Cloud computing is an Internet-based, emerging technology, tends to be prevailing in our environment especially in the field of computer sciences and information technologies which require network computing on large scale. Cloud Computing is a shared pool of services which is gaining popularity due to its cost, effectiveness, avilability and great production. Along with its numerous benefits, cloud computing brings much more challenging situation regarding data privacy, data protection, authenticated access, Intellectual property rights etc. Due to these issues, adoption of cloud computing is becoming difficult in today’s world. In this review paper, various security issues regarding data privacy and reliability, key factors which are affecting cloud computing, have been addressed and also suggestions on particular areas have been discussed

Risk Assessment for Logistics Applications in Cloud Migration

The increase in the number of cloud data centers is due to an increase in the number of companies migrating to cloud computing. There are many advantages that companies get when migrating to the cloud, but there are also many disadvantages. Multitenancy security and privacy are important challenges for cloud migration users. This study proposes a way to assess the risks that may arise in the cloud migration process for logistics business applications. The research method used is semi-quantitative with a 3-phase approach, namely before migration, during migration, and after migration by considering the criteria for risk aspects and environmental aspects that will have an impact on the company, so that companies can make risk mitigation plans. The results of this study identified 11 (eleven) threats in the cloud that occupy the top ranking and identify as many as 17 (seventeen) indicators obtained from the identification of indicators in the previous model or framework used to assess risks in logistics business applications that will be implemented. migrated to the cloud. Based on the experimental results in this study, the application risk value during migration and after migration has a higher value than before migration, and the risk value during migration are higher than the risk value after migration

From cloud computing security towards homomorphic encryption: A comprehensive review

“Cloud computing” is a new technology that revolutionized the world of communications and information technologies. It collects a large number of possibilities, facilities, and developments, and uses the combining of various earlier inventions into something new and compelling. Despite all features of cloud computing, it faces big challenges in preserving data confidentiality and privacy. It has been subjected to numerous attacks and security breaches that have prompted people to hesitate to adopt it. This article provided comprehensive literature on the cloud computing concepts with a primary focus on the cloud computing security field, its top threats, and the protection against each one of them. Data security/privacy in the cloud environment is also discussed and homomorphic encryption (HE) was highlighted as a popular technique used to preserve the privacy of sensitive data in many applications of cloud computing. The article aimed to provide an adequate overview of both researchers and practitioners already working in the field of cloud computing security, and for those new in the field who are not yet fully equipped to understand the detailed and complex technical aspects of cloud computing

Verify and trust: A multidimensional survey of zero-trust security in the age of IoT

The zero-trust (ZT) model assumes that all users, devices, and network traffic should not considered as trusted until proven. The Zero-trust model emphasizes the importance of verifying and authenticating every user and device, and limiting access to resources based on the principle of least privilege. Under the principle of the zero-trust model, devices are granted access after they have been successfully presented with their authentication credentials and access rights based on different factors, such as user identity, device health, location, and behaviour. Access controls are then continuously evaluated and updated as user properties, locations and behaviour change. The zero-trust model can be applied in various domains (healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, government etc.) to provide a comprehensive approach to cybersecurity that helps organizations to reduce risk and protect critical assets. This paper aims to provide a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the zero-trust model, its principles, and its applications, as well as to propose recommendations for organizations looking to adopt this approach. We explore the major components of the zero-trust framework and their integration across different practical domains. Finally, we provide insightful discussions on open research issues within the zero-trust model in terms of the security and privacy of users and devices. This paper should help researchers and practitioners understand the importance of a zero-trust framework and adopt the zero-trust model for effective security, privacy, and resilience of their networks
