Towards a Unified Theory of Massless Superfields of All Superspins
We describe the ``universal'' action for massless superfields of all
superspins in N = 1, D = 4 anti-de Sitter superspace as a gauge theory of
unconstrained superfields taking their values in the commutative algebra of
analytic functions over a one-sheeted hyperboloid in . The action is
invariant under N = 2 supersymmetry transformations which form a closed algebra
off the mass-shell.Comment: 12 pages, LaTe
Interacting Vector-Spinor and Nilpotent Supersymmetry
We formulate an interacting theory of a vector-spinor field that gauges
anticommuting spinor charges \{Q_\alpha{}^I, Q_\beta{}^J \} = 0 in arbitrary
space-time dimensions. The field content of the system is (\psi_\mu{}^{\alpha
I}, \chi^{\alpha I J}, A_\mu{}^I), where \psi_\mu{}^{\alpha I} is a
vector-spinor in the adjoint representation of an arbitrary gauge group, and
A_\mu{}^I is its gauge field, while \chi^{\alpha I J} is an extra spinor with
antisymmetric adjoint indices I J. Amazingly, the consistency of the
vector-spinor field equation is maintained, despite its non-trivial
interactions.Comment: 10 pages, no figure
Higher Spins in AdS and Twistorial Holography
In this paper we simplify and extend previous work on three-point functions
in Vasiliev's higher spin gauge theory in AdS4. We work in a gauge in which the
space-time dependence of Vasiliev's master fields is gauged away completely,
leaving only the internal twistor-like variables. The correlation functions of
boundary operators can be easily computed in this gauge. We find complete
agreement of the tree level three point functions of higher spin currents in
Vasiliev's theory with the conjectured dual free O(N) vector theory.Comment: 23 pages. v3: minor errors fixed, added comments and reference
Gauge fields in (A)dS within the unfolded approach: algebraic aspects
It has recently been shown that generalized connections of the (A)dS space
symmetry algebra provide an effective geometric and algebraic framework for all
types of gauge fields in (A)dS, both for massless and partially-massless. The
equations of motion are equipped with a nilpotent operator called
whose cohomology groups correspond to the dynamically relevant quantities like
differential gauge parameters, dynamical fields, gauge invariant field
equations, Bianchi identities etc. In the paper the -cohomology is
computed for all gauge theories of this type and the field-theoretical
interpretation is discussed. In the simplest cases the -cohomology is
equivalent to the ordinary Lie algebra cohomology.Comment: 59 pages, replaced with revised verio
BTZ Black Hole as Solution of 3d Higher Spin Gauge Theory
BTZ black hole is interpreted as exact solution of 3d higher spin gauge
theory. Solutions for free massless fields in BTZ black hole background are
constructed with the help of the star-product algebra formalism underlying the
formulation of 3d higher spin theory. It is shown that a part of higher spin
symmetries remains unbroken for special values of the BTZ parameters.Comment: 31 pages, LaTeX; references correcte
A minimal BV action for Vasiliev's four-dimensional higher spin gravity
The action principle for Vasiliev's four-dimensional higher-spin gravity
proposed recently by two of the authors, is converted into a minimal BV master
action using the AKSZ procedure, which amounts to replacing the classical
differential forms by vectorial superfields of fixed total degree given by the
sum of form degree and ghost number. The nilpotency of the BRST operator is
achieved by imposing boundary conditions and choosing appropriate gauge
transitions between charts leading to a globally-defined formulation based on a
principal bundle.Comment: 39 pages, 1 figure. Additional comments in the conclusion
Holography of the N=1 Higher-Spin Theory on AdS4
We argue that the N=1 higher-spin theory on AdS4 is holographically dual to
the N=1 supersymmetric critical O(N) vector model in three dimensions. This
appears to be a special form of the AdS/CFT correspondence in which both
regular and irregular bulk modes have similar roles and their interplay leads
simultaneously to both the free and the interacting phases of the boundary
theory. We study various boundary conditions that correspond to boundary
deformations connecting, for large-N, the free and interacting boundary
theories. We point out the importance of parity in this holography and
elucidate the Higgs mechanism responsible for the breaking of higher-spin
symmetry for subleading N.Comment: 19 page
