The RIPE NCC internet measurement data repository
This paper describes datasets that will shortly be made available to the research community through an Internet measurement data repository operated by the RIPE NCC. The datasets include measurements collected by RIPE NCC projects, packet trace sets recovered from the defunct NLANR website and datasets collected and currently hosted by other research institutions. This work aims to raise awareness of these datasets amongst researchers and to promote discussion about possible changes to the data collection processes to ensure that the measurements are relevant and useful to the community
Digital data averager improves conventional measurement system performance
Multipurpose digital averager provides measurement improvement in noisy signal environments. It provides increased measurement accuracy and resolution to basic instrumentation devices by an arithmetical process in real time. It is used with standard conventional measurement equipment and digital data printers
H1 Diffractive Structure Functions Measurement from new data
New measurements of the reduced cross section for the
diffractive process in the kinematic domain
GeV, and \xpom<0.1 are presented. Data events
recorded by the H1 detector during the years 1999--2000 and 2004 have been
used, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 68 pb. The
measurements are derived in the same range as previous H1 data, namely GeV and GeV. Two different analysis methods, rapidity gap
and , are used and similar results are obtained in the kinematic domain of
overlap. Finally, together with previous data, the diffractive structure
function measurements are analysed with a model based on the dipole formulation
of diffractive scattering. It is found to give a very good description of the
data over the whole kinematic range.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figure; To appear in the proceedings of 14th International

Inequality Measurement forOrdered Response Health Data
When health status is an ordered response variable, Allison and Foster (2004)postulate that a distribution Q ?exhibits more inequality than a distribution P ?if Q ?isobtained from P ?via a sequence of median preserving spreads. This paper introduces aparametric family of inequality indices which are founded on the Allison and Fosterordering.Self-reported health status, inequality orderings, inequalitymeasures.
