Projective-anticipating, projective, and projective-lag synchronization of time-delayed chaotic systems on random networks

We study projective-anticipating, projective, and projective-lag synchronization of time-delayed chaotic systems on random networks. We relax some limitations of previous work, where projective-anticipating and projective-lag synchronization can be achieved only on two coupled chaotic systems. In this paper, we can realize projective-anticipating and projective-lag synchronization on complex dynamical networks composed by a large number of interconnected components. At the same time, although previous work studied projective synchronization on complex dynamical networks, the dynamics of the nodes are coupled partially linear chaotic systems. In this paper, the dynamics of the nodes of the complex networks are time-delayed chaotic systems without the limitation of the partial-linearity. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory, we suggest a generic method to achieve the projective-anticipating, projective, and projective-lag synchronization of time-delayed chaotic systems on random dynamical networks and find both the existence and sufficient stability conditions. The validity of the proposed method is demonstrated and verified by examining specific examples using Ikeda and Mackey-Glass systems on Erdos-Renyi networks.Comment: 14 pages, 6 figure

Synchronization of chaotic delayed systems via intermittent control and its adaptive strategy

In this paper the problem of synchronization for delayed chaotic systems is considered based on aperiodic intermittent control. First, delayed chaotic systems are proposed via aperiodic adaptive intermittent control. Next, to cut down the control gain, a new generalized intermittent control and its adaptive strategy is introduced. Then, by constructing a piecewise Lyapunov auxiliary function and making use of piecewise analysis technique, some effective and novel criteria are obtained to ensure the global synchronization of delayed chaotic systems by means of the designed control protocols. At the end, two examples with numerical simulations are provided to verify the effectiveness of the theoretical results proposed scheme

Finite-time generalized synchronization of nonidentical delayed chaotic systems

This paper deals with the finite-time generalized synchronization (GS) problem of drive-response systems. The main purpose of this paper is to design suitable controllers to force the drive-response system realize GS in a finite time. Based on the finite-time stability theory and nonlinear control theory, sufficient conditions are derived that guarantee finite-time GS. This paper extends some basic results from generalized synchronization to delayed systems. Because finite-time GS means the optimality in convergence time and has better robustness, the results in this paper are important. Numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed control techniques

Exponential stability via aperiodically intermittent control of complex-variable time delayed chaotic systems

summary:This paper focuses on the problem of exponential stability analysis of uncertain complex-variable time delayed chaotic systems, where the parameters perturbation are bounded assumed. The aperiodically intermittent control strategy is proposed to stabilize the complex-variable delayed systems. By taking the advantage of Lyapunov method in complex field and utilizing inequality technology, some sufficient conditions are derived to ensure the stability of uncertain complex-variable delayed systems, where the constrained time delay are considered in the conditions obtained. To protrude the availability of the devised stability scheme, simulation examples are ultimately demonstrated

In this work a robust exponential function based controller is designed to synchronize effectively a given class of Chua's chaotic systems. The stability of the drive-response systems framework is proved through the Lyapunov stability theory. Computer simulations are given to illustrate and verify the method.Comment: 12 pages, 18 figure

Space Representation of Stochastic Processes with Delay

We show that a time series xtx_t evolving by a non-local update rule xt=f(xt−n,xt−k)x_t = f (x_{t-n},x_{t-k}) with two different delays k<nk<n can be mapped onto a local process in two dimensions with special time-delayed boundary conditions provided that nn and kk are coprime. For certain stochastic update rules exhibiting a non-equilibrium phase transition this mapping implies that the critical behavior does not depend on the short delay kk. In these cases, the autocorrelation function of the time series is related to the critical properties of directed percolation.Comment: 6 pages, 8 figure

Synchronization of chaotic modulated time delay networks in presence of noise

We study the constructive role of noises in a Lorenz system with functional delay. The effect of delay can change the dynamics of the system to a chaotic one from its steady state. Induced synchronization with white and colored (red and green) noises are observed between two identical uncoupled systems and enhancement of synchrony is also observed with unidirectional coupling. We investigate both the phenomena in a globally coupled network in the presence of white and color noises.Comment: 10 pages, 7 figure
