Nonperturbative QCD Vacuum Effects in Nonlocal Quark Dynamics

    Get PDF
A straightforward calculation reveals the essentially nonlocal character of the leading heavy QQˉQ\bar{Q} interaction arising from nonperturbative gluon field correlations in the model of a fluctuating QCD vacuum. In light of this quarkonium spin splitting ratio predictions which have supported the scalar confinement ansatz are reconsidered as a specific example of possible consequences for spectroscopy.Comment: Latex, 9 page

Citation: Yelich Biniecki, S. M., & Donley, S. (2016). The Righteous Among the Nations of the World: An Exploration of Free-Choice Learning. SAGE Open, 6(3). doi:10.1177/2158244016659319The purpose of this study was to explore how learners make meaning of their experiences at exhibits depicting narratives of the Polish Righteous Among the Nations of the World, free-choice learning contexts. The study focused on two exhibits at a university in the mid-Western United States. The conceptual framework of the study integrates free-choice learning, the role of narratives, reflection, and Holocaust education. Three main mechanisms emerged from the qualitative analysis and interpretation of data of how participants made meaning of their experiences: through emotions, being challenged, and broadening awareness. This study further informs our understanding of meaning making and learning in free-choice learning contexts, suggesting ways in which we might provide additional prompts to bridge historical distance and integrate connectors to learners’ personal contexts in international education exhibits. © 2016, © The Author(s) 2016

Vol. 11, No. 41 (October 1915). In its early years as the State Normal School, JSU produced a variety of publications (announcements, bulletins, and catalogs) that contain course information combined with the types of information that would later be found in yearbooks. Examples include historical information about the school, lists of enrolled students and club officers, photographs of athletic teams and literary clubs, notes on alumni, faculty and campus facilities, and more. This issue also contains information regarding the destruction of the new girls\u27 dormitory by firehttps://digitalcommons.jsu.edu/lib_ac_bul_bulletin/1042/thumbnail.jp

The Proof is in the Pudding: The Myth of Equality

Equality is treated as a universal and invariable concept, yet in practice authors manipulate it constantly to articulate their own interpretations, inadvertently transforming it into a political conception. Author information: Emma Lentchner recently graduated from Smith College (‘18), and majored in Political Theory and Philosophy. She is particularly interested in the underlying patterns that subliminally govern our known world and is continuously looking to explore and deconstruct these mental and institutional constructs
