Risk Factors Of Hypertension In The Elderly Within The Family : A Literature Review
Hypertension is a chronic disease that often occurs in the elderly and contributes significantly to increased morbidity and mortality due to cardiovascular complications. This literature review aims to identify risk factors that influence the occurrence of hypertension in the elderly in the family environment through a literature review approach. Scientific articles published from 2019 to 2024 originated from PubMed, Garuda, and Google Scholar databases. Keywords used include “Hypertension,” “elderly.” “risk factor,” and “daily activites.” Ten article met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed further from the search results. The study results show that several main risk factors for hypertension in the elderly in the family include unhealthy eating patterns (excessive salt consumption), low physical activity, obesity, psychological stress, and low social support from family members. Genetic factors also play a role, but their interaction with lifestyle and family environmental conditions increases the potential for hypertension. Older adults who live in families with little attention to a healthy lifestyle or who experience social isolation tend to have higher blood pressure. Therefore, interventions involving families to increase awareness and play an active role in supporting older adults to adopt a healthy lifestyle, such as a low-salt diet, regular exercise, and stress management, are very important to reduce the prevalence of hypertension in this age group. Further Research is needed to develop effective family-based intervention strategies.
Pelatihan Konten Edukatif Berbasis Nilai Profetik Di Sekolah
Kegiatan pengabdian ini berfokus pada masyarakat lingkungan sekolah, yaitu siswa MA Baitul Makmur Malang. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pengalaman positif siswa. Konten positif dimaksudkan dalam bentuk karya kreatif cerita pendek yang dipadukan dengan nilai profetik agama. Hal ini didasarkan atas kekhawatiran konten-koten negatif yang banyak bermunculan di media sosial. Metode yang digunakan adalah loka karya. Proses yang dilakukan antara lain, a) identifikasi masalahan sosial yang ditemui di sekitar siswa dan nilai agama yang relevan dalam pemecahan masalah tersebut, b) penulisan kerangka cerita berdasarkan ide cerita yang telah diperoleh, dan 3) pengembangan cerita menjadi cerita utuh. Kegiatan ini dilakukan secara luring dengan pendampingan intensif. Program ini berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kreativitas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Produk akhir dari kegiatan ini berupa antologi cerpen bertema profetik. Buku kumpulan cerpen tersebut diharapkan menjadi salah satu upaya untuk memperkuat budaya literasi di lingkungan sekolah
IMPLEMENTASI MODEL CTL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN PKN MATERI HAM DI KELAS V MI AL-IKHLAS BANJARGONDANG 1
This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes in the subject of Civic Education (PKn), particularly on the topic of Human Rights (HAM), which has often posed challenges at the elementary school level due to students’ low comprehension. The Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model was implemented to connect learning materials with students’ real-life experiences. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which includes four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection, conducted over two cycles. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis to evaluate the improvement in learning outcomes based on the number of students meeting the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). The results showed a significant increase, with 12 out of 17 students (70.59%) achieving the KKM in the first cycle, and 16 students (94.12%) in the second cycle. These findings indicate that the CTL model effectively enhances students’ learning outcomes by helping them relate the concept of human rights to their daily lives. CTL can serve as an innovative alternative teaching strategy for Civic Education at the elementary level. The researcher recommends the continuous application of the CTL model and further development of varied contextual learning materials to achieve more optimal outcomes
PENGEMBANGAN BENTUK PERMAINAN LOKOMOTOR, NON-LOKOMOTOR, DAN MANIPULATIF BERBASIS KETERAMPILAN DASAR BOLA VOLI DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PJOK KELAS 5 DI SDN KEBONSARI 2 KOTA MALANG
This study aims to develop a form of locomotor, non-locomotor, and manipulative games based on basic volleyball skills that can be used in learning PJOK grade 5 at SDN Kebonsari 2 Malang City. this research utilizes the RD research and development model with steps adapted to the Borg Gall model. The test subjects consisted of class 5A students selected through cluster random sampling technique from a total of two existing classes, namely classes (5A and 5B). The development procedure includes needs analysis, research planning, initial product development, initial group test (small scale), revision of initial product trial results, main field test (large scale), data analysis and final revision. Data collection instruments in the form of needs analysis questionnaires aimed at students and teachers, validation of experts such as media experts, game experts, pjok learning experts, and also student response questionnaires. The results showed that the designed product is feasible to use in pjok learning in terms of media expert validation with the results of 98.1%, game experts at 91.6%, pjok learning experts at 97.1%, while based on the results of the small group test obtained a percentage value of 85.28% and a large group test of 89.13%. Thus, this game product is suitable for use as an alternative tool for learning pjok that is interesting and in accordance with the characteristics of grade 5 elementary school students
Pelatihan Pembuatan Kompos Daun Pisang dengan Biochar Sekam Padi sebagai Solusi Ramah Lingkungan
Merjosari Village, Lowokwaru District, Malang City, some residents in RW 06 run a home industry producing lontong, contributing to economic growth and employment. However, this industry's growth impacts the environment, especially the accumulation of banana leaf waste from lontong wrappers. This waste is often dumped on the riverbank, resulting in a decline in environmental quality and pollution, while waste management officers cannot handle the increasing volume of waste. The remaining leaves are generally thrown away, potentially creating environmental problems if not appropriately managed, including the risk of flooding. Although often considered waste, banana leaves have the potential to be useful compost material. Proper processing of banana leaves can be an effective organic fertilizer, reduce waste volume, and utilize resources sustainably. However, the high cellulose in banana leaves can slow decomposition if not appropriately handled. Another obstacle is the lack of knowledge and access to efficient technology for processing banana leaves into compost. Environmental factors such as humidity and temperature also affect the quality of compost. Therefore, making banana leaf compost with rice husk biochar can be an effective solution that benefits the community and the environment. Training in making banana leaf compost with the addition of rice husk biochar effectively increases community capacity, reduces organic waste, and opens up new economic opportunities through environmentally friendly waste management.ABSTRAKDesa Mejosari di Kelurahan Merjosari, Kecamatan Lowokwaru, Kota Malang, sebagian warganya di wilayah RW 06 menjalankan industri rumah tangga yang memproduksi lontong, yang berkontribusi pada peningkatan ekonomi dan lapangan kerja. Namun, pertumbuhan industri tersebut berdampak pada lingkungan, khususnya penumpukan limbah daun pisang dari pembungkus lontong. Limbah ini sering dibuang di tepi sungai, yang mengakibatkan penurunan kualitas lingkungan dan pencemaran, termasuk risiko bencana seperti banjir. Meski sering dianggap limbah, daun pisang memiliki potensi sebagai bahan kompos yang berguna. Pengolahan yang tepat, daun pisang dapat menjadi pupuk organik yang efektif, mengurangi volume limbah, dan memanfaatkan sumber daya secara berkelanjutan. Namun, tinggi selulosa dalam daun pisang dapat memperlambat proses dekomposisi jika tidak ditangani dengan baik. Kendala lain adalah kurangnya pengetahuan dan akses terhadap teknologi yang efisien untuk pengolahan daun pisang menjadi kompos. Oleh karena itu, penerapan metode pembuatan kompos daun pisang dengan biochar sekam padi bisa menjadi solusi yang efektif, memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat dan lingkungan. Pelatihan pembuatan kompos daun pisang dengan tambahan biochar sekam padi, efektif dalam menekan limbah organik, sekaligus membuka peluang ekonomi baru melalui pengelolaan sampah yang ramah lingkungan
EFEKTIVITAS TEKNIK OKULASI DAN APLIKASI ZAT PENGATUR TUMBUH TERHADAP KEBERHASILAN DAN PERTUMBUHAN AWAL JERUK SIAM PONTIANAK (Citrus nobilis Var. microcarpa)
The success of budding is influenced by various factors, including the technique employed and the application of Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs). This study aimed to determine the most effective budding technique and type of PGR to enhance the success rate and initial growth of Siam Pontianak citrus (Citrus nobilis var. microcarpa) seedlings. The research was conducted from March to May 2025 in Batu City, East Java, using a Factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). The first factor was the budding technique: patch budding, T-budding, and chip budding. The second factor was the type of PGR: control (water), young coconut water (500 ml/L), and Atonik (1 ml/L). The analysis of variance (ANOVA) revealed no significant interaction between the two factors. However, as independent factors, the chip budding technique resulted in the highest success percentage and number of shoots (P0.05). The application of coconut water led to the fastest sprout emergence, as well as the greatest shoot height and number of leaves compared to the other PGR treatments and the control. It is concluded that chip budding is the superior method for graft union success, while coconut water is the most effective PGR for promoting the initial vegetative growth of the budded seedling
Transformasi Ruang Bermain: Aplikasi Permainan Edukatif Semi-Outdoor bagi Anak Usia Dini Di KB/TK Darussalam P4A
Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengalaman belajar dan bermain anak usia dini kisaran 5-6 tahun di KB/TK Darussalam P4A Semarang yang memiliki keterbatasan ruang. Melalui metode Pendidikan Masyarakat, kami merancang dan mengimplementasikan permainan edukatif "Plastic Rush" dan "Motoric Wall". Uji coba langsung menunjukkan respon positif dari anak-anak dan guru, menegaskan efektivitas permainan sebagai strategi pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini berhasil memberikan pelatihan dan penyuluhan praktis yang meningkatkan kualitas interaksi bermain dan belajar
Effect of Self-Selected Individual Music Therapy (SeLIMuT) on Stress and Depression Levels in Patients with Diabetic Foot Ulcers
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a metabolic disease that causes complications such as diabetic foot ulcers, with the majority of patients with ulcers experiencing stress and depression. One therapy that can be administered to address stress and depression is music therapy through self-selected individual music therapy (SeLIMuT), which aims to address the side effects of stress and depression, such as enhanced wound healing and improved quality of life. This study aims to determine the effect of individually selected music therapy (SeLIMuT) on stress and depression levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and diabetic foot ulcers at the Ikram Wound Care Center in Majene District. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test design. The sample consisted of 17 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and diabetic foot ulcers. The independent variable was the effect of SeLIMuT, and the dependent variables were stress and depression. The instruments used in this study were the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 42 (DASS-42) questionnaire, an MP3 player, and headphones. Data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon test, which showed that SeLIMuT was able to reduce stress levels (p=0.000, p0.05) and depression (p=0.000, p0.05) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and diabetic foot ulcers
Bimbingan Teknis Pencatatan Transaksi Keuangan serta Strategi Pemasaran UMKM Sektor Industri di Sidoarjo
This community service activity was motivated by low financial literacy and minimal use of digital technology in marketing strategies by MSMEs in the home industry sector in Kebonsari Village, Candi District, Sidoarjo Regency. The main problems include financial records that do not follow SAK EMKM, conventional word-of-mouth marketing, and a low understanding of the importance of internet-based marketing strategies. This activity aims to improve the competence of MSME partners in financial management and marketing through community education and direct training. The implementation method consists of socialization, counseling, and hands-on training that is applicable and tailored to partners' needs. The main work of this activity is in the form of a financial recording training module, according to SAK EMKM, a simple financial report template, and offline and online marketing strategy materials, including the use of the marketplace. The impact of the activity includes changes in business behavior towards a more professional pattern, the use of the internet in promotion, and the emergence of awareness of the importance of systematic financial management. The conclusion of this activity confirms that training based on the real needs of partners, with an applicable and participatory approach, can directly increase business capacity and community economic growth.ABSTRAKKegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya literasi keuangan dan minimnya pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam strategi pemasaran yang dilakukan oleh pelaku UMKM sektor industri rumahan di Desa Kebonsari, Kecamatan Candi, Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Permasalahan utama meliputi pencatatan keuangan yang belum sesuai dengan SAK EMKM, pemasaran konvensional dari mulut ke mulut, serta rendahnya pemahaman akan pentingnya strategi pemasaran berbasis internet. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan kompetensi mitra UMKM dalam pengelolaan keuangan dan pemasaran melalui pendidikan masyarakat dan pelatihan langsung. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri atas sosialisasi, penyuluhan, serta hands-on training yang aplikatif dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan mitra. Karya utama dari kegiatan ini berupa modul pelatihan pencatatan keuangan sesuai SAK EMKM, template laporan keuangan sederhana, serta materi strategi pemasaran offline dan online, termasuk pemanfaatan marketplace. Dampak kegiatan mencakup perubahan perilaku usaha menuju pola yang lebih profesional, penggunaan internet dalam promosi, serta munculnya kesadaran akan pentingnya pengelolaan keuangan yang sistematis. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini menegaskan bahwa pelatihan berbasis kebutuhan nyata mitra, dengan pendekatan aplikatif dan partisipatif, mampu meningkatkan kapasitas usaha dan pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat secara langsung
Membaca Kebijakan Pendidikan di Indonesia dan Malaysia Terkait Tes PISA
This research is based on the results of the 2022 PISA test, which revealed that Indonesia's scores are still lower than Malaysia's, despite both countries emphasizing literacy in reading, mathematics, and science in their education policies, as outlined in their respective constitutions and laws. This study employs a descriptive- qualitative method with a comparative approach through literature review. The results of the study show that indicate a significant gap in the abilities of Indonesian and Malaysian students in reading literacy, mathematics, and science, as shown by the 2022 PISA results. Malaysian students excel due to a more stable curriculum, a progressive mindset, and strong socio-cultural support. In contrast, Indonesian students face challenges such as a fixed mindset, math anxiety, low scientific literacy, and ineffective teaching methods. However, Indonesia's new education policies bring hope for future improvements. Changes are needed, including fostering a positive mindset, stabilizing the curriculum, implementing innovative teaching methods, and enhancing teacher quality.Collaboration among the government, schools, and families is crucial to creating a supportive learning environment, enabling Indonesian students to compete on an international level.Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi hasil tes PISA 2022 yang mana hasil skor Indonesia masih kalah unggul dari Malaysia yang saat bersamaan memiliki semangat pendidikan melalui kebijakan pendidikan yang sama dengan mengutamakan literasi membaca, matematika, dan sains yang dituangkan di konstitusi dan peraturan perundang-undangan masing-masing negara. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik komparatif untuk mengkaji literatur dan bersifat deskriptif-kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa melalui hasil tes PISA 2022 terdapat kesenjangan signifikan antara kemampuan siswa Indonesia dan Malaysia dalam literasi membaca, matematika, dan sains. Siswa Malaysia unggul karena kurikulum yang lebih stabil, mindset yang progresif, serta dukungan sosial-budaya yang kuat. Sebaliknya, siswa Indonesia menghadapi tantangan seperti fixed mindset, kecemasan terhadap matematika, rendahnya literasi sains, dan metode pembelajaran yang kurang efektif. Namun, kebijakan pendidikan baru di Indonesia membawa harapan untuk perbaikan pada masa depan. Perubahan diperlukan, termasuk pengembangan mindset positif, stabilisasi kurikulum, metode pembelajaran inovatif, dan peningkatan kualitas guru. Kolaborasi antara pemerintah, sekolah, dan keluarga sangat penting untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung agar siswa Indonesia mampu bersaing di tingkat internasional
