Bond-Dilution-Induced Quantum Phase Transitions in Heisenberg Antiferromagnets

Bond-dilution effects on the ground state of the square-lattice antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model, consisting of coupled bond-alternating chains, are investigated by means of the quantum Monte Carlo simulation. It is found that, when the ground state of the non-diluted system is a non-magnetic state with a finite spin gap, a sufficiently weak bond dilution induces a disordered state with a mid gap in the original spin gap, and under a further stronger bond dilution an antiferromagnetic long-range order emerges. While the site-dilution-induced long-range order is induced by an infinitesimal concentration of dilution, there exists a finite critical concentration in the case of bond dilution. We argue that this essential difference is due to the occurrence of two types of effective interactions between induced magnetic moments in the case of bond dilution, and that the antiferromagnetic long-range-ordered phase does not appear until the magnitudes of the two interactions become comparable.Comment: 7 pages, 13 figure

In this paper, we examine how gauge interactions can dilute the lepton asymmetry in lepton induced baryogenesis. Constraints imposed on Majorana masses keep this dilution at an acceptable level.Comment: 5 page

Gardner optimal capacity of the diluted Blume-Emery-Griffiths neural network

The optimal capacity of a diluted Blume-Emery-Griffiths neural network is studied as a function of the pattern activity and the embedding stability using the Gardner entropy approach. Annealed dilution is considered, cutting some of the couplings referring to the ternary patterns themselves and some of the couplings related to the active patterns, both simultaneously (synchronous dilution) or independently (asynchronous dilution). Through the de Almeida-Thouless criterion it is found that the replica-symmetric solution is locally unstable as soon as there is dilution. The distribution of the couplings shows the typical gap with a width depending on the amount of dilution, but this gap persists even in cases where a particular type of coupling plays no role in the learning process.Comment: 9 pages Latex, 2 eps figure

This research aims to analyze and explain the influence of Brand Dilution on Brand Reputation, Brand Dilution on Brand Loyalty, Brand Reputation on Brand Loyalty, Brand Dilution on Brand Loyalty with Brand Reputation as mediation. This research is included in the type of explanatory research, using path regression analysis and a quantitative approach. This research was conducted at the MS Glow Clinic Malang with a sample size of 245 people. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses a range of scales and path analysis with the IBM SPSS version 21 computer program. The results of this research show that the Brand Dilution scale is in the very backward category, Brand Loyalty is in the very loyal category and Brand Reputation is in the very good category. Brand Dilution has a positive and significant effect on Brand Reputation, Brand Dilution has a positive and significant effect on Brand Loyalty, Brand Reputation has a positive and significant effect on Brand Loyalty, Brand Reputation cannot mediate Brand Dilution on Brand Loyalty because MS Glow's ability to survive makes consumers see it as a positive thing

Correlations in Quantum Spin Ladders with Site and Bond Dilution

We investigate the effects of quenched disorder, in the form of site and bond dilution, on the physics of the S=1/2S=1/2 antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model on even-leg ladders. Site dilution is found to prune rung singlets and thus create localized moments which interact via a random, unfrustrated network of effective couplings, realizing a random-exchange Heisenberg model (REHM) in one spatial dimension. This system exhibits a power-law diverging correlation length as the temperature decreases. Contrary to previous claims, we observe that the scaling exponent is non-universal, i.e., doping dependent. This finding can be explained by the discrete nature of the values taken by the effective exchange couplings in the doped ladder. Bond dilution on even-leg ladders leads to a more complex evolution with doping of correlations, which are weakly enhanced in 2-leg ladders, and are even suppressed for low dilution in the case of 4-leg and 6-leg ladders. We clarify the different aspects of correlation enhancement and suppression due to bond dilution by isolating the contributions of rung-bond dilution and leg-bond dilution.Comment: 13 pages, 15 figure

Statistical mechanics of sparse generalization and model selection

One of the crucial tasks in many inference problems is the extraction of sparse information out of a given number of high-dimensional measurements. In machine learning, this is frequently achieved using, as a penality term, the LpL_p norm of the model parameters, with p≤1p\leq 1 for efficient dilution. Here we propose a statistical-mechanics analysis of the problem in the setting of perceptron memorization and generalization. Using a replica approach, we are able to evaluate the relative performance of naive dilution (obtained by learning without dilution, following by applying a threshold to the model parameters), L1L_1 dilution (which is frequently used in convex optimization) and L0L_0 dilution (which is optimal but computationally hard to implement). Whereas both LpL_p diluted approaches clearly outperform the naive approach, we find a small region where L0L_0 works almost perfectly and strongly outperforms the simpler to implement L1L_1 dilution.Comment: 18 pages, 9 eps figure
