This paper considers the trouble of the usage of approximate strategies for realizing the neural controllers for nonlinear SISO systems. In this paper, we introduce the nonlinear autoregressive moving average (NARMA-L2) model which might be approximations to the NARMA model. The nonlinear autoregressive moving average (NARMA-L2) model is an precise illustration of the input–output behavior of finite-dimensional nonlinear discrete time dynamical systems in a neighborhood of the equilibrium state. However, it isn't always handy for purposes of neural networks due to its nonlinear dependence on the manipulate input. In this paper, nerves system based arm position sensor device is used to degree the precise arm function for nerve patients the use of the proposed systems. In this paper, neural network controller is designed with NARMA-L2 model, neural network controller is designed with NARMA-L2 model system identification based predictive controller and neural network controller is designed with NARMA-L2 model based model reference adaptive control system. Hence, quite regularly, approximate techniques are used for figuring out the neural controllers to conquer computational complexity. Comparison were made among the neural network controller with NARMA-L2 model, neural network controller with NARMA-L2 model system identification based predictive controller and neural network controller with NARMA-L2 model reference based adaptive control for the preferred input arm function (step, sine wave and random signals). The comparative simulation result shows the effectiveness of the system with a neural network controller with NARMA-L2 model based model reference adaptive control system. Digitization and preservation of natural resource documents were reviewed and the current status of digitization presented for a North American university. It is important to present the status of the digitation process for natural resources and to advocate for increased collections of digital material for ease of reference and exchange of information. Digital collections need to include both published documents and ancillary material for research projects and data for future use and interpretation. The methods in this paper can be applied to other natural resource collections increasing their use and distribution. The process of decision making for documents and their preservation and inclusion in ScholarWorks is presented as a part of the Forest Sciences Commons as a subset of the Life Sciences Commons of the Digital Commons Open Network launched and maintained by bepress. Digitization has increased the roles and skillsets needed for librarians and from libraries. This creates new challenges and opportunities for the library as publisher and as an advocate for open access. Digital curation melds together digitization and knowledge management and enhances community engagement. Digitization of collections are reviewed and natural resource documentation presented for faculty publications, Research Projects and Centers, eBooks, Journals, Galleries and electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs). Recommendations are made to increase the digital curation of the collection by encouraging community participation and use. Digital archives are important to natural resource professionals as society-ready natural resource graduates need to deal effectively with complex ecological, economic and social issues of current natural resources management. Natural resource research for the future needs to ensure that professionals have a greater breath of knowledge as they interpret and apply new knowledge, understanding, and technology to complex, transdisciplinary social and biological issues and challenges

A grid computing system is designed for solving complicated scientific and commercial problems effectively, whereas mobile computing is a traditional distributed system having computing capability with mobility and adopting wireless communications. Media and Entertainment fields can take advantage from both paradigms by applying its usage in gaming applications and multimedia data management. Multimedia data has to be stored and retrieved in an efficient and effective manner to put it in use. In this paper, we proposed an application layer protocol for delivery of multimedia data in wireless girds i.e. multimedia grid protocol (MMGP). To make streaming efficient a new video compression algorithm called dWave is designed and embedded in the proposed protocol. This protocol will provide faster, reliable access and render an imperceptible QoS in delivering multimedia in wireless grid environment and tackles the challenging issues such as i) intermittent connectivity, ii) device heterogeneity, iii) weak security and iv) device mobility.Comment: 20 pages, 15 figures, Peer Reviewed Journa

The legal implications of gas flaring on climate change in Nigeria

    Get PDF
Global atmospheric concentration of substances that trap heat causing warming and change of climate is caused mostly by man’s activities- anthropogenic. Since efforts to curtail anthropogenic climate change commenced and countries came together to agree under the Kyoto Protocol to reduce carbon emissions, incidentally a larger percentage of the world was left out, constituting the developing countries, some of which eventually turn out to become leading carbon emitters, like Nigeria and others. Nigeria is a large carbon emitter through its oil exploration activities involving gas flaring. The country’s mainstay is its oil which predominantly dominates its revenue profile. The consequences of its gas flaring are enormous, which constitutes a threat to its environment and to the entire region. Keywords: Gas flaring, oil exploration, legislation, pollution, environment

This study examined the effect of motivation on test performance of first year Covenant University students, Ota, Ogun State. The study adopted pre-test, post-test experimental design. Data for the study were obtained from sixty (60) students with age range between 15 and 18 years (average age = 16.5 years). Participants were randomly assigned to three conditions using independent group design. The independent and dependent variables were motivation and test performance respectively. The two hypotheses were analysed using Mann- Whitney U test. The result shows a significant difference between the result of the unrewarded students in the control group and students rewarded with verbal praise in the experimental group (U = 61.000, N1 = 20, N2 = 20, p< 0.05, one-tailed). There was also a significant difference between the result of the students rewarded with primary reinforcers and the unrewarded students in the control group (U = 45.000, N1 = 20, N2 = 20, p< 0.05, one-tailed). This study justifies the importance of motivation on test performance. To improve students’ academic performance, teachers are encouraged to motivate their students.
