Between history and philosophy. The poetics of the novel “Buddha’s Little Finger” by Victor Pelevin

The article focuses on the concept of a dualistic model of the world perception in the novel Chapayev and Void by Victor Pelevin. The model represents the contrast to the notion of alchemic union that stands for the ideal pattern, which cannot be realized in Russian reality. So dualism meant as a division and separation between heroes, who cannot understand each other, concerns also the division between East and West in the historical, philosophical and cultural perspective. However, the main division, which is superior upon the others, is the dualism of reality and consciousness that in the novel transforms to the universal category. КаразінаВ статье рассмотрены основные константные мотивы творчества Виктора Пелевина, прослежена их трансформация и модификация, проанализированы примеры реализации данных константных мотивов в разножанровых произведениях писателя, составляющих единое мета- и гипертекстуальное пространство. Особое внимание уделяется проблеме литературоцентричности текстового корпуса В. Пелевина. The main constant motifs of Victor Pelevin’s oeuvre are considered in the present article, their transformation and modification is traced, examples of the implementa-tion of these constant motifs in different-genres writer’s works, that constitute the unified meta- and hypertextual space, are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the problem of literaturecentrism of V. Pelevin’s texts

«Объединяющий» символ Самости в религиозно-философской традиции буддизма

В статье предпринята попытка, рассмотреть развитие гностических идей, получивших широкое распространение в учении буддизма, в частности в тибетской ваджраяне, в которой гностическое миросозерцание выражалось посредством "объединяющего" символа Самости и его антропоморфного образа (идамы, будды и бодхисаттвы). Основными задачами, решаемыми в исследовании являются выяснение особенностей буддизма, где акцент сделан на самопознание и самосовершенствование личности; вычленение из учения буддизма мистического направления тантрического буддизма с целью его анализа в контексте гностического архетипа Самости; исследование буддизма как глубоко психологического учения, апеллирующего к внутреннему миру человека.У статті почата спроба, розглянути розвиток гностичних ідей, що одержали широке поширення в навчанні буддизму, зокрема в тибетської ваджраяне, у якій гностичний світогляд виражався за допомогою "об'єднуючого" символу Самости і його антропоморфного образа (идамы, будди і бодхисаттвы). Основними завданнями, розв'язуваними в дослідженні є з'ясування особливостей буддизму, де акцент зроблений на самопізнання і самовдосконалення особистості; вичленовування з навчання буддизму містичного напрямку тантрического буддизму з метою його аналізу в контексті гностичного архетипу Самости; дослідження буддизму як глибоко психологічного навчання, що апелює до внутрішнього світу людини.In the article author tried to consider development of the Gnostic ideas whish got wide distribution in the Buddhism study, especially in Tibet Vadzhrayan where Gnostic world contemplation was considered as "uniting" symbol Samosti and its anthropomorphic view (idama, Buddha, bodhisattva). The main tasks solved in the research are definition of the Buddhism features, whether accent is on self-knowledge or self-improvement, to split off from the Buddhism mystical course of the tantar Buddhism in order to analyze it in the context of the Gnostic archetype Samosti, to study Buddhism as deeply psychological study appealing to the inward man

Viktor Pelevin is one of the most outstanding novelists in contemporary Russian literature. His works are popular with both professional critics and ordinary readers in the whole world. The present paper aims at finding the key characteristics of Pelevin’spoetics. Therefore, the author has decided to employ the notion of reconfiguration, which depicts the complexity of interrelations between the Russian writer’s novels. The conductedanalysis of one of the dominant aspects of this intertextual network — the motif of the autoteleology of language — has revealed a new universe of meanings
