INTELLIGENT CONTROLLING THE GRIPPING FORCE OF AN OBJECT BY TWO COMPUTER-CONTROLLED COOPERATIVE ROBOTS

This paper presents a Multiple Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (MANFIS)-based method for regulating the handling force of a common object. The foundation of this method is the prediction of the inverse dynamics of a cooperative robotic system made up of two 3-DOF robotic manipulators. Considering the no slip in contact between the tool and the object, an object is moved. to create and feed the MANFIS database, the inverse kinematics and dynamic equations of motion for the closed chain of motion for both arms are established in Matlab. Results from a SimMechanic simulation are given to demonstrate how well the suggested ANFIS controller works. Several manipulated object movements covering the shared workspace of the two manipulator arms are used to test the proposed control strategy

The paper presents position/force control with a completely fuzzified adaptive force control system for the single degree of freedom servo mechanisms. The proposed force control scheme contains an adaptive fuzzy force controller and a subordinated fuzzy velocity controller. By using a second-order reference model, a model reference-based fuzzy adaptation mechanism is able to keep the error between the model and system output responses within desired limits. The results obtained by computer simulations indicate a stable performance of the force control system for a wide range of environment stiffness variations. The proposed adaptive force control method has also been effective in case of a contact with a rough surface or a complex form workpiece.Članak prikazuje upravljanje položajem/silom dodira slijednog mehanizma s jednim stupnjem slobode gibanja korištenjem neizrazitog adaptivnog sustava upravljanja silom. Predložena shema upravljanja silom dodira sadrži adaptivni neizraziti regulator sile i podređeni neizraziti regulator brzine vrtnje.

An Intelligent System Approach to the Dynamic Hybrid Robot Control

The objective of this study was to solve the robot dynamic hybrid control problem using intelligent computational processes. In the course of problem- solving, biologically inspired models were used. This was because a robot can be seen as a physical intelligent system which interacts with the real world environment by means of its sensors and actuators. In the robot hybrid control method the neural networks, fuzzy logics and randomization strategies were used. To derive a complete intelligent state-of-the-art hybrid control system, several experiments were conducted in the study. Firstly an algorithm was formulated that can estimate the attracting basin boundary for a stable equilibrium point of a robot's kinematic nonlinear system. From this point the Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) based solution approach was verified for the inverse kinematics solution. Secondly, for the intelligent trajectory generation approach, the segmented tree neural networks for each link (inverse kinematics solution) and the randomness with fuzziness (coping the unstructured environment from the cost function) were used. A one-pass smoothing algorithm was used to generate a practical smooth trajectory path in near real time. Finally, for the hybrid control system the task was decomposed into several individual intelligent control agents, where the task space was split into the position-controlled subspaces, the force-controlled subspaces and the uncertain hyper plane identification subspaces. The problem was considered as a blind-tracking task by a human

Study of Motion Control of A Flexible Link

20th century has witnessed massive upsurge in the use of manipulators in several industries especially in space, defense, and medical industries. Among the types of manipulators used, single link manipulators are the most widely used. A single link robotic manipulator is nothing but a link controlled by an actuator to carry out a particular function such as placing a payload from point A to point B. For low power requirements single link manipulators are made up of light weight materials which require flexibility considerations.Flexibility makes the dynamics of the link heavily non-linear which induces vibrations and overshoot. In this project initially the dynamic model of rigid flexible manipulator is explained, then the state space model of the manipulator system is incorporated into MATLAB. The link flexibility is studied by a single beam FEmodel, where expressions for kinetic and potential energyare employed to derive the torqueequation. The 3 flexible link equations are coupled in terms of 3 variables, θ, Ø and v. The tip angle is finally given aslvfor flexible case whereas for the rigid manipulator the tip angle is same as the hub angle θ. Thereforeaccurate computation of v is very important. The joint flexibility is excluded from analysis.Several comparisons were made between the rigid and flexible link for torque requirement. The relation between the trajectory and hub angle is also plotted in a graph. Finally a PD controller taking the errors and its derivative is designed based on the rigid link dynamics

Lungs cancer nodules detection from ct scan images with convolutional neural networks

Lungs cancer is a life-taking disease and is causing a problem around the world for a long time. The only plausible solution for this type of disease is the early detection of the disease because at preliminary stages it can be treated or cured. With the recent medical advancements, Computerized Tomography (CT) scan is the best technique out there to get the images of internal body organs. Sometimes, even experienced doctors are not able to identify cancer just by looking at the CT scan. During the past few years, a lot of research work is devoted to achieve the task for lung cancer detection but they failed to achieve accuracy. The main objective of this piece of this research was to find an appropriate method for classification of nodules and non-nodules. For classification, the dataset was taken from Japanese Society of Radiological Technology (JSRT) with 247 three-dimensional images. The images were preprocessed into gray-scale images. The lung cancer detection model was built using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN). The model was able to achieve an accuracy of 88% with lowest loss rate of 0.21% and was found better than other highly complex methods for classification
