Learning through online discussion: a case of triangulation in research
This paper reports on issues in carrying out research into online discussion. The context is a study of a distance learning module within an MBA program. The module required students to tackle problems based on real life scenarios within small online groups. Students were studying part time and shared similar professional backgrounds. The research looked at students' overall evaluation of the module, ways in which group work was conducted, and the contribution of the tutor. The approach taken was an interpretive case study using questionnaire survey, text analysis and interviews. The main findings from the study are reported, but the focus is on the strengths of, and difficulties in, using the research methods. Triangulation of methods provides the researcher with a greater degree of confidence in reporting findings, although subjective interpretation is still needed

EACHING ENGLISH IN ACCELERATED CLASSROOMS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS USING ICT.
The monograph aim proposes a teaching English alternative as a foreign language in
primary-school accelerated learning classrooms using ICT, although it is known, in Colombia
many public and private schools implement the acceleration plan for children who are in a
disaffected age-academic grade due to many adverse circumstances that have prevented them
from developing their learning and educational continuity, so it is sought that these students
can be leveled quickly for integration into the education system.
However, he academic acceleration planhas set aside the English subject, this being
an important subject of paramount that must be included in the academic acceleration plan in
order students can have the necessary basic knowledge about English as a foreign language at
the time of reinvestment to the normal education system according to the Education Ministry.
The pedagogical proposal is based on the use of ICTs for the creation, implementation,
and exposure of English teaching material in a synchronous and asynchronous manner, so
students can devote the necessary time to learn the Englishlanguage from a different place to
the educational institution classrooms, without must be subject to space-time that is often one
of the impediments do not allow the student to access information on an ongoing basis and so
their learning is incomplete
A review of the Development Trend of Personalized learning Technologies and its Applications
Personalized learning tailors material and strategy to student requirements, interests, and goals in e-learning. These developments help educational institutions and other organizations to keep up with the fast pace of information technology, communications, and computing power. Studies show that self-adaptive learning and relevant learning information improve study efficiency. Compared to traditional teaching methods, the practice of online education is well in its infancy. On the other hand, the pedagogy and evaluation of students in online courses have a large gap that has to be filled, necessitating significant improvements in e-learning. We call this approach to education "personalized learning," which is a central focus of today's leading online education platforms. Several studies have been conducted on e-learning and personalized learning, but few investigated the development trend of personalized learning technologies and applications. Therefore this study examines the literature to close the gap and promote the development trend for personalized learning technologies and applications in higher education from 2010 to 2021 by analyzing related journal articles. The pivotal studies used inclusion criteria after a search generated 372 complete research articles and reduced them to 146 publications based on their proposed learning domains and research themes. Through carefully reviewing current trends and successes in numerous aspects of personalized learning, this discussion analyzes prospective future research directions in the field of personalized learning
Researching a Decade of ICT in Post-Secondary Education
This paper reviews published research on information and communication technology (ICT) in post-secondary education since 1998 and identifies the extent to which this research addresses government policy, indicating areas in which further research would be beneficial to meet the challenges contained in government reports. The paper is written to inform government agencies and researchers of the gaps in the research to date. The published papers were wide-ranging, informative and enriching in scope and evidenced the important role of ICT in post-secondary education. The majority of publications were based on empirical inquiry of successful small-scale case studies to guide present and future practice, though less research was evidenced to support other government directives, for example, the role of ICT in cross-institutional collaboration and the role of ICT to support sharing of teaching and resources. There was limited research on theoretical inquiry, providing original perspectives, ideas and ideals to shape future thinking and few cross-sector and inter-institutional studies identifying the role of ICT to improve teaching and learning. It was concluded that future research would benefit from a greater balance between empirical research and theoretical enquiry and to identify more strategically significant cross-institutional research to support the government’s vision of making Hong Kong a regional education hub.preprin
The Importance of Using Information Communication Technology for Learning and Teaching the English Language in Kurdistan of Iraq
Kurdistan as a region in north of Iraq has undergone significant changes regarding its educational system, and using ICTs (information communication technologies) for teaching and learning English has been given a great role in the system. There are many researchers who wrote about the benefits and the challenges of using ICTs. As the term ICT includes many kinds of devices and applications, students and teachers in Kurdistan are using various types of ICTs inside or outside of the schools. Students and teachers use ICTs for teaching and learning the skills of the English language such as reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Although it is new for Kurdistan to imbed ICTs on a broad scale, there are also challenges and side effects. In that respect, this study tries demonstrating the importance of using ICTs, benefits, challenges, and negative sides in Kurdistan in the perspective of both teachers and students. The results of the study show that teachers and students in Kurdistan find ICTs very beneficial for improving their English language proficiency

Technology integration into the elementary school curriculum
A new generation of students born after 1985 – the Net Generation or Digital Natives – is now entering public schools. Historical overview shows the picture of growing computer use by children in homes and in schools for the past 10 years. ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) literacy skills and tools help students to acquire the skills needed to use the technologies within the classroom. National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) and NETS performance indicators provide guidelines for teachers of what students should know and be able to do with technologies by the end of every grade level.
This paper describes the ideas of various authors on how to integrate computer technologies into the elementary school curriculum and to overcome barriers of technology integration. The paper finishes with conclusions and recommendations for the integration of technology in schools
