Fitobenton vizsgálatok tanulságai a Balaton és vízgyűjtője patakjainak példáján
Az EU Víz Keretirányelve előírja a tagállamoknak a víztestek ökológiai állapotának a megállapítását és a jó ökológiai állapot elérését 2015-re. A fitobenton egyike azon biológiai
elemeknek, melyek vizsgálatát a VKI előírja. Jelentős mennyiségű cikk számol be bentikus kovaalgák vizsgálatáról az európai folyók vízminőségének monitorozása kapcsán, de a tavi fitobenton vizsgálatok ilyen eredményeivel jóval kevesebb cikk foglalkozik.
2006-ban két alkalommal, júniusban és szeptemberben gyűjtöttünk bevonat mintákat a Balaton 7 befolyójából és a tó 4 medencéjéből. A kovaalgákat roncsolt mintából az európai standard protokoll szerint (EN 14407, 2004), 400 valvát meghatározva fénymikroszkóppal vizsgáltuk, valamint pásztázó elektronmikroszkóppal kiegészítő taxonómiai vizsgálatokat is végeztünk. Az algavizsgálatokkal egyidejűleg vízkémiai vizsgálatok is történtek. A kovaalga
indexeket az OMNIDIA 4.2. program segítségével számoltuk.
A Balaton nádbevonatának vizsgálatából összesen 162 kovaalga taxont határoztunk meg. Egyes vízkémiai paraméterek tekintetében a Balatonban határozott gradiens mutatkozott a
Keszthelyi medencétől a Siófoki medencéig haladva (kifejezett Ny-K-i irányú csökkenés). Ilyen volt a foszfor és a szervesanyag tartalom mennyisége, mellyel a kovaalga indexek (azon belül is leginkább az IBD) szignifikáns korrelációt mutattak. Az IBD index értékei alapján jó vízminőségű a Balaton, kivéve a Zala torkolatát, ahol közepes. Nyáron a Szigligeti medence É-i részén (Szigligeti öböl) is rosszabb (közepes) vízminőséget tapasztaltunk.
A vizsgált patakok közül közepes vízminőségűnek találtuk a Tapolca-, Eger- és Lesencepatakot, a többi patak jó vízminőségű volt a bentonikus kovaalgák alapján, de őszre minden esetben kissé romló vízminőséget mutattak az indexek
Functional diversity of phytoplankton highlights long-term gradual regime shift in the middle section of the Danube River due to global warming, human impacts and oligotrophication
Diatom composition of the rheoplankton in a rhithral river system
Diatom composition of the rheoplankton (phytoplankton) in the Sajó- Hernád river system (Slovakia and Hungary) was studied. Forty two sample sites were designated on the watershed from source to mouth of the two rivers and their tributaries. Samples were taken in July 2012. Altogether, 258 diatom taxa were identified. The microflora was dominated by tychoplanktonic elements. According to the relative abundance of the occurring taxa, four groups could be distinguished. Differentiation of these groups was confirmed by differences in the habitat characteristics, viz. altitude, width of watercourse, macrophyte coverage and river bed material. Diversity of diatom taxa in the phytoplankton was also studied. A positive relationship was found between the macrophyte coverage and the Simpson and the Shannon indices. In contrast, a negative relationship was shown between the macrophyte coverage and Berger-Parker diversity, in which metric the role of the dominant taxa is emphasized. Although the phytoplankton in rhithral rivers is influenced by stochastic events, our results reveal that geographical and hydromorphological characteristics of the rivers and coverage of macrophytes can also play role in shaping the composition and diversity of the phytoplankton
