    The population growth is still high, to decrease it the government applies KB (Keluarga Berencana). One of the contraceptions is parental contraception. The aim of this research was to know the drop out accident had been invertigated PUS (pasangan usia subur) on Baturaden district. The research was done by taking the sample in Baturaden district. 370 randomized samples that were acceptor of parenteral KB in Baturaden district.The data were gather by quisioner, and the result were descriptif non analytic analized.     The choice of ointment bases for topical dosage from are very influence on therapeutic effect. Ointment formulated which are content natural extract are still less. The reseach abaut the influence of ointment bases on physical property and primary irritation ginger ethanolic extract (Zingiber officinale Roxb). The aim of the reseach were to know the influence of ointment base on physical property and primary irritation effect. In this research maked hidrokarbon base, emulsion base and water soluble base. All formulation content ginger ethanolic extract (Zingiber officinale Roxb) of 3%. On ointment to the organoleptic test, homogeneity test, adhesive test and the area of spread test with description analysis, while primary irritation test be analyzed use statistic one way anova test. The result of the research be gotten show that third ointment bases have different influence to skin irritation .     Identifikasi Drug Related Problems (Drps) Pengobatan Tuberkulosis Pada Pasien Rawat Jalan Di RSUD Kardinah Kota Tegal Tahun 2009

    Tuberculosis is a global health problem that needs to be overcome well and appropriately. The tuberculosis treatment needs more drugs of therapy so it causes Drug Related Problems (DRPs). The aim of this research was to explore the DRPs in the tuberculosis treatment covers wrong drug, over dosage, sub therapy dosage and drug interaction. This research was retrospectively and applicated to 170 patients of out patients in RSUD Kardinah Tegal during January-December 2009. Appropriate descriptive analysis was used. The results showed that unnecessary drug interaction 98,24%, the other DRPs were wrong drug (52,94%), sub therapy dosage (29,41%) and over dosage (1,76%). According to the results of this research can be concluded that there are many mistakes which will cause problem in tuberculosis treatment.     Pengaruh Penambahan Avicel Ph 101 Terhadap Sifat Fisis Tablet Ekstrak Bawang Putih (Allium Sativum. L) Secara Granulasi Basah

    Garlic tuber is proved decreasing blood pressure. The research on formulation of garlic extract tablet using Avicel PH 101 as disintegrant and the tablets physical characteristic has been conducted. Garlic extract is prepared by maceration with ethanol 96% as solvent. Tablet of garlic extract is made by wet granulation method with weight of tablet 600 mg each. Tablet of garlic extract is made in three formulas with varied Avicel PH 101 as disintegrant, they are Formula 1 (7.5%), Formula II (10%), and Formula III (12.5%). The obtained granule is tested the flow rate whereas tablets are examined the physical characteristic (weight uniformity, hardness, brittleness, and disintegration time). The results shows that Avicel PH 101 can be used as disintegrant of garlic extract tablet with concentration 7.5 – 12.5%. The higher Avicel PH 101 concentration will decrease granule flow rate and tablet hardness, increase brittleness and fasten disintegration time.     Aktivitas Antijamur Krim Minyak Atsiri Rimpang Lengkuas (Alpinia Galanga L.) Terhadap Candida Albicans

    Alpinia galanga L. essential oil is active as antifungal agent. This reseach was aimed to find out Antifungal Activity of Alpinia Galanga Essential Oil Cream Against Candida albicans. Alpinia galanga essential oil was obtained by steam and water destillation method. There are five groups used in this research, there were Formula I (ketokonazol cream) as positive contol, Formula II (cream without addition of essential oil), Formula III ( cream with addition of essential oil 2 g), Formula IV (cream with addition of essential oil 2.75g), Formula V (cream with addition of essential oil 3.50 g). The cream were tested for physical properties (organoleptic, homogeneity, adhesiveness, spreading) and antifungal activity on Candida albicans. Data was analyzed by one way anava and continued by LSD (Least Significant Different) test of post hoc test. Research result indicated that a higher essential oil concentration will increase cream spreading. Antifungal activity of alpinia galanga essential oil cream increase along with increasing of essential oil concentration. Keyword : Alpinia galanga essential oil, cream, Candida albicans

    Pengaruh Kombinasi Avicel Ph 101 Dan Amilum Manihot Sebagai Bahan Penghancur Terhadap Sifat Fisis Tablet Parasetamol

    The aims of this study was to find out the influence of Avicel PH 101, tapioca starch and the combinationboth of Avicel PH 101 and tapioca starch as a disintegrant to physical properties of acetaminophen tablets. Three formula were prepared containingof different disintegrant in each formula, and tablets were made by wet granulation method.Formula I with disintegrant Avicel PH 101 100%. Formula II with disintegrant amilum starch 100%, and formula III with combination Avicel PH 101 50% and tapioca starch 50%. Flow rates of the granule were tested and physical propertiesof tablets includes of weight uniformity, hardness, friability, and disintegrationtime were tested. Formula I containing Avicel PH 101 as a disintegrant produced hardest tablets (6.28 kg), smallest friability (0.6279 %), and fastest disintegration time (3.03 minutes). Tablets formula II containing tapioca strach as a disintegrant produced softest tablets (5.66 kg), highest friability (0.8513 %), and slowest disintegration time (6.06 minutes).While formula III containing Avicel PH 101 and tapioca strach as disintegrant produced harder tablets (6.08 kg), smaller friability (0.6985%), and faster disintegration time (3.89 minutes) than formula II.
