On the non-relativistic limit of the quantum sine-Gordon model with integrable boundary condition

    Get PDF
We show that the the generalized Calogero-Moser model with boundary potential of the P\"oschl-Teller type describes the non-relativistic limit of the quantum sine-Gordon model on a half-line with Dirichlet boundary condition.Comment: 6 pages, CALT-68-1949, USC-94-01

d-metal folates and the folic acid-imidazole conjugate

    Get PDF
Metal folates MFol • nH2O (M2+ = Mn2+, Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+; n = 4–6), silver folate Ag2Fol • 3H2O, and the folic acid–imidazole conjugate H2Fol • 3Im • 2H2O were synthesized in aqueous solutions at a 1 : 1 M2+ : H2Fol molar ratio and pH 5.5–6.6. The compositions of the resulting compounds were determined by chemical, thermal, and gravimetric analysis. The composition of copper(II) folate was confirmed by elemental analysis; the solubility product of nickel folate (9.65 × 10–9) was estimated using solubility data. IR and electron absorption spectroscopy was used to show that oxygen atoms of carboxyl groups in folic acid and the pyridine nitrogen atom in imidazole are involved in bond formation in folates and the conjugate

First order quantum corrections to the classical reflection factor of the sinh-Gordon model

    Get PDF
The sinh-Gordon model is restricted to a half-line by boundary conditions maintaining integrability. A perturbative calculation of the reflection factor is given to one loop order in the bulk coupling and to first order in the difference of the two parameters introduced at the boundary, providing a further verification of Ghoshal's formula. The calculation is consistent with a conjecture for the general dependence of the reflection factor on the boundary parameters and the bulk coupling.Comment: 16 pages, 1 figur

Health care as a measure of social support for students (for example RSAVEI "Belgorod pedagogical college")

The article presents the experience of preservation and maintenance of health of students of educational organization. Today, statistics indicates trends of increased morbidity, decline in the number of absolute healthy children in all age and gender groups, which is confirmed by official data. The preservation and strengthening of health of students is one of the priorities of educational policyВ статье представлен опыт сохранения и поддержания здоровья обучающихся образовательной организации.

Solution of the Thirring Model with Imaginary Mass and Massless Scattering

The Thirring model with imaginary mass (or the sine-Gordon model with imaginary coupling) is deeply related to all the flows between minimal conformal theories. We solve this model explicitely using the Bethe ansatz. We find that there are Left and Right moving massless excitations with non trivial LR scattering. We compute the S matrix and recover the result conjectured by Fendley et al.Comment: 14 pages, 2 figures, uses harvmac macros. Preprint USC-94-00

Schroedinger operators with the q-ladder symmetry algebras

    Get PDF
A class of the one-dimensional Schroedinger operators L with the symmetry algebra LB(+/-) = q(+/-2)B(+/-)L, (B(+),B(-)) = P(sub N)(L), is described. Here B(+/-) are the 'q-ladder' operators and P(sub N)(L) is a polynomial of the order N. Peculiarities of the coherent states of this algebra are briefly discussed
