The relationship between solar flares and solar sector boundaries
A superposed epoch analysis of 1964-1970 solar flares shows a marked increase in flare occurrence within a day of (-+) solar sector boundaries, as well as a local minimum in flare occurrence near (+-) sector boundaries. This perference for (-+) boundaries is more noticeable for Northern Hemisphere flares, where these polarities match the Hale polarity law, but is not reversed in the south. Plage regions do not show such a perference

A case of 'new Soviet internationalism' : relations between the USSR and Chile's Christian Democratic government, 1964–1970
After Iosif Stalin's death in 1953, the Soviet Union emerged from its isolation and began to show an interest in traditionally marginalized foreign societies. As the example of the Chilean-Soviet rapprochement under Eduardo Frei's administration (1964–1970) shows, Soviet leaders viewed state-to-state relations with "progressive" Latin American regimes as an appropriate means of undermining U.S. influence in the region without risking an armed confrontation with "imperialism." The reformist project of the Chilean Christian Democratic government, which included a diplomatic opening to the Soviet bloc, provided a testing ground for the suitability of Moscow's new global approach. The surge of cultural and political exchanges indicate that the Soviet authorities were keenly interested in the Chilean experience. In addition, the considerable growth of travel and official missions beyond the Iron Curtain also demonstrates that Santiago wished to benefit by diversifying its international partners
The Chilean Road to Socialism and the Paradoxes of the Revolutionary Imagination
During the long sixties (1958-1973), within Chilean democracy, successful policies of social and economic reforms with a communitarian orientation (1964-1970) and then with a socialist perspective (1970-1973), coexisted in the leftist imaginary with the execration of the reformism from a reificated concept of revolution. This article shows how this paradoxical coexistence became into a strong tension that would be harder to deal with when President Allende undertook the Chilean road to socialism. This created one of the gaps through which the national-globalist dictatorship of Pinochet made its way (1973-1990)
You Say Goodbye And I Say Hello:analysing and comparing the lyrics of John Lennon and Paul McCartney
Abstract. This thesis will examine the songwriting of John Lennon and Paul McCartney of The Beatles, focusing mainly on the time period of 1964–1970. I will analyse themes, tone, word choices, metaphors and, when relevant, real-life connections of selected lyrics from Lennon and McCartney’s catalogue from said time period to identify the key differences and similarities between the two songwriters, and the possible reasons for those differences and similarities. The thesis will challenge the common claim that Lennon was usually the more cynical and creative party of the songwriting partnership, while McCartney was usually the more optimistic and less creative one.Tiivistelmä. Tämän tutkielman tarkoitus on tutkia The Beatlesista tuttujen John Lennonin ja Paul McCartneyn kirjoittamia lauluja keskittyen pääasiassa aikaväliin 1964–1970.
