    Get PDF
The physical simulation software and digital twin technology play a very important role in building a digital twin platform for water resources, which provides the necessary support to realize digital mapping and intelligent simulation of water resources production and operation. In order to promote the coordinated and efficient operation of different types of water modeling and the intelligence of watershed and water project governance processes, this project will carry out the research and application of process architecture and core technologies for water 3D simulation. The results of this project will provide the theoretical basis and technical support for the development of digital twin technology in the field of water resources in China and contribute to the development of water resources in China

Ellen Couture Designs Vintage Lingerie Fashion Line

    Get PDF
Grier and Associates d/b/a Ellen Couture Designs (ECD) is a fashion subsidiary that creates garments comprised of vintage inspired lingerie and nightwear. This line is paying homage to the owner, Robyn Grier’s, grandmother, Ellen Sutton, who was a professional seamstress, patternmaker and designer. My final project will be an illustration of 10 garments created for Ellen Couture Designs Fashion line. have sketched 10 designs that will be the initial collection for Ellen Couture Designs. A description of the garment and its historical significance will be provided. It is a common trend for the fashion designers and the industry to create garments that replicate historical fashion. My literature review will discuss and support the styles and fashion trends of modern-day fashion lines and fashion shows and specifically will describe the decades and eras that inspired the Ellen Couture Design vintage lingerie and night wear. Next, my literature review will discuss designers and fashion lines who have paid reverence to a person or ancestors. One example I plan to discuss is The House of Dereon, which was created by Tina Knowles and Beyonce Knowles-Carter, to pay homage to Beyonce’s grandmother. I plan to explore other lines that did the same. Lastly, an illustration of garments that inspired the line, a muse of the target population and a color palette board of my signature colors will be created. I will discuss the Adobe Illustrator software that was used in the making of the fashion show and the importance of patternmaking when crafting garments utilizing software programs. The final presentation will be a PowerPoint presentation which will start with a familial history of fashion, illustration of ten signature garments with description that was created in Adobe Illustrator, and the tech pack for each garment

Equipping apparel design students with the knowledge of 3D/ 2D simulation technologies: A case study and its implications for curriculum development

    Get PDF
In the competitive global apparel industry, fast-changing fashion trends and offshore sourcing of production necessitate flexibility and efficiency for product development and communication among designers, manufactures, and retailers. Three dimensional (3D) virtual prototyping technologies have potential to offer solutions for minimizing lead times and costs associated with product development (Sayem, Kennon & Clarke, 2010). 3D body scanning and 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems can be used to generate realistic body models, develop patterns, and simulate digital garments onto body models. When these 3D technologies are fully adopted it will be vital for apparel designers in the near future to exhibit competency in using these technologies for product development, communication and collaboration with cross-cultural and global distributed teams

3D modelling and simulation of a production line with CIROS

    Get PDF
3D simulation technology has been adopted successfully in production industry for dec-ades. It benefits the manufacturers by the possibility to answer ‘how would it be’ with vivid visual images, consuming much lower capital investment, resources and human power. This thesis paper first investigates into the background research of simulation and mod-elling approaches employed within the industry. Then a pallet-based Flexlink production line in FAST-Lab, Tampere University of Technology, is taken as the simulated object for case study. 3D model is created under FESTO CIROS Studio software envi-ronment, using built-in mechanism offered by the program to realize full transportation system of the assembly line, both sensors and actuators. Logic control of the conveyor system is integrated with built-in virtual PLC and programmed in FBD and STL with Siemens STEP7. The assessment results reveal the possibility of handling multiple pallets with multiple recipes simultaneously. Also the performance of FESTO CIROS Studio is evaluated as showing some limitations during research. /Kir1

    Get PDF
Learning visual subject that involves creativity, technicality and drawing skills is very challenging, time consuming and sometimes very frustrating. It requires passion and patience in order to understand and master the skills. Our study focuses on implementing a method to assist the students in understanding visual subject particularly perspective drawing in interior architecture program at the College of Fine Arts and Design (CFAD), University of Sharjah. An online 3D application known as Autodesk Homestyler has been used to assist sophomore students to understand perspective drawings. The main problems for these students are difficulties in visualizing and understanding 3D space, scale, proportion and object depth in perspective drawing. Implementation of this method allows the students to understand the subject effectively. Samples of student work, before and after the implementation are shown to demonstrate the effectiveness of this method. The result shows that traditional drawing skills that enhanced and aided by the technology such as online 3D application will give more result that is promising and this hybrid method has great potential for future development
