FIToplankton: Wireless Controlled Remotely-operated Underwater Vehicle (ROV) for Shallow Water Exploratio
Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) for underwater exploration is typically controlled using umbilical cable connected to ground control station. Unfortunately, while it’s used for power distribution and data transmission, it also obstruct the movement of ROV especially for shallow water (<50 cm). This paper proposed an alternative method for controlling ROV using wireless remote control system. This work also aims to explore the possibility of using RF wireless technology between 420-450 MHz as underwater communication system. Furthermore, the control system was used to manage actuators i.e. DC motor and bilge pump for maneuvring and picking small size cargo. To help the ROV to hold on a desired, Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) is installed on board ROV within maximum deviation 0.2 m/s2. The prototype of the system has been successfully implemented and evaluated to confirm the functionality and the feasibility of the proposed approach
Optimalisasi Minat Belajar dengan Metode Fun Learning pada Era New Normal di Desa Sengkerang, Kecamatan Praya Timur
Fun learning merupakan strategi dalam mengajar dimana suasana dalam mengajar dikondisikan nyaman sehingga siswa dapat berkonsentrasi penuh pada proses pembelajaran. Fun learning dipilih sebagai metode belajar karena selama masa pandemi Covid-19 ini minat belajar anak-anak cendrung menurun sehingga diperlukan upaya untuk mengoptimalisasi minat belajar anak. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk memperkenalkan strategi belaja Fun Learning pada anak-anak TK dan SD/MI di Desa Sengkerang, Kecamatan Praya Timur, Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, untuk membantu mengatasi kesulitan belajar selama era pandemi Covid-19. Hal ini terkait dengan tema Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) saat ini yaitu Mengajar di Desa, untuk membantu anak-anak dalam hal belajar, dalam bentuk kegiatan bimbingan belajar. Kegiatan bimbingan belajar dapat membantu memotivasi semangat belajar anak-anak selama masa pandemi dimana berbagai kegiatan belajar –mengajar memiliki banyak keterbatasan.. Beberapa pelajaran yang diberikan adalah Bahasa Inggris, IPA, Matematika, dan Agama. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat membentuk anak menjadi pribadi yang semakin termotivasi untuk belajar sehingga dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan wawasan anak-anak
A STUDY ON PRIVATE SECTOR'S PERCEPTIONS AND AWARENESS OF GREEN OPEN SPACE PROVISION PROGRAM IN BATAM MUNICIPALITY, INDONESIA
This research is an exploratory and analytical study of the private sector�s
perceptions and awareness of the Green Open Space (GOS) Provision Program in
Batam Municipality Indonesia. The GOS Provision Program has been carried out
by Batam Municipality with the involvement of the private sector.
This research employed survey method. A questionnaire survey was
conducted to eleven (11) industrial area managements and their tenants in Batam
Municipality, and some government officers of Batam Municipality were
interviewed. The questionnaires consisted of 43 questions grouped into five main
variables: company attributes, company perception of the GOS benefit, company
awareness, response to regulation and response to reward for participating. The
questionnaire data were analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative descriptive
methods.
Research results revealed that the majority of the participating companies had
a high perception of the GOS benefit. There was no significantly different
perception about the GOS benefits between small and large companies or among
three kinds of industry (developer, manufacturer and service). Large companies
have a greater awareness than medium companies. Among the three kinds of
industries, developer companies were the most aware, and service companies were
the least aware. Unfortunately, both medium and large companies had a low
response toward regulation. The developer�s responses toward regulation about the
GOS provision were moderate, while the responses of the manufacturer and the
services companies were low. On the other hand, all companies had a similar
response toward the reward at a high value. As a result, private sector involvement
in the GOS provision program can proceed by increasing private sector�s perception
and awareness through GOS program dissemination and environmental education.
Increasing the reward can be a better strategy to increasing the private sector
participation in the GOS provision program in Batam Municipality
A Comparative Study Of Enhanced Nonlinear PI To Multivariable Nonlinear Plant
The static gains of PI controller have limitation to handle the process nonlinearities of the system.This suggests the development of enhanced nonlinear PI controller where a nonlinear gain function is cascaded to PI parameters.Two nonlinear gain functions are developed and the effectiveness of the control performance is investigated for two different control structures for a multivariable nonlinear wastewater treatment plant (WWTP).It was proved that superior output with the lower mean error was obtained by developed nonlinear PI specifically in the multivariable control structure.The
developed nonlinear PI offers simpler control structure and easy implementation hence offering alternative control strategy for the multivariable system
Real-Time Appliances Recognition for Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring Using Convolutional Neural Networks
Up to now, the details of the load-level power consumption are generally not available to the customers who wish to get more information about their power usage. This paper shows the result of using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) to recognize the type of any electrical appliance while operating as well as its power consumption. This approach allows the monitoring on a loads power consumption on every electrical appliance individually. By applying an envelope function to the signal, the appliance can be recognized successfully even it only consumes a small amount of energy during its operation. The performance was evaluated on three electrical appliances at different power consumption level
