Placements of virtual network functions for effective network functions virtualization
In the future wireless networks, network function virtualization will lay the foun-
dation for establishing a new resource management framework to e ciently utilize
network resources. The rst part of this thesis deals in the minimization of the to-
tal latency for a network and how to solve it e ciently. A model of users, Virtual
Network Functions (vNFs) and hosting devices have been considered and was used
to nd the minimum latency using Integer Linear Programming (ILP). The problem
is NP-hard and takes exponential time to solve in the worst case. A Stable Matching
based heuristic has been proposed to solve the problem in polynomial time and then
the local search is utilized to improve the e ciency of the result.
The second part of this thesis proposes the problem of fair allocation of the vNFs to
hosting devices. A mathematical programming based model (ILP) has been designed
to solve the problem which takes exponential time to solve in the worst case, due
to its NP-hard nature. Thus an heuristic approach has been provided to solve the
problem in polynomial time
A rare case of caudal regression syndrome in a foetus of non-diabetic mother : a case report
Backgound: Caudal regression syndrome (CRS) is an uncommon disorder in which there is abnormal development of the caudal end of the foetal spine along with many associated anomalies. Manifestations of this syndrome can vary from the absence of a few terminal coccygeal segments to complete lumbosacral agenesis. Its overall incidence is 1 in 60000 live births. It is more commonly seen in infants of diabetic mothers, with a 200-fold increased risk as compared to the general population. Case Report: We present a case of CRS in a foetus of a non-diabetic mother and discuss the role of radiology in early diagnosis and timely management. We also correlate initial abnormalities of the nervous system found on imaging with postnatal clinical deficits. Conclusions: This case highlights the rarity caudal regression syndrome in a foetus of a non-diabetic mother. Early diagnosis of CRS is important for appropriate management
CYTOLOGICAL, HPV GENOME, AND HISTOPATHOLOGICAL CORRELATION OF CERVICAL SMEARS IN FEMALES 30 YEARS AND ABOVE
Objectives: The objectives of the study were to evaluate the patterns of cervical smear cytology in relation to human papillomavirus (HPV) and to correlate with histopathological diagnosis in females of 30 years and above.
Methods: The 2-year prospective study was done in the Department of Pathology in 100 patients who attended the Gynaecology OPD of Govt. Medical College, Patiala. The cervical brushings obtained were subjected to cytological examination by liquid-based cytology through SurePath method and for HPV evaluation by BD Onclarity HPV assay. The cytological findings were further correlated with histopathological examination.
Results: Majority of the females were in the age group of 30−45 years (62%). There was high incidence of dysplasia and malignancy in those who were of parity 3, 4, and above. The most common presenting symptom was discharge per vaginum (DPV) seen in 28% of cases. Maximum cases on cytology were diagnosed as NILM (including inflammatory pathology, 49%) followed by LSIL as 14% and malignant as 13%. Overall HPV genome was detected in 54% of the samples, the cases diagnosed as dysplasia and malignancy showed 68.42% and 100% presence of HPV, respectively. This was found to be statistically significant (p<0.05).
Conclusion: Pap smear along with HPV evaluation is an effective screening method for the detection of pre-invasive lesions and cancers of cervix that are potentially curable

it to a public registry (https://registry.centos.org) by simply doing a
git push to their git repo! It also does automatic rebuilds of container
images and scans them on weekly basis
