Muslin fabric from the Wright Brothers aircraft

Abstract

This is a fabric ephemera object encased in a plastic snap enclosure, roughly 2 inches x 1.75 inches, received as a new acquisition to UC Libraries in 2019. The plastic enclosure is labeled as “NGC™ / CAC ™ – Collectibles Authentication Guarantee ™.” The plastic encased object was digitized and housed in a sink mat system within a corrugated Talas Heritage Archival Storage clamshell for protection as well as to prevent it from becoming lost due to its small size.
