptive language for data exchange between heterogeneous applications and for resource description and recording. This paper also intro-duces the implementation of the system and the encapsulating issues of existing legacy applications. At last, an example of gear design based on the system is il-lustrated to identify the methods and procedure developed by this research
Initial thoughts on rapid prototyping techniques
This paper sets some context, raises issues, and provides our initial thinking on the characteristics of effective rapid prototyping techniques. After discussing the role rapid prototyping techniques can play in the software lifecycle, the paper looks at possible technical approaches including: heavily parameterized models, reusable software, rapid prototyping languages, prefabrication techniques for system generation, and reconfigurable test harnesses. The paper concludes that a multi-faceted approach to rapid prototyping techniques is needed if we are to address a broad range of applications successfully -- no single technical approach suffices for all potentially desirable applications

Identity Trust Framework for iGaming
The online gambling community, or the iGaming industry in the United States has individual solutions and a mix of classic processes to manage universal customer identity but it lacks a standard identity management framework in which to enroll new iGaming users, monitor those users and ensure secure transactions, which leaves it open to identity theft and financial fraud. The iGaming industry offers online poker, sports betting and casino table games. iGaming providers (provider/providers) include companies such as PartyPoker.com, Pokerstars.com, Bovada.com, BetOnline.com among others. An iGaming player (player/players) is anyone who plays to gamble on games through the Internet. This report focuses on the requirements and specification for an Identity Trust Framework to enhance security and privacy in the United States iGaming industry and players.Informatio
Knowledge Management
The main aim of European Union is "to become the most competitive and dynamic world economy based on knowledge, capable for viable economic growth with better work places and greater social cohesion". Competitive advantage in "new economy" has passed from material and financial assets on (to) non-material and non-financial belongings. The key challenge for 21st century companies is knowledge defining, measuring, advancing, valuing and controlling. Characteristics of economy based on knowledge are: • knowledge is used as input and as output, • in the most developed countries i the world, more than half gross of domestic product is based on knowledge, • high technology Industries nearly have doubled their share in output in last two decades, while services based on knowledge increase faster, too, • in new employing number of " knowledge " workers brings on an overage 80% of new jobs, and • increasing of information and knowledge portions in production technologies, but in products, too.knowledge management

Experimental investigation of an interior search method within a simple framework
A steepest gradient method for solving Linear Programming (LP) problems, followed by a procedure for purifying a non-basic solution to an improved extreme point solution have been embedded within an otherwise simplex based optimiser. The algorithm is designed to be hybrid in nature and exploits many aspects of sparse matrix and revised simplex technology. The interior search step terminates at a boundary point which is usually non-basic. This is then followed by a series of minor pivotal steps which lead to a basic feasible solution with a superior objective function value. It is concluded that the procedures discussed in this paper are likely to have three possible applications, which are
(i) improving a non-basic feasible solution to a superior extreme point solution,
(iii) an improved starting point for the revised simplex method, and
(iii) an efficient implementation of the multiple price strategy of the revised simplex method
Promoting Rhema Tours and Travel's Holyland Tours Using a Marketing Booklet
Rhema Tours and Travel is a travel agency located in Jalan Jemursari 234A that specializes in Christian pilgrimage trips. It offers tours to Israel, Jordan, Egypt, and Europe. There were only a few people who know about Rhema Tours and Travel. This is probably due to ineffective promotional tools. Rhema Tours and Travel had brochures and company profiles to promote their Holy-land tours. However, those promotional tools are not very effective since they did not highlight the uniqueness of Rhema's Holy Land Tours. Therefore, I made a marketing booklet to serve as an effective promotional tool that can promote Rhema's Holy Land tours to customers by highlighting its uniqueness
