Muslin fabric from the Wright Brothers aircraft
This is a fabric ephemera object encased in a plastic snap enclosure, roughly 2 inches x 1.75 inches, received as a new acquisition to UC Libraries in 2019. The plastic enclosure is labeled as “NGC™ / CAC ™ – Collectibles Authentication Guarantee ™.” The plastic encased object was digitized and housed in a sink mat system within a corrugated Talas Heritage Archival Storage clamshell for protection as well as to prevent it from becoming lost due to its small size. The fabric, yellowed with age and use, is straight on three sides but jagged on the left edge

Leather is blind tooled in panel decor with hand tools. It is sewn on three raised supports with laced-on endbands. Two Hundred Years: a Pictorial History of Madisonville for Its Bicentennial, 1809-2009 : Preservation Lab Treatment Report
This is a single signature pamphlet with two staples through the fold, though one of the staples has been lost. The pamphlet features a two‐toned (yellow and blue) cover wrapped around the textblock. The textblock paper is thick clay‐coated paper and features colorful images and graphics. This is a pictorial history of Madisonville, Ohio for the bicentennial which took place in 2009. It came to the Preservation Lab from the Public Library’s Madisonville branch, with the goal of treating the binding in order to prepare it for long‐term storage.
