    Preparing architectural technology students for BIM 2016 mandate.

    This paper presents a challenging stand for architectural technology (AT) students, and roles. What roles are AT graduates going to play before and after the 2016 Building Information Modelling (BIM) mandate and how academia is preparing them for such roles. All these questions and others have been debated since the mandate, speculation more than any other tangible knowledge or experience is the basis for most changes to the AT curriculum. AT student expectations have been explored and the different opportunities that a graduate might have, in the light of the suggested roles. A survey was designed and emailed to third year students in the second semester of their study. The purpose was to understand students perception on BIM within the context of professional practice (s) this included both; work placement and Simulated Professional Practice. The results suggest that BIM as a practice in context still lacking, however AT graduates feel confident for the mandate. But to overcome the current transitional stage academia needs both; contextual teaching and training of BIM, and stronger ties with the industry. Achieving that would provide well-trained and confident AT graduates to take up the transitional change competently and innovatively in AEC practices

    Durante la transición de nuestra carrera se van impartiendo distintas asignaturas, con un pilar en común entre todas ellas, pero sin acabar de juntarlas hasta los últimos cursos. Este trabajo muestra cómo se estudia la carrera de Architectural Technology and Construction Management en la localidad danesa de Horsens, que, como ya sabéis, tiene una educación basada en el autoaprendizaje y la búsqueda de información. Por lo que, mezclando la educación española y danesa, como un puzzle, se juntan todas esas asignaturas aprendidas al largo de la carrera para desarrollar un proyecto real, des de la propuesta del diseño constructivo y arquitectónico de una reforma/extensión, en mi caso, hasta la entrega final del edificio construido, realizando un paso por los detalles constructivos, plannings, industriales, presupuesto, contratos, etc. Basándome en éstas distintas fases, podré enseñar algunos de los documentos utilizados en el semestre anterior en Dinamarca. También me centraré en uno de los industriales de la vivienda, que en mi caso, ya que trabajo en una empresa dedicada al mármol, será la realización de los baños, tanto pavimento como aplacados

    Import 04/07/2011Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá dodatečným zateplením novostavby bytového domu. V první části bakalářské práce je řešen technologický postup zateplovacích prací na vybraný systém zateplení. V druhé části je posuzována zateplená obvodová stěna budovy z hlediska tepelně technického posouzení a je porovnána se skladbou nezateplené stěny budovy. V poslední části bakalářské práce jsou porovnány náklady na vytápění a vyhodnocení návratnosti zateplené stěny. K bakalářské práci je přiložena výkresová dokumentace, rozpočet stavby rozdělen po jednotlivých podlažích a rozpočet dodatečného zateplení objektu, harmonogram prací a potřebné tepelně technické výpočty. Hlavním přínosem této bakalářské práce bude zjištěni, zda se vyplatí investovat do zateplení členitých objektů.This thesis deals with the additional insulation of new building's apartment house. In the first part of this work I solved the technological process of insulation works on the selected insulation system. In the second part of this thesis I assessed the heated perimeter wall of the building in terms of heat-technical assessment and I compared this with the non-insulated wall structure of the building. In the last part of the thesis I compared the cost of heating and return of the insulated walls. The thesis is accompanied by drawings, construction budget breakdown by floors and Budget additional insulation of the building, work schedule and the necessary heat technical calculations. The main contribution of this thesis is going to be finding whether it is worth it to invest in to the insulation of jagged objects.Prezenční225 - Katedra pozemního stavitelstvívelmi dobř
