Fairness Emergence in Reputation Systems
Reputation systems have been used to support users in making decisions under uncertainty or risk that is due to the autonomous behavior of others. Research results support the conclusion that reputation systems can protect against exploitation by unfair users, and that they have an impact on the prices and income of users. This observation leads to another question: can reputation systems be used to assure or increase the fairness of resource distribution? This question has a high relevance in social situations where, due to the absence of established authorities or institutions, agents need to rely on mutual trust relations in order to increase fairness of distribution. This question can be formulated as a hypothesis: in reputation (or trust management) systems, fairness should be an emergent property. The notion of fairness can be precisely defined and investigated based on the theory of equity. In this paper, we investigate the Fairness Emergence hypothesis in reputation systems and prove that , under certain conditions, the hypothesis is valid for open and closed systems, even in unstable system states and in the presence of adversaries. Moreover, we investigate the sensitivity of Fairness Emergence and show that an improvement of the reputation system strengthens the emergence of fairness. Maastrichtian climate changes : the calcareous nannofossil record from flysch deposits of the Outer Carpathians
The Outer Carpathians are known for a few sections, where transitions from the Upper Cretaceous to the Palaeogene, including the K-Pg boundary interval, were described. One of them, the Bąkowiec section in the Skole Nappe, was examined with reference to the record of biostratigraphy and palaeoenvironmental changes, mainly based on the analysis of calcareous nannofossil assemblages. This study shows no evidence for the K-Pg boundary; however, the presence of the nannofossil species Micula prinsii, marking the topmost Maastrichtian UC20dTP Zone, was noted. The appearance of this low-latitude taxon and relevant changes in the composition of nannofossil assemblages indicate an influx of Tethyan warm water into the northern Carpathian basins during the latest Maastrichtian, shortly before the K-Pg boundary event. Therefore, the authors infer that the upper part of the Bąkowiec section recorded the latest Maastrichtian warming of climate, probably triggered by Deccan volcanic activity

The security modelling of IT systems is a very complicated task. One of the issues which must be analysed is the performance of IT systems. In many cases the guaranteed security level is too high in relation to the real threats. The overestimation of security measures can decrease system performance. The paper presents the analysis of Kerberos cryptographic protocol in terms of quality of protection performed by Quality of Protection Modelling Language (QoP-ML). ASSESSMENT OF VELOCITY ACCURACY OF AIRCRAFT IN THE DYNAMIC TESTS USING GNSS SENSORS
The paper presents a new model for determining the accurate and reliable flight speed of an aircraft based on navigation data from the three independent Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers. The GNSS devices were mounted on-board of a Cessna 172 aircraft during a training flight in south-eastern Poland. The speed parameter was determined as the resultant value based on individual components from 3 independent solutions of the motion model. In addition, the standard deviation of the determined flight speed values for the Cessna 172 aircraft was determined in the paper. The resultant on-ground and flight speed of the Cessna 172 aircraft ranged from 0.23 m/s to 74.81 m/s, while the standard deviation of the determined speed values varied from 0.01 m/s to 1.07 m/s. In addition, the accuracy of research method equals to -0.46 m/s to +0.61 m/s, in respect to the RTK-OTF solution. The RMS parameter as an accuracy term amounts to 0.07 m/s for the presented research method
