Issue 7 includes articles on why students demonstrate, on a failed free speech event, and on establishment of a campus ROTC program at a time when many other schools were getting rid of it. It also features an article about the stop of two African students by campus security. Scorpion II

The Scorpion has stung KSC. The interest shown in our first meager effort has been more than enough motivation to continue. But the rude manner in which the Scorpion was treated upon its arrival was shocking. There was nothing the Scorpion that warranted the gross censorship it received. Scorpion V

Issue 5 comments on restrictive dorm policies for women, mocks the PE major, and looks at the theory behind the modern educational system. There are also several articles about the military and war as well as a number of poems on various topics. Scorpion VIII

Issue 8 is solely about Joe Gallagher, who was threatened with expulsion for writing an article about his student teaching experience, published in Issue 6. Scorpion I

The sole purpose of this Bulletin is to bring to the students the real truths about our institution no matter how radical or conservative they may be. We feel that the school newspaper, although they do their best, is unable to give the students anything but announcements of ball queens, insurance sales, and whatever the administration allows them to say. We fell the major purpose of a newspaper is to print the truth and the facts. The Antelope has been unable to do this so - SCORPION - will. We know many of the Antelope student staff would very much like to write what they feel but the administration seems to have final word on what is printed. We know that some of our articles may be more than the administration can swallow so we expect a great deal of backlash about our articles and welcome any opposing points of view, and we are sure that there will be plenty, especially from those who are contented with the present student status on campushttps://openspaces.unk.edu/scorpion/1000/thumbnail.jp
