Implementing SVPWM Technique to an Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Drive with Internal Model Current Controller

    Get PDF
This paper presents a study of axial flux permanent magnet synchronous motor (AFPMSM) drive system. An internal model control (IMC) strategy is introduced to control the AFPMSM drive through currents, leading to an extension of PI control with integrators added in the off-diagonal elements to remove the cross-coupling effects between the applied voltages and stator currents in a feed-forward manner. The reference voltage is applied through a space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) unit. A diverse set of test scenarios has been realized to comparatively evaluate the state estimation of the sensor-less AFPMSM drive performances under the implemented IMCbased control regime using a SVPWM inverter. The resulting MATLAB simulation outcomes in the face of no-load, nominal load and speed reversal clearly illustrate the well-behaved performances of IMC controller and SVPWM technique to an Axial Flux PM Motor Drive system

Initial test results with a single-cylinder rhombic-drive Stirling engine

    Get PDF
A 6 kW (8 hp), single-cylinder, rhombic-drive Stirling engine was restored to operating condition, and preliminary characterization tests run with hydrogen and helium as the working gases. Initial tests show the engine brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) with hydrogen working gas to be within the range of BSFC observed by the Army at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, in 1966. The minimum system specific fuel consumption (SFC) observed during the initial tests with hydrogen was 669 g/kW hr (1.1 lb/hpx hr), compared with 620 g/kWx hr (1.02 lb/hpx hr) for the Army tests. However, the engine output power for a given mean compression-space pressure was lower than for the Army tests. The observed output power at a working-space pressure of 5 MPa (725 psig) was 3.27 kW (4.39 hp) for the initial tests and 3.80 kW (5.09 hp) for the Army tests. As expected, the engine power with helium was substantially lower than with hydrogen

Circuit with minimum number of components provides stable outputs of 2 to 8 volts at frequencies of .001 to 100 kHz. Oscillator exhibits low power consumption, portability, simplicity, and drive capability, it has application as loudspeaker tester and audible alarm, as well as in laboratory and test generators

    Drive train dynamic analysis

    Get PDF
A method for parametric variations in drive train dynamic analysis is described. The method models the individual components of a drive system, forms the appropriate system interface coordinates and, calculates the system dynamic response at particular frequencies. Application of the method for prediction of the dynamic response characteristics of a helicopter transmission, and a comparison of results with test data are also included

Comparing test sets and criteria in the presence of test hypotheses and fault domains

    Get PDF
A number of authors have considered the problem of comparing test sets and criteria. Ideally test sets are compared using a preorder with the property that test set T1 is at least as strong as T2 if whenever T2 determines that an implementation p is faulty, T1 will also determine that p is faulty. This notion can be extended to test criteria. However, it has been noted that very few test sets and criteria are comparable under such an ordering; instead orderings are based on weaker properties such as subsumes. This paper explores an alternative approach, in which comparisons are made in the presence of a test hypothesis or fault domain. This approach allows strong statements about fault detecting ability to be made and yet for a number of test sets and criteria to be comparable. It may also drive incremental test generation

PERANCANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI PENYEWAAN LAPANGAN BADMINTON DENGAN METODE PROTOTYPE

Badminton is popular in Indonesia because many Indonesian athletes perform at the international level. Therefore, the development of the rental of badminton fields should be supported by adequate facilities for the comfort of tenants, given the high business potential due to the large number of fans. The Wulung Crown Building is a versatile building that has three badminton fields, there are problems with the building because the information system is still unavailable, still conventional data processing and recording makes frequent occurrences of human errors, then for the administrator is rare to check the data of the rental report due to the distance. So based on these problems, the research is aimed at designing a prototype or system design by applying the method of prototyping that contains the stages of listen to customer, Build/Revise Mockup, Customer test drive mockup. And at the Customer test drive stage mockup using SUS testing (System usablitiy Scale) with Nielsen sampling technique that describes 5 respondents enough. With the test obtained an average score of 84.5, which indicates entering the acceptable category that indicates if it already meets the needs of the user without the need for any changes
