In this modern era, cloud-based services like e-commerce, e-gate, and so on provide immense services to humans.    Healthcare centers are gradually moving to cloud-based services. In which, both the hospital and patients are connected remotely online and patient gets treatment quickly. Increasing the demand in Telecare Medical Information System (TMIS) needs to ensure the security and privacy of the healthcare centers and patients’ information. In this paper, we have proposed an e?cient and provably secure Elliptic Curve cryptography image based mutual authentication scheme for cloud assisted TMIS. The proposed authentication schemes ensure the secured treatment provided to patients from healthcare center through online. The patient can upload their health condition data to cloud via mobile device for the treatment.  The proposed authentication scheme required minimum computational cost with minimum communication overhead. The proposed authentication scheme preserves patient anonymity and withstands the known and chosen plaintext attack. The security analysis for the proposed scheme shows that the proposed authentication scheme is more secure. It shows that the proposed authentication scheme is performing well compare to the related authentication schemes

Mobile cloud computing comprises of cloud computing, mobile computing and wireless network. Providing secure and convenience for the mobile users to access multiple cloud computing services is essential. This paper furnish an effective way of providing the authentication for the mobile users to access multiple cloud computing services. The proposed scheme outfit a secure and expediency for mobile users to access several cloud computing services from multiple service providers using a single private key. Our proposed scheme is based on bilinear pairing cryptosystem. In addition, the scheme also supports mutual authentication, key exchange, user anonymity. To overcome the vulnerabilities of traditional methods, from system implementation point of view, the proposed scheme eliminates the usage of verification tables that are required to store the user credentials(user ID and password) which are the part of smart card generator service and cloud computing service provider

The Internet of Things prompt deployment enhances the security concerns of these systems in recent years. The enormous exchange of sensory information between devices raises the necessity for a secure authentication scheme for Internet of Things devices. Despite many proposed schemes, providing authenticated and secure communication for Internet of Things devices is still an open issue. This research addresses challenges pertaining to the Internet of Things authentication, verification, and communication, and proposes a new secure lightweight mechanism for Internet of Things devices in the generic domain. The proposed authentication method utilizes environmental variables obtained by sensors to allow the system to identify genuine devices and reject anomalous connections

A Fast and Scalable Authentication Scheme in IoT for Smart Living

Numerous resource-limited smart objects (SOs) such as sensors and actuators have been widely deployed in smart environments, opening new attack surfaces to intruders. The severe security flaw discourages the adoption of the Internet of things in smart living. In this paper, we leverage fog computing and microservice to push certificate authority (CA) functions to the proximity of data sources. Through which, we can minimize attack surfaces and authentication latency, and result in a fast and scalable scheme in authenticating a large volume of resource-limited devices. Then, we design lightweight protocols to implement the scheme, where both a high level of security and low computation workloads on SO (no bilinear pairing requirement on the client-side) is accomplished. Evaluations demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of our scheme in handling authentication and registration for a large number of nodes, meanwhile protecting them against various threats to smart living. Finally, we showcase the success of computing intelligence movement towards data sources in handling complicated services.Comment: 15 pages, 7 figures, 3 tables, to appear in FGC

Cloud computing has changed the corporate as well as educational industry since it was introduced. The cloud computing is basically cost effective, convenient and on demand service offered to the end users. For instance it lead to cost reserve funds as well as better resource usage and removing the need of specialized technical skill for the users. There exists a huge security concern when utilizing cloud services. The security is extremely vital in cloud computing since individuals and organizations store private information in the cloud and it should likewise be not difficult to utilize the services provided to users. Since the control of services and information required for the regular run of a organization is handled by third party service providers, End user needs to believe the third party cloud service providers and trust that they handle their information in a right way and resources are available as and when needed. There are many approaches proposed for authentication in cloud services. They are intricate, insecure or highly exclusive. In this Paper we have carried of the comparative study of different authentication schemes in cloud computing finally summarize on the basis of different evaluation criteria

VisTAS:Blockchain-based Visible and Trusted Remote Authentication System

The information security domain focuses on security needs at all levels in a computing environment in either the Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Cloud of Things, or any other implementation. Data, devices, services, or applications and communication are required to be protected and provided by information security shields at all levels and in all working states. Remote authentication is required to perform different administrative operations in an information system, and Administrators have full access to the system and may pose insider threats. Superusers and administrators are the most trusted persons in an organisation. “Trust but verify” is an approach to have an eye on the superusers and administrators. Distributed ledger technology (Blockchain-based data storage) is an immutable data storage scheme and provides a built-in facility to share statistics among peers. Distributed ledgers are proposed to provide visible security and non-repudiation, which securely records administrators’ authentications requests. The presence of security, privacy, and accountability measures establish trust among its stakeholders. Securing information in an electronic data processing system is challenging, i.e., providing services and access control for the resources to only legitimate users. Authentication plays a vital role in systems’ security; therefore, authentication and identity management are the key subjects to provide information security services. The leading cause of information security breaches is the failure of identity management/authentication systems and insider threats. In this regard, visible security measures have more deterrence than other schemes. In this paper, an authentication scheme, “VisTAS,” has been introduced, which provides visible security and trusted authentication services to the tenants and keeps the records in the blockchain
