Momentum Concept Learning using Tracker as a Virtual Experiment Model: Looking at Students’ Learning Independence

Visualization of physical phenomena through modeling and virtual experiment help students to understand the physics concepts. The concept of momentum is quite challenging to explain without the help of virtual experiments. This study aimed to analyze students' independent learning after conducting the learning process on the concept of momentum using Tracker software as a virtual experimental model. This study was quasi-experimentalwith the purposive sampling technique to determine the control class and the experimentalclass. There were 42 students involved in this research. The control class was treated by actual experiments on learning, while the experimental class used the Tracker software as a virtual experiment model. The instrument used was questionnaires given at the end of learningto measurestudents’ learning independence. The data were analyzed by using the descriptive statistics method. Learning independence in the control class obtained 51.31% in the medium category, and the experimental class obtained 60.95% in the medium category. Although the average achievement was not significantly different, the aspects of responsibility, motivation, and self-evaluation of the experimental classwere better than that of the control class.

How Are Research Trends on Reading Activity in Science Learning? Tracking from 2000 to 2019 on Selected Journal

The number of studies and researchers in the science education field is constantly increasing from year to year. It makes research about article review very important because it helps researchers determine the research orientation. In this study, a research review was conducted on reading activities in science learning. There have been several studies on tracking research trends in science education in recent years, but there has not been any detailed discussion about reading activities in science learning. Therefore, it is necessary to know the development trends of research on reading activities in science learning. In this study, we analyze 74 articles published from 2000-2019 using the open-coding system. By using a search engine, it is done by entering one keyword or a combination of several keywords, include reading, a variety of ”reading and text," ”reading and science text," ”reading and textbook," ”reading, text, and science." The results showed that there were still many empty things that the researchers had not studied. The United States dominates the average researcher with a primary focus on reading comprehension. In terms of participants, research is dominated by involving students in schools (although the numbers are still small), with the variables studied are dominated by reading comprehension. This research can help researchers find gaps in research that have not been carried out related to reading activities in science learning

PENDEKATAN SOCIAL DILEMMA PADA KAJIAN EKONOMI, MANAJEMEN, DAN BISNIS

ABSTRACTMost of the research is done to get interaction solutions that are social dilemma. At first the social dilemma was a study of the field of psychology, but now has been growing in other fields such as economics, management, business, accounting, social, computer and decision-making techniques, even ecological and evolutionary biology. The focus of the study on economics, management, and business is how to increase the desire of economic agents, management decision makers, and business people to choose cooperative strategies. The results of the literature review show openness and communication is a solution that empirically managed to improve cooperation. Keywords: social dilemma, cooperation, communicatio

Tingkat Kerjasama Pada N-Persons Prisoner’s Dilemma Game: Sebuah Eksperimen Ekonomi

N-Persons Prisoner’s Dilemma Games (NPDG) is a form of Prisoner’s Dilemma Games (PDG) involving more than 2 players. Economic classroom experiments using NPDG relatively have not been done, especially in Indonesia. This experiment was conducted to determine the effect of changes in payoff structure on the cooperation rates in NPDG. ANOVA shows insufficient evidence to state that the changes in payoff affect the rates of cooperation payoff. Non-monetary rewards on experimental execution and the unexpected reasons of participants to make choices allegedly explain why the results of hypothesis testing are not significant. Keywords: experimental economics, n-person prisoner’s dilemma, changes in payoff structure, rate of cooperatio

Soil nutrient availability maps are needed to be used as a basis for managing fertilizer use, as well as soil acidity (pH) values. If the nutrient status of N, P, K and soil acidity is known, it is expected that the dosage of fertilization of each land can be done in accordance with thenutrient status. It can also reduce the cost of fertilization. This study aims to determine the factors of land affecting the distribution of nutrients N P K and soil pH. The research was conducted in Gugut Village, Rambipuji District, Jember from June to August 2016. The research was conducted by using free grid survey method with semi-detailed survey rate of 1: 25.000 scale. The distribution pattern of each nutrient status was analyzed by matrix method approach to find out the factors that most influence the distribution of nutrients N, P, K and pH.  From the result of research, map of nutrient distribution of N, P, K is almost similar to the result of geological map overlay, landform, land use and altitude. According to Wilding and Drees (1983), the diversity of nutrient status can be due to differences in lithology / parent material, climate, erosion, biological influences, and hydrology. The N, P, K soil availability map only meets 32.76% of the elevation map section. Therefore, the temporal nutrient status mapping can not be generated based on existing land map units so it is advisable to use the rigid grid method. While soil pH maps are almost similar to overlays between geological maps, landforms, land use and climate

Rasionalitas Agen Ekonomi: Eksperimen Ekonomi Menggunakan Beauty Contest Games

Microeconomic theory assumes economic agents are rational when making decisions. In many ways numerical capabilities indicate a measure of the rationality of economic agents. Beauty contest games are one of the games commonly used in an experiment to show the failure of economic agents to make decisions based on numerical rationality. This article is written based on the results of economic experiments in the learning class (classroom experiments) using the BCG model with the aim of knowing the rationality of economic agents in making decisions. The results of the study show that economic agents do not fully act on numerical rationality so they cannot succeed in maximizing utility or achieving Nash equilibrium.
