Teaching Accounting and Finance to non-specialists: revealing the students' perspective on the learning experience
This study is concerned with the non-specialist accounting and finance students’ perspective on the usefulness, scope, and practical application of relevant modules within their program of study. It also evaluates relevant teaching and learning approaches adopted by accounting academics teaching non-specialist - instead of introductory - accounting modules, through revealing the students' perceptions on the effectiveness of these approaches in creating a high quality learning experience. Lectures' teaching competencies are rated first in terms of importance for their learning experience by the vast majority of students. Issues relevant to the curricula's 'real world' application, as well as, the development of clear links between lecture material and assessment practise, engrossed considerable attention by the respondents. Education technology and reading material on the other hand appeared to be of prior importance for a smaller number of students

Ascertaining the impact of endogenous and exogenous factors on the performance of students taking non-specialist accounting courses
This study aims to evaluate the potential determinants of academic performance of non-specialist accounting students. Considering both actual and initially expected performance, in conjunction with students’ learning styles and preferences, we use two econometric methods - Ordinal Probit and Ordinary Least Squared - in order to investigate and assess the impact of endogenous and the exogenous factors on the students’ academic achievement. Eventually, based on the results of our estimations, and by dividing the non-specialist students into segments, according to their demographic characteristics, we run a series of simulations to estimate empirically the likelihood of the students to report an academic performance weaker, in line, better, and considerably better than what they expected
Strategic delegation of responsibility in competing firms
This paper investigates the strategic impact of organizational design on product market competition. In a duopoly model of horizontal and vertical product differentiation, each firm's manager can impose a product location, or delegate responsibility to select product location to his subordinate. The task of a subordinate is to develop and produce the good. Quality is determined by his effort level, which depends on his private benefits. The managers compete on a product market by selling the goods produced by their subordinates. Conditions for existence of equilibria are derived, and implications for management strategy are discussed
ADVANCED ADVISORY SYSTEM
In five years of study in Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP), a student will finish
numerous of assignments, projects and thesis for all courses taken. Unfortunately, all the
documentation of their works will be left disorganized when they graduate. This situation
is called "brain drain'' and students come and go hence leaving this situation continuing
happen. Knowledge Sharing through Forum Session of Advance Advisory System (AAS)
is the solution to the problem of disorganized sources of knowledge among (UTP)
students. With the function of forum discussion, file sharing and message conversation,
AAS will suit well with the university style of having a campus community with large
database. In addition, students will benefit a lot from lesson learn and experience gained
that are shared in the forum. With the LAN application among the campus and the
academic building, AAS will be utilized efficiently. AAS hopefully will enable students
and UTP management to advance a step ahead with SAP approach which will give
benefit in term of database, security and learning improvement in the global world

ASSOCIATION OF TOXIC MICROBIAL AND CHEMICAL WATER QUALITY OF HEMODIALYSIS INSTRUMENTS DURING 2016
Various contaminants in the water which are used for dialysis may be harmful to patients, therefore, the standard compliance is vital for dialysis water. The aim of this study was the analysis of the effect of hemodialysis system in pollutants removal from Razi hospital hemodialysis instruments. This cross-sectional descriptive research studied the microbial water quality of hemodialysis instruments in Razi hospital of Ahwaz, Iran. Experiments were done according to the book of standard methods from hemodialysis instruments during 2016. Finally,
the relationship between results at different months
and stations was done, using SPSS and descriptive statistics. Results shown that the average of microbial
parameters and chemical quality in water influent hemodialysis instruments were pH =7.595, SO4=3.5 mg/l, Na=70 mg/l, C=22.95 mg/l, Mg=51.05 mg/l and HPC=1 Cfu/ml. Also, total coliform and fecal coliform in water influent indicated that the reverse osmosis process was good. Razi hospital hemodialysis system effluent was mitted Iran environmental standards

Intelligent interface for remote supervision and control of underwater manipulation
[[abstract]]An intelligent human-machine interface is presented for effective management and control of underwater manipulator tasks. It is suggested as a means of both enhancing the operator-manipulator performance and reducing the overall workload and effort required by the operator. An illustrative example is presented in the form of a high-level operator-oriented command language[[fileno]]2020419030006[[department]]工工
User Provisioning Processes in Identity Management addressing SAP Campus Management
This document is the report of the work of an ISWA working team on a WUSKAR case study. This study tackles on the desire of meta directory synchronisation with a proprietary SAP R/3 system in the context of an identity management system. Early tasks concern identifying exact desires and scenarios, modelling the synchronisation process, identifying what relevant data is to be processed, as well as proposing templates for the matching and transformation process. Intermediate tasks are related to the technical aspects of the case study, as well as problem task division and progress management, regular review of strategic and technical choices
Economic data bank management in a developing nation
This dissertation describes the results of a research project which was
undertaken at Loughborough University of Technology. The basic objectives of the research project were: (1) to investigate the management elements required for organising the
development of an Economic Data Bank (EDB), with particular emphasis
on the requirements of a developing nation; (2) to investigate the sociological, political and technical implications
associated with organising the development of an EDB in a developing
nation.
A theoretical framework was established for this study. This was dene
after an extensive search and review of literature was performed in the
areas of data and data base management systems, management information
systems, and computer technology in general. [Continues.
