    Determination of the right medical equipment supplier using the EDAS and WASPAS methods

    Bu çalışmanın amacı bir sağlık kuruluşunda yapılan boyun fıtığı, bel fıtığı ve omurga ameliyatlarında kullanılacak olan tıbbi malzemeler için en uygun tedarikçi firmayı belirlemektir. Bu süreçte malzemelerin uygun şekilde tedarikine ilave olarak tedarikçi firmanın da hizmet vermesi gerekmektedir. Bu nedenle kuruluş için, hekim ve hasta memnuniyetini en üst seviyeye çıkaracak tedarikçiyi belirlemek çok önemli olmaktadır. Bu süreç çok kriterli karar verme (ÇKKV) problemi olarak da görülmektedir. Bu nedenle problemi çözmek için ÇKKV yöntemlerinden Step-Wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA), Evaluation based on Distance from Average Solution (EDAS) ve Weighted Aggregated Sum Product ASsessment (WASPAS) yöntemleri bütünleşik olarak kullanılarak en uygun tedarikçi firma belirlenmiştir. SWARA ile kriter ağırlıkları belirlenirken, EDAS ve WASPAS yöntemleri ile tedarikçiler, kriterler dikkate alınarak değerlendirilmiştir. Ayrıca duyarlılık analizi yapılarak kriter ağırlıklarının tedarikçi seçimindeki olası etkileri ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Yöntemlerin uygulanması neticesinde en uygun tedarikçinin EDAS’a göre T1, WASPAS’a göre ise T2 olduğu belirlenmiştir. T3 her iki yönteme göre de son sırada yer almıştır.The aim of this study was to determine the most appropriate supplier for the medical equipment to be used in cervical disc herniation, lumbar disc herniation, and spine surgeries in a health institution. The supplier was also to provide maintaining services. Thus, determination of the proper supplier was of great importance for the health institution to maximize the satisfaction of the physicians and the patients. It was considered to be a Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) problem, so the Step-Wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA), Evaluation based on Distance from Average Solution (EDAS), and Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) methods were used in an integrated way in the determination process. While the SWARA method was employed in determining the weights for the criteria, the EDAS and WASPAS methods were used in the evaluation process. A sensitivity analysis was also made to reveal the possible effects of the weights on supplier selection. The results demonstrated that the best supplier was T1 according to EDAS, and T2 according to WASPAS, while T3 was in the last place according to both methods

    Industry 5.0 acceptance is accelerating, but research is still in its infancy, and existing research covers a small subset of context-specific obstacles. This study aims to enumerate all potential obstacles, quantitatively rank them, and assess interdependencies at the organizational level for Industry 5.0 adoption. To achieve this, we thoroughly review the literature, identify obstacles, and investigate causal relationships using a multi-criteria decision-making approach called single value Neutrosophic TODIM. Single-valued Neutrosophic sets (SVNS) ensembles are employed in a real-world setting to deal with uncertainty and indeterminacy. The suggested strategy enables the experts to conduct group decision-making by focusing on ranking the smaller collection of criterion values and the comparison with the decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory method (DEMATEL). According to the findings, the most significant hurdles are expenses and the funding system, capacity scalability, upskilling, and reskilling of human labor. As a result, a comfortable atmosphere is produced for decision-making, enabling the experts to handle an acceptable amount of data while still making choices

    Green suppler selection by an integrated method with stochastic acceptability analysis and MULTIMOORA

    In the process of supplier selection for green supply chain management, uncertain information may appear in alternatives’ performances or experts’ preferences. The stochastic multicriteria acceptability analysis (SMAA) is a beneficial technique to tackling the uncertain information in such a problem and the MULTIMOORA is a robust technique to aggregate alternatives’ utilities. This study dedicates to proposing an SMAA-MULTIMOORA method by considering the advantages of both methods. The integrated method can accept uncertain information as inputs. The steps of the SMAA-MULTIMOORA are illustrated. A case study about the selection of green suppliers is given to show the validity and robustness of the SMAA-MULTIMOORA method

    Research Agenda on Multiple-Criteria Decision-Making: New Academic Debates in Business and Management

    [EN] Systemic disruptions are becoming more continuous, intense, and persistent. Their effects have a severe impact on the economy in volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) environments that are increasingly transversal to productive sectors and activities. Researchers have intensified their academic production of multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) in recent years. This article analyzes the research agenda through a systematic review of scientific articles in the Web of Science Core Collection according to the Journal Citation Report (JCR), both in the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) and in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE). According to the selected search criteria, 909 articles on MCDM published between 1979 and 2022 in Web of Science journals in the business and management categories were located. A bibliometric analysis of the main thematic clusters, the international collaboration networks, and the bibliographic coupling of articles was carried out. In addition, the analysis period is divided into two subperiods (1979¿2008 and 2009¿2022), establishing 2008 as the threshold, the year of the Global Financial Crisis (GFC), to assess the evolution of the research agenda at the beginning of systemic disruptions. The bibliometric analysis allows the identification of the motor, basic, specialized, and emerging themes of each subperiod. The results show the similarities and differences between the academic debate before and after the GFC. The evidence found allows academics to be guided in their high-impact research in business and management using MCDM methodologies to address contemporary challenges.     An overview of fuzzy techniques in supply chain management: bibliometrics, methodologies, applications and future directions

    Every practice in supply chain management (SCM) requires decision making. However, due to the complexity of evaluated objects and the cognitive limitations of individuals, the decision information given by experts is often fuzzy, which may make it difficult to make decisions. In this regard, many scholars applied fuzzy techniques to solve decision making problems in SCM. Although there were review papers about either fuzzy methods or SCM, most of them did not use bibliometrics methods or did not consider fuzzy sets theory-based techniques comprehensively in SCM. In this paper, for the purpose of analyzing the advances of fuzzy techniques in SCM, we review 301 relevant papers from 1998 to 2020. By the analyses in terms of bibliometrics, methodologies and applications, publication trends, popular methods such as fuzzy MCDM methods, and hot applications such as supplier selection, are found. Finally, we propose future directions regarding fuzzy techniques in SCM. It is hoped that this paper would be helpful for scholars and practitioners in the field of fuzzy decision making and SCM
