    With the development of online shopping environment, the “dark side” of online shopping begins to appear. Onlinecompulsive buying behavior has always been a very important research topicin the marketing field. However, the discussion on online compulsive buying behavior by Chinese scholars is limited.Online compulsive buying behavior can be a problem for consumers, families and even harm to society. Therefore,from the perspective of materialism, this article explores the effect of materialism onthe online compulsive buying behavior, primarily through four aspects: the individual negative emotions, individual economic insecurity, family and peer influence on the individual and the individual’s life satisfaction and well-being. This paper aims to study the effects of psychological mechanism of materialismon online compulsive buying behavior, in order to find the drivers of online compulsive buying behavior. The results will be used to avoid the online compulsive buying behavior marketing activities

    Analysis of the children's dynamic and static stereopsis of intermittent exotropia

    AIM: To compare and analyze the stereopsis of intermittent exotropia children under the different backgrounds of dynamic stimuli and static stimuli.<p>METHODS: We collected 56 children(male 26, female 30 with intermittent exotropia at the age from 5y to 12y and examined their stereopsis under the different backgrounds of dynamic stimuli and static stimuli using a multidimensional sense perception training software. The differences between the dynamic stereopsis and static stereopsis were compared.<p>RESULTS: Totally 17 cases(30%)had both dynamicstereopsis and static stereopsis, 39 cases(70%)had either dynamic or static stereopsis deficit, only 10 cases(26%)had dynamic stereopsis, 25 cases(64%)static stereopsis left and 4 cases(10%)were without any form of stereopsis. The positive rate of dynamic stereopsis was better than the positive rate of static stereopsis, with statistical significance(<i>P</i><0.05).<p>CONCLUSION: Dynamicstereopsis is better than the static stereopsis to intermittent exotropia children

    Coordinated Damping Control Design for Power System With Multiple Virtual Synchronous Generators Based on Prony Method

    With more renewables integrated into power grids, the systems are being transformed into low inertia power electronic dominated systems. In this situation, the virtual synchronous generator (VSG) control strategy was proposed to deal with insufficient inertia challenge caused by the reduction of synchronous generation. However, as the VSG control method emulates the dynamic behavior of traditional synchronous machines, the interaction between multiple VSG controllers and synchronous generators (SGs) may cause low-frequency oscillation similar to that caused by the interaction between multiple SGs. This paper reveals that the system low-frequency oscillatory modes are affected by multiple VSGs. Then Prony analysis is utilized to extract the system mode information which will be subsequently used for VSG controller design, and a decentralized sequential coordinated method is proposed to design the supplementary damping controller (SDC) for multiple VSGs. The system low-frequency oscillation is first analyzed based on a modified two-area system with a linearized state-space model, and a further case study based on a revised New England 10-machine 39-bus system is used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed coordinated method for multiple VSGs

    Phenotypic Characterization of Osteoarthritic Osteocytes from the Sclerotic Zones: A Possible Pathological Role in Subchondral Bone Sclerosis

    Subchondral bone sclerosis is a well-recognised manifestation of osteoarthritis (OA). The osteocyte cell network is now considered to be central to the regulation of bone homeostasis; however, it is not known whether the integrity of the osteocyte cell network is altered in OA patients. The aim of this study was to investigate OA osteocyte phenotypic changes and its potential role in OA subchondral bone pathogenesis. The morphological and phenotypic changes of osteocytes in OA samples were investigated by micro-CT, SEM, histology, immunohistochemistry, TRAP staining, apoptosis assay and real-time PCR studies. We demonstrated that in OA subchondral bone, the osteocyte morphology was altered showing rough and rounded cell body with fewer and disorganized dendrites compared with the osteocytes in control samples. OA osteocyte also showed dysregulated expression of osteocyte markers, apoptosis, and degradative enzymes, indicating that the phenotypical changes in OA osteocytes were accompanied with OA subchondral bone remodelling (increased osteoblast and osteoclast activity) and increased bone volume with altered mineral content. Significant alteration of osteocytes identified in OA samples indicates a potential regulatory role of osteocytes in subchondral bone remodelling and mineral metabolism during OA pathogenesis

    Pattern identification of biomedical images with time series: contrasting THz pulse imaging with DCE-MRIs

    Objective We provide a survey of recent advances in biomedical image analysis and classification from emergent imaging modalities such as terahertz (THz) pulse imaging (TPI) and dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance images (DCE-MRIs) and identification of their underlining commonalities. Methods Both time and frequency domain signal pre-processing techniques are considered: noise removal, spectral analysis, principal component analysis (PCA) and wavelet transforms. Feature extraction and classification methods based on feature vectors using the above processing techniques are reviewed. A tensorial signal processing de-noising framework suitable for spatiotemporal association between features in MRI is also discussed. Validation Examples where the proposed methodologies have been successful in classifying TPIs and DCE-MRIs are discussed. Results Identifying commonalities in the structure of such heterogeneous datasets potentially leads to a unified multi-channel signal processing framework for biomedical image analysis. Conclusion The proposed complex valued classification methodology enables fusion of entire datasets from a sequence of spatial images taken at different time stamps; this is of interest from the viewpoint of inferring disease proliferation. The approach is also of interest for other emergent multi-channel biomedical imaging modalities and of relevance across the biomedical signal processing community

    In the title compound, {[Pb(sbc)(bpy)]·2H2O}n [bpy is 2,2′-bipyridine (C10H8N2) and sbc is the 2-sulfonatobenzoate dianion (C7H4O5S)], the PbII ion is bonded to four O atoms including carboxyl­ate and sulfonate from three sbc dianions, and two N atoms from a chelating 2,2′-bipyridine ligand. The sbc ligand acts as a μ3-bridging ligand by one O atom of the sulfonate group and the two O atoms of the carboxyl­ate. Of these two last O atoms, one builds up a dinuclear framework arranged around an inversion center whereas the second one links each dinuclear unit, forming a chain extending along the b axis.     Assessing the intention to accept inquiry-based teaching pedagogy among Chinese university students: an extension of technology acceptance model

    IntroductionDue to the limitations of traditional didactic teaching, inquiry-based teaching has attracted increasing attention and has become an important content of curriculum teaching reform in college education. Nevertheless, it is vital to investigate students’ subjective acceptance of inquiry-based instruction and its influencing factors before inquiry-based teaching methods are widely implemented.MethodsIn light of this, taking into account the psychological factors of students, an acceptance model of inquiry-based teaching pedagogy was established based on the extended technology acceptance model (TAM). Three additional variables, namely self-efficacy, implementation quality, and risk perception, were incorporated into the TAM. Firstly, subjective evaluation data of the influencing factors of inquiry teaching acceptance were obtained through a network questionnaire survey from university students in Guangdong, China, using snowball sampling and convenient sampling. A total of 485 valid questionnaires were retrieved, with an effective response rate of 88.2%. Then, internal consistency and reliability, convergent validity and discriminant validity of the model and its hypothesis were tested with reliability and validity tests. Finally, path analysis was used to examine key determinants of students’ acceptance of inquiry teaching and moderators.ResultsResults indicated that the constructed model can explain the acceptability of inquiry teaching for college students by 88.6%; Attitude has a positive significant impact on behavioral intention; Perceived ease of use indirectly affects behavioral intention through perceived usefulness, while perceived usefulness indirectly affects behavioral intention through attitude; self-efficacy not only directly affects behavioral intention but also indirectly affects behavioral intention through implementation quality; implementation quality indirectly affects behavioral intention through perceived usefulness and attitude; students’ risk perception of inquiry-based teaching has no negative impact on behavioral intention.ConclusionOverall, this study has implications for policymakers, teachers or learners in terms of the implementation and promotion of inquiry-based teaching in college classroom
