Punto de equilibrio. Una herramienta para tomar decisiones

Muchas decisiones se toman individuales o en grupo, en especial aquéllas que tienen un impacto a largo plazo en las actividades empresariales, empleando comités, paneles de revisión, equipos de estudio como medios para tomar decisiones. Cuando se proponen problemas de aplicación a alumnos del primer semestre de licenciatura o ingeniería la mayor de las veces fracasan por la falta del dominio de los conceptos o lenguaje utilizado en su carrera, originando desesperación y hasta deserciones, se recomienda que en los problemas planteados como docentes nos cercioremos del nivel de conocimientos relacionados con el tema y no proponer problemas de aplicación sin fundamento, debemos inducir al alumno al uso de las representaciones semióticas y la práctica de la visualización de funciones. El artículo se describe en forma narrativa el quehacer del estudiante en la toma de decisiones a partir el punto de equilibrio, como resultado de la solución de un sistema de ecuaciones lineales, de ahí que la investigación sea cualitativa como un estudio de caso

Education for a sustainable future in teacher training. What are we doing?

La educación para la sostenibilidad debe constituir una dimensión esencial en la formación del profesorado, pero para realizar avances es necesario que los formadores en sostenibilidad en el ámbito universitario nos replanteemos algunas cuestiones tales como ¿qué estamos haciendo?, ¿qué dificultades nos encontramos? o ¿cómo seguir fomentando la cultura de la sostenibilidad? La finalidad de este estudio persigue la búsqueda de alguna luz respecto a estas preguntas. Presentamos un primer análisis que indaga sobre el cambio de concepciones que experimentan los y las estudiantes que han cursado la asignatura de Educación para la sostenibilidad del Máster de formación de profesorado de Educación secundaria en la Universidad de Sevilla, con el fin de tener datos que desvelen en qué medida las propuestas formativas que estamos desarrollando son significativas y producen aprendizaje. Hemos asumido una metodología de trabajo basada en la Investigación-acción, en la que los docentes aúnan docencia e indagación. Para la recogida de datos hemos utilizado un cuestionario tipo Likert antes del inicio y tras el desarrollo de la asignatura. Los primeros resultados nos revelan que se han producido algunos cambios significativos respecto a las concepciones de los estudiantes que tienen que ver con la visión sistémica, compleja y crítica de la sostenibilidad; respecto a los fines de la educación para la sostenibilidad y sobre la integración de contenidos de sostenibilidad en el aula acordes con la propuesta didáctica. Estos resultados nos permiten hacer una primera valoración positiva de la propuesta y nos ofrece un soporte con vista a su revisión y mejora.Education for Sustainability must be an essential dimension in teacher training, but in order to make some progress sustainability trainers should think about some questions such as, what are we doing?, what difficulties do we find? And, ultimately, how to promote Cultural Sustainability? The purpose of this study is to shed light on the issue, so we present a first analysis that explores the changing about the conceptions of the students who have completed the Education for Sustainability course, part of the Master of Secondary teacher training at the University of Sevilla, to obtain data about how the developing training is significant and produces learning. The methodology used is Actionresearch in which teachers combine teaching and inquiry. For data collection we used a Likert questionnaire before start and after the subject. The first results show that there have been some significant changes in students who have completed the subject Education for Sustainability included in the Master Course Secondary School Teacher Training at the University of Sevilla. The results show an increasingly complex and systemic vision of sustainability. Changes on the teacher’s role and his influence as an educator and the review of the concept of education are also produced. This allows us to make a positive first assessment of the experience. Also, the evaluation of the results allows us to improve the proposal

Caring for women survivors of breast cancer: sexuality

El cáncer de mama es el cáncer más frecuente en las mujeres. La supervivencia del cáncer de mama se ha triplicado en la última década, aumentando las pacientes que precisan atención después del cáncer. Entre las esferas afectadas tras la supervivencia de cáncer de mama destacamos la sexualidad. Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado pretende conocer la salud sexual de las mujeres supervivientes de cáncer de mama y sus cuidados enfermeros. Así como, proponer una valoración focalizada del patrón sexual, describir las principales alteraciones sexuales y actualizar las intervenciones más eficaces para la salud sexual de las mujeres supervivientes.Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. The survival of breast cancer has tripled in the last decade, increasing the number of patients requiring care after cancer. Among the areas that are affected after the survival of breast cancer we consider sexuality. The following degree thesis investigates the sexual health of female survivors of breast cancer, and its care nurses. And focusing assessment of sexual patterns amongst, describing the major sexual disturbances and update the most effective interventions for the sexual health of female survivors

La extrapolación en ingeniería en alimentos

En este articulo se aborda el tema de la extrapolación gráfica aplicada en Ingeniería en Alimentos y la dificultad que los alumnos presentan desde el punto de vista didáctico debido a las deficiencias que presentan en sus saberes matemáticos ya que no tienen claro el concepto de lo continuo y lo discreto lo cual contribuye a que todo lo quieren ajustar a un comportamiento continuo. Para realizar el análisis de cómo a partir de valores discretos se pueden obtener valores continuos se emplea un modelo empírico que tiene un comportamiento exponencial al que se le aplica logaritmos y sus propiedades a fin de obtener un modelo lineal con el que se va a realizar la extrapolación

Investigación acción participativa como estrategia de transformación social y ambiental

Este artículo presenta una experiencia de investigación acción participativa realizada en un barrio de Sevilla, en San Jerónimo. El objetivo principal es la transformación local de la mano de las generaciones más jóvenes del barrio, que después de realizar un diagnóstico participativo de su medio, sienten la necesidad de cambiarlo al reconocer la falta de espacios pensados con toda la ciudadanía. Para llevar a cabo dicha investigación ponemos en marcha diferentes instrumentos de recogida de información, pero hacemos hincapié en este artículo en el uso de la cartografía social. Los resultados revelan la importancia de la participación para producir cambios en las personas y en el entorno, dado el compromiso que se adquiere con el medio cuando desarrollan un sentimiento de pertenencia y de identidad con el barrio donde viven y, en consecuencia, una mejora de las relaciones con el medio social y ambiental.This article explains an experience of participatory action research carried out in a neighborhood of Seville, in San Jeronimo. The main objective is the local transformation by the younger generations of the neighborhood, that after make a participatory diagnosis of their medium, they feel the need to change it because they recognize the lack of spaces designed with all citizens. To carry out the investigation put up different information collection instruments, but we emphasize in this article in the use of the community mapping as a participatory tool that makes sense in the context of a project like that. The results reveal the importance of participation to produce changes in people and the environment, given the commitment that is acquired with the environment when they develop a feeling of belonging and of identity with the neighborhood where they live, and consequently an improvement of relations with the social and environmental means

The implementation of the SDGs in universities: a systematic review

Currently, in the field of Sustainable Development (SD), one of the most significant debates is the necessary incorporation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in education and, specifically, in higher education institutions (HEIs). In the process of truly integrating the SDGs in HEIs, it is necessary to know and identify what is already being done and evaluate the efficacy or deficiency with which universities are carrying out studies and actions to integrate the SDGs. This systematic review aims to respond to this claim by analysing the most recent scientific evidence published in the period of 2015-2020 regarding SDGs in the university context at the international level. The results of this study identify: (1) a general approach on the SDGs from a global dimension in the reviewed studies, with SDG 4 (Education) being the most frequently referenced SDG; (2) the university area from which SDGs are addressed is research, followed by education; (3) the most frequent action gathered in the reviewed studies is the integration of the SDGs in the curricular schedule, in the area of education and learning; (4) with respect to the geographic and university context in which the SDGs are developed, the review showed studies in four geographic areas (Asia and the Pacific, America, Africa and Europe), with most studies being published from European and Latin American universities

Stepwise selection of functional covariates in forecasting peak levels of olive pollen

High levels of airborne olive pollen represent a problem for a large proportion of the population because of the many allergies it causes. Many attempts have been made to forecast the concentration of airborne olive pollen, using methods such as time series, linear regression, neural networks, a combination of fuzzy systems and neural networks, and functional models. Sustainability in the University: A Study of Its Presence in Curricula, Teachers and Students of Education

This work forms part of the R + D + i ‘Training project in Spanish universities for professionals as agents of change in order meet the challenges facing society’ (Educación e Innovación Social para la Sostenibilidad (EDINSOST) 2017–2019). The purpose is to analyse the presence of sustainability in terms of curriculum content and training in competence for students, teachers and the curricula of Science of Education degree courses at the University of Seville. In this context, the curricula of the Degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education and Pedagogy have been analysed. Two questionnaires have been drawn up, and four reflection groups have been created—in which, a total of 49 teachers and 170 students have participated. The results show that there is a low presence of sustainability in Science of Education degree courses. The teachers express the opinion that they are engaged in sustainable initiatives and have an interest in ethical models. The students express a high degree of interest in receiving sustainability training. Findings provide information for introducing innovation into the university curriculum and the training of teachers and students in order to improve their competency in sustainability

Sport for all education as a proposal for inclusion and social sustainability

INTRODUCCION. El presente artículo analiza un programa denominado Deporte para Todos, que se desarrolla la ciudad francesa de Montpellier. El estudio se realiza en L’Herault Sport. Este es un organismo asociado al Consejo General de l´Hérault y miembro del grupo Hérault, que sustenta todo el movimiento deportivo del departamento francés. MÉTODO. A través de una investigación descriptiva y en base a cinco variables (género, relación de los sectores implicados, desarrollo comunitario, políticas públicas y formación de los monitores y voluntarios), cuestionamos el desarrollo del programa de Deporte para Todos como instrumento de inclusión social. RESULTADOS. Los primeros resultados que se presentan corresponden al análisis en torno a las cinco variables, mostrando las potencialidades del programa y la necesidad de profundizar en las variables de estudio para la construcción de un verdadero programa que favorezca buen vivir a través del deporte. CONCLUSIONES. Las futuras líneas de investigación apuntan a la realización de nuevas investigaciones que posibiliten una mejora en la participación de las niñas y la mujer como profesional en el programa, de creación de redes entre los sectores implicados que favorece un modelo integrado y sistémico de trabajo, una formación personal y profesional del monitor y voluntario, un compromiso sostenido de las políticas públicas y en consecuencia el desarrollo de la comunidad de estudio como espacio educativo que consolida el buen vivir.INTRODUCTION. This article analyzes a program called Deporte para todos (Sport for All), which is developed in the French city of Montpellier. The study is performed in L' Hérault Sport. This is an organization associated with the General Council of l´herault and member of the Héraultgroup, that supports all the sports movement of the French Department. METHOD. Through a descriptive research and based on five variables (gender, relationship of the involved sectors, community development, public policies and training of monitors and volunteers), we question the development of the program of “Sport for All” as a tool for the social inclusion. RESULTS. The first results presented correspond to the analysis around the five variables, showing the potential of the programme and the need to deepen in the variables of study for the construction of a real program that promotes good living through sport. CONCLUSIONS. Future lines of research target new research that make possible an improvement in the participation of girls and women as professional in the program, networking among the involved sectors that favors an integrated and systemic model of work, a personal and professional training for the monitor and the volunteer, a sustained public policy commitment and as a result the development of the community's study as an educational space that consolidates the good live

Presentamos dos proyectos que se relacionan, el primero con la mejora en las prácticas de neuroanatomía para alumnos de segundo de medicina, y el segundo con la enseñanza de la embriología humana, un proyecto bastante complejo del que presentamos aquí su inicio, pero que deseamos convertirlo a medio plazo en una asignatura virtual
