Social media has increased in its usage and opportunities during the past decade and gained significance for B2B companies. The purchasing decision-making process can be shaped by using social media to trigger essential emotions of the buyers. However, the current literature landscape does not embody the same scope as it occurs in the economy. This study aims to understand the emotional states in the B2B buying decision-making process and the correlating impact of social media on buying behavior. A total of 12 in-depth semi-structured interviews were conducted and analyzed. The analysis reveals emotions such as expectation, joy, fear, excitement, interest, hope, and trust as the most commonly encountered ones in theB2B buying decision-making process. Further, it emphasizes the buyers' social media usage behavior and discloses social media as a tool to evoke emotions. The study contributes to an improved understanding of the emotional appeals and social media effect in the organizational purchasing decision. Hence, managerial implications consist, for instance, of an efficient resource allocation in terms of B2B social media campaigns

The following paper is devoted to the research about the shift in business models in the pharmaceutical industry. A fast changing business environment caused by a transformation of technology, communications and business itself, has created a new landscape for the pharmaceutical industry. The old business model built around the blockbuster drug development and production is not efficient any more. Pharmaceutical companies are shifting their business models towards defragmentation and risk aversion. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the shift in business models in the pharmaceutical industry through construction and comparison of the old blockbuster and alternative defragmented business models on the basis of the business model concept suggested by Osterwalder (2004).For the purpose of the deeper understanding of the researched issue, several in-depth interviews are held with pharmaceutical companies in Skåne region, Sweden

The European Union's crisis management has resulted in a European interventionism that restrains the EU Member States ability to regulate national labour markets. In the past, most scientific analysis focused on deficit countries under the control of the European Troika. This article uses the examples of the labour market reforms in France, "Loi Macron" and "Loi El Khomri", to examine the influence of European institutions on labour market regulations in a country less affected by the crisis

France is in motion! In spring 2016, a huge movement against the French labor law reform formed and is since then protesting in the streets and squares all over France. The article examines these struggles and asks, why the movement is currently on the rise. It discusses the struggles in relation to the general crisis dynamics and focuses on the protests of trade unions and civil society (Nuit Debout). Furthermore, the labor law reform of the Valls-Government is being illustrated in the context of the recent French labor market policy and its continuities

Exchange--correlation bound states of the triplet soft--sphere fermions by the path integral Monte Carlo simulations

Path integral Monte Carlo simulations in the Wigner approach to quantum mechanics has been applied to calculate momentum and spin--resolved radial distribution functions of the strongly correlated soft--sphere quantum fermions. The obtained spin--resolved radial distribution functions demonstrate arising triplet clusters of fermions, that is the consequence of the interference of exchange and interparticle interactions. The semiclassical analysis in the framework of the Bohr--Sommerfeld quantization condition applied to the potential of the mean force corresponding to the same--spin radial distribution functions allows to detect exchange--correlation bound states in triplet clusters and to estimate corresponding averaged energy levels. The obtained momentum distribution functions demonstrate the narrow sharp separated peaks corresponding to bound states and disturbing the Maxwellian distribution.Comment: arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap with arXiv:2305.0760

The physics and applications of strongly coupled plasmas levitated in electrodynamic traps

Charged (nano)particles confined in electrodynamic traps can evolve into strongly correlated Coulomb systems, which are the subject of current investigation. Exciting physical phenomena associated to Coulomb systems have been reported such as autowave generation, phase transitions, system self-locking at the ends of the linear Paul trap, self-organization in layers, or pattern formation and scaling. The dynamics of ordered structures consisting of highly nonideal similarly charged nanoparticles, with coupling parameter of the order Γ=108\Gamma = 10^8 is investigated. This approach enables us to study the interaction of nanoparticle structures in presence and in absence of the neutralizing plasma background, as well as to investigate various types of phenomena and physical forces these structures experience. Applications of electrodynamic levitation for mass spectrometry, including containment and study of single aerosols and nanoparticles are reviewed, with an emphasis on state of the art experiments and techniques, as well as future trends. Late experimental data suggest that inelastic scattering can be successfully applied to the detection of biological particles such as pollen, bacteria, aerosols, traces of explosives or synthetic polymers. Brownian dynamics is used to characterize charged particle evolution in time and thus identify regions of stable trapping. An analytical model is used to explain the experimental results. Numerical simulations take into account the stochastic forces of random collisions with neutral particles, the viscosity of the gas medium, the regular forces produced by the a.c. trapping voltage, and the gravitational force. We show that microparticle dynamics is characterized by a stochastic Langevin differential equation. Laser plasma acceleration of charged particles is also discussed
