    Get PDF
Bu çalışmada, konaklama işletmelerindeki doluluk oranının tahmini için ABC algoritması kullanılarak, ANFIS eğitimi gerçekleştirilmiştir. 1990 - 2014 yılları arasındaki tesis sayısı, yatak sayısı, konaklayan yabancı ziyaretçi sayısı, geceleme sayısı ve ortalama kalış süresi giriş değişkeni olarak alınarak 5 giriş ve 1 çıkıştan oluşan ANFIS yapısı oluşturulmuştur. Çıkış olarak ise doluluk oranı kullanılmıştır. ANFIS'in yapısında bulunan başlangıç ve sonuç parametrelerinin optimizasyonu, ABC algoritması kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar regresyon ve ANFIS tabanlı diğer yöntemlerle (ANFIS-PSO, ANFIS-DE) karşılaştırılmıştır. Simülasyon sonuçları konaklama işletmelerindeki doluluk oranının tahmininde önerilen yöntemin etkili olduğunu göstermektedir

ORDER BASED EMIGRANT CREATION STRATEGY FOR PARALLEL ARTIFICIAL BEE COLONY ALGORITHM

Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm inspired by the foraging behaviors of real honey bees is one of the most important swarm intelligence based optimization algorithms. When considering the robust and phase divided structure of the ABC algorithm, it is clearly seen that ABC algorithm is intrinsically suitable for parallelization. In this paper, we proposed a new emigrant creation strategy for parallel ABC algorithm. The proposed model named order based emigrant creation strategy depends on sending best food source in a subcolony after modifying it with another food source chosen sequentially from the same subcolony at each migration time. Experimental studies on a set of numerical benchmark functions showed that parallel ABC algorithm powered by the newly proposed model significantly improved quality of the final solutions and convergence performance when compared with standard serial ABC algorithm and parallel ABC algorithm for which the best food sources in the subcolonies directly used as emigrants

A Hybrid of Artificial Bee Colony, Genetic Algorithm, and Neural Network for Diabetic Mellitus Diagnosing

Researchers widely have introduced the Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) as an optimization algorithm to deal with classification and prediction problems. ABC has been combined with different Artificial Intelligent (AI) techniques to obtain optimum performance indicators. This work introduces a hybrid of ABC, Genetic Algorithm (GA), and Back Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) in the application of classifying, and diagnosing Diabetic Mellitus (DM). The optimized algorithm is combined with a mutation technique of Genetic Algorithm (GA) to obtain the optimum set of training weights for a BPNN. The idea is to prove that weights’ initial index in their initialized set has an impact on the performance rate. Experiments are conducted in three different cases; standard BPNN alone, BPNN trained with ABC, and BPNN trained with the mutation based ABC. The work tests all three cases of optimization on two different datasets (Primary dataset, and Secondary dataset) of diabetic mellitus (DM). The primary dataset is built by this work through collecting 31 features of 501 DM patients in local hospitals. The secondary dataset is the Pima dataset. Results show that the BPNN trained with the mutation based ABC can produce better local solutions than the standard BPNN and BPNN trained in combination with ABC

A Low Cost Image Steganalysis by Using Domain Adaptation

Information hiding and data encryption are used widely to protect data and information from anonymous access. In digital world, hiding and encrypting of the desired data into an image is a smart way to protect information with a low cost. In the digital images, steganalysis is a known method to distinguish between clean and stego images. Most of recent researches in this scope exploit feature reduction algorithms to improve the performance of correct detections. However, dimension reduction alone could not tackle the problem of steganalysis because the properties of stego images change during the steganalysis process. In this work, it is intended to propose an Image Steganalysis using visual Domain Adaptation (ISDA), which this steganalysis target images to distinguish across stego and clean images. ISDA is a dimensionality reduction approach that considers the image drifts during the steganography process in the steganalysis of target images. Moreover, ISDA employs domain invariant clustering in an embedded representation to cluster clean and stego images in the reduced subspace. The results on benchmark datasets demonstrate that ISDA thoroughly outperforms all of the state of the art methods on validation parameters, accuracy of detection and time complexit

Optimization, basically, is the economics of science. It is concerned with the need to maximize profit and minimize cost in terms of time and resources needed to execute a given project in any field of human endeavor. There have been several scientific investigations in the past several decades on discovering effective and efficient algorithms to providing solutions to the optimization needs of mankind leading to the development of deterministic algorithms that provide exact solutions to optimization problems. In the past five decades, however, the attention of scientists has shifted from the deterministic algorithms to the stochastic ones since the latter have proven to be more robust and efficient, even though they do not guarantee exact solutions. Some of the successfully designed stochastic algorithms include Simulated Annealing, Genetic Algorithm, Ant Colony Optimization, Particle Swarm Optimization, Bee Colony Optimization, Artificial Bee Colony Optimization, Firefly Optimization etc. A critical look at these ‘efficient’ stochastic algorithms reveals the need for improvements in the areas of effectiveness, the number of several parameters used, premature convergence, ability to search diverse landscapes and complex implementation strategies. The African Buffalo Optimization (ABO), which is inspired by the herd management, communication and successful grazing cultures of the African buffalos, is designed to attempt solutions to the observed shortcomings of the existing stochastic optimization algorithms. Through several experimental procedures, the ABO was used to successfully solve benchmark optimization problems in mono-modal and multimodal, constrained and unconstrained, separable and non-separable search landscapes with competitive outcomes. Moreover, the ABO algorithm was applied to solve over 100 out of the 118 benchmark symmetric and all the asymmetric travelling salesman’s problems available in TSPLIB95. Based on the successful experimentation with the novel algorithm, it is safe to conclude that the ABO is a worthy contribution to the scientific literature

A Binomial Crossover Based Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm for Cryptanalysis of Polyalphabetic Cipher

Cryptography is one of the common approaches to secure private data and cryptanalysis involves breaking down a coded cipher text without having the key. Cryptanalysis by brute force cannot be accepted as an effective approach and hence, metaheuristic algorithms performing systematic search can be applied to derive the optimal key. In this study, our aim is to examine the overall suitability of Artificial Bee Colony algorithm in the cryptanalysis of polyalphabetic cipher. For this purpose, using a number of different key lengths in both English and Turkish languages, basic Artificial Bee Colony algorithm (ABC) is applied in the cryptanalysis of Vigenere cipher. In order to improve the ABC algorithm\u27s convergence speed, a modified binomial crossover based Artificial Bee Colony algorithm (BCABC) is proposed by introducing a binomial crossoverbased phase after employed bee phase for a precise search of global optimal solution. Different keys in various sizes, various cipher texts in both English and Turkish languages are used in the experiments. It is shown that optimal cryptanalysis keys produced by BCABC are notably competitive and better than those produced by basic ABC for Vigenere cipher analysis
