Jana Pluhaříková Pomajzlová Title of thesis: Possibilities of using occupational therapy in patients with eating disorders Abstract: The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of eating disorders and the possibilities of using occupational therapy in their treatment. In the theoretical part, I first describe the issue of eating disorders, their etiology and treatment options. I also deal with occupational therapy as a rehabilitation field in psychiatry. The conclusion of the theoretical part is based on the studied Czech and foreign literature and I deal with the use of occupational therapy in patients with eating disorders. In the introduction to the practical part, I present the results of a questionnaire survey on the current use of occupational therapy in patients with eating disorders in the Czech Republic, which I conducted. I also describe my practice and specific therapies that I led at the Psychiatric Clinic of the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and the General University Hospital. Jana Pluhaříková-Pomajzlová Title: Occupational Therapy Group Work in Psychiatric Hospital Abstract: The bachelor thesis studies occupational therapy group work for patients with mental illness during hospitalization in a psychiatric hospital. It focuses on leading aimed group activity in occupational therapy and offers specific therapeutic units usable in practise that have been designed as a part of this paper and most of them have been verified in practice. Another outcome of the work is a workbook on the topic of time management which occupational therapists may use to manage group therapy and individual therapy as well. It also describes the role of occupational therapy in mental health care, its therapeutic benefits, and recommendations for working with a group. It aims at adult hospitalized patients with serious mental disorders (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, etc.) who often receive aftercare as a part of their hospitalization. A total of 12 therapies performed in the aim group were described in the form of case reports with their preparation, course, conclusion, and reflection. Zaměřuje se na vedení cílené skupinové aktivity v rámci ergoterapie a nabízí konkrétní v praxi využitelné terapeutické jednotky, které byly v rámci práce navrženy a většina z nich ověřena v praxi. Dalším výstupem práce je vytvořený pracovní sešit na téma práce s časem, který mohou ergoterapeuti využít v rámci vedení skupin, ale také v rámci individuální ergoterapie. Popisuje také úlohu ergoterapie v oblasti péče o duševní zdraví, její léčebný přínos a doporučení pro práci se skupinou. Zaměřuje se na dospělé hospitalizované pacienty s vážným duševním onemocněním (schizofrenie, bipolární porucha apod.), kteří často využívají následnou péči v rámci hospitalizace. Occupational Therapy profession profile in the Czech Republic

diplomové práce: V současné době je ergoterapie téměř neodmyslitelnou součástí ucelené rehabilitace. Ergoterapie je poměrně nový obor, který se neustále rozvíjí. Snaží se udržet krok s dobou a jejími nároky. Hlavním cílem této práce bylo vystihnout podrobný profil profese ergoterapeuta v České republice. Práce je rozdělena na dva hlavní celky, a to na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou popsány základní aspekty oboru ergoterapie a práce ergoterapeuta v České republice dle rešerše literatury. Praktická část práce obsahuje metodologii práce a výstupy z dotazníkového šetření. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo 315 respondentů. Zpracovaná a zanalyzovaná data jsou představena pomocí grafů, tabulek a obrázků. Podrobné výsledky z dotazníkového šetření vystihují popis současné profese ergoterapeuta. Z těchto výsledků je na závěr práce sestaven profil profese ergoterapie. Informace z praktické a teoretické části práce jsou následně porovnávány v diskusi. Výstupem diplomové práce je vykreslení reálného profilu profese ergoterapeuta v České republice dle informací získaných od respondentů. Occupational therapy is a relatively new field that is continuously evolving. It tries to keep up with time and its demands. The main goal of this thesis was to capture a detailed profile of the occupational therapy profession in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into two main units, namely the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the basic aspects of the field of occupational therapy and the work of occupational therapists in the Czech Republic according to the literature search. The practical part of the thesis contains the methodology of the work and the results of the questionnaire survey. Three hundred and fifteen respondents participated in the research. Processed and analysed data are presented using graphs, tables and figures. Detailed results from the questionnaire survey describe the description of the current profession of the occupational therapist. At the end of the thesis, a profile of the occupational therapy profession is compiled from these results. Information from the practical and theoretical part of the thesis is then compared in a discussion. Bakalářská práce "Využití ergoterapie v dětském domově" se zabývá náhradní výchovnou péčí, z níž největší pozornost je věnována dětskému domovu. Teoretická část bakalářské práce nastiňuje specifika, typologii a problémy dětí umístěných do náhradní výchovné péče. Popisuje ergoterapii jako prostředek práce s dětmi umístěných do dětského domova. Vytyčuje cíle ergoterapie a její následné využití v prostředí náhradní výchovné péče. Dále popisuje, jak lze ergoterapii využít k rozvoji sociálních dovedností u dětí umístěných do zařízení dle zákona č. 109/2002 Sb. Title: Possibilities of meaningful occupation assessment in Occupational Therapy intervention Abstract: The bachelor thesis is theoretical-practical. One of the aims of the thesis is to present the role of meaningful activity in occupational therapy. To provide context, the first chapters of the theoretical part are devoted to introducing the field of occupational therapy and basic concepts related to the topic. Meaningful activity is the main therapeutic tool occupational therapists use in patient/client care. The thesis also discusses how occupational therapists, with their broad scope and specific approach, are an important members of the multidisciplinary team. Tools for assessing engagement in meaningful activities are limited and none are available in Czech. In the theoretical part, two main foreign instruments are presented - the Meaningful Activity Participation Assessment, shortly MAPA (Eakman et al., 2007) and the Engagement in Meaningful Activities Survey, shortly EMAS (Goldberg, Brintnell and Goldberg, 2002).
