Image Processing of Two Identical and Similar Photos
This paper aims to find the differences between two perfect identical and similar photos using image processing principles, the method depends on constructing the histogram of the two images and using what is called image registration, and also using Matlab image processing system with suitable code the system can easily discover the main difference points between the two images. This technique helps in medical applications: in surgery and bones x-ray images. Keywords: image-processing, photos, Matlab, histogram, medical applications
Crypto-Semantic Method of Text Data Protection
A method of text data protection called crypto-semantic is proposed. In order to implement the method within the formally defined restrictions of the selected sphere of applied uses, it is necessary to develop a corresponding lexicographical system in the form of an applied linguistic corpus and semantically structure the information using the constructed linguistic corpus so that the encrypted text message samples present semantically plausible text fragments. Under certain conditions the method provides absolute guarantee of text data protection from confidentiality compromise.
Distributed Set-Based Observers Using Diffusion Strategy
Distributed estimation is more robust against single points of failure and
requires less communication overhead compared to the centralized version. Among
distributed estimation techniques, set-based estimation has gained much
attention as it provides estimation guarantees for safety-critical applications
and copes with unknown but bounded uncertainties. We propose two distributed
set-based observers using interval-based and set-membership approaches for a
linear discrete-time dynamical system with bounded modeling and measurement
uncertainties. Both algorithms utilize a new over-approximating zonotopes
intersection step named the set-based diffusion step. We use the term diffusion
since our intersection of zonotopes formula resembles the traditional diffusion
step in the stochastic Kalman filter. Our new zonotopes intersection takes
linear time. Our set-based diffusion step decreases the estimation errors and
the size of estimated sets and can be seen as a lightweight approach to achieve
partial consensus between the distributed estimated sets. Every node shares its
measurement with its neighbor in the measurement update step. The neighbors
intersect their estimated sets constituting our proposed set-based diffusion
step. We represent sets as zonotopes since they compactly represent
high-dimensional sets, and they are closed under linear mapping and Minkowski
addition. The applicability of our algorithms is demonstrated by a localization
example. All used data and code to recreate our findings are publicly availabl
Performance of Retrieval Information System For Medical Images
Problem statement : In this article the principles of building knowledge and retrieval information system will be applied to medical images in some studied hospital. Since there is a huge number of medical images this system will organizes and manages the operation of retrieving and displaying such images to the persons who need such images in short time and in high quality services. Approach : From relevance assessments we can compute measures of retrieval performance such as: Recall (R), discrimination DC, and Precision. Results: both recall and precision of the system are linearly depend on relevant items correctly retrieved. Conclusion : Number of retrieved images from huge total number of medical images in some hospital determine the systems' recall, discrimination, and precision of the retrieval information system
1-(3-Ethylphenyl)-4,6-dimethyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-3-carbonitrile
In the title compound, C16H16N2O, the essentially planar 1,2-dihydropyridine ring [maximum deviation = 0.021 (1) Å] makes a dihedral angle of 85.33 (8)° with the benzene ring. In the crystal, molecules are linked into a chain along the b axis via C—H⋯O interactions
(E)-3-Dimethylamino-1-(2,5-dimethylthiophen-3-yl)prop-2-en-1-one
In the title compound, C11H15NOS, the 3-(dimethylamino)prop-2-en-1-one unit is approximately planar [maximum deviation = 0.0975 (14) Å] and its mean plane of seven non-H atoms makes a dihedral angle of 6.96 (10)° with the thiophene ring. In the crystal, molecules are linked by pairs of C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds into inversion dimers with R

2(14) ring motifs. The dimers are stacked along the c axis through C—H⋯π interactions. The two methyl groups, attached to the thiophene ring and the amino N atom, are each disordered over two orientations, with site-occupancy ratios of 0.59 (4):0.41 (4) and 0.74 (4):0.26 (4), respectively
Analgesic Effect of Intra-Articular Dexamethasone versus Fentanyl added as an adjuvant to Bupivacaine for Postoperative Pain Relief in Knee Arthroscopic Surgery
Background: Knee arthroscopy is usually associated with a variable degree of pain ranging from moderate-to-severe pain in about 70% of patients.
Objective: This trial was designed to assess the efficacy of intra-articular administration of dexamethasone versus fentanyl as adjuncts to bupivacaine in patients undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.
Patients and methods: Eighty-nine patients of either sex were enrolled in this study. The patients were randomly divided into three equal groups. Group F that received intra-articular (IA) injection of 1 μg/kg fentanyl (In 2 ml saline) added to 18 ml of 0.25% bupivacaine, group D, which received IA injection of 8 mg (2 ml) dexamethasone added to 18mL of 0.25% bupivacaine and group S that received IA injection of 2 ml normal saline added to 18 mL of 0.25% bupivacaine.
Results: The time required for the first request of analgesia in group F, group D, and group S was 5.7 ± 0.7 vs 4.5 ± 0.5 vs 3.3 ± 0.5 hours respectively. There were significant differences between both treatment groups and the control group (p < 0.001) and in between both treatment groups (p < 0.001) in favor of group F. There was a significantly lower median visual analogue score in group F when compared to group D and S at 6 hours (p = 0.006 & 0.01, respectively), 12 hours (p < 0.001 & < 0.001, respectively), and 18 hours (p = 0.003 & 0.007, respectively) postoperatively.
Conclusion: The addition of fentanyl or dexamethasone to IA bupivacaine in knee arthroscopic surgery provided a better quality of analgesia with less consumption of systemic analgesics without significant adverse effects
(E)-4-Amino-N-(1,2-dihydropyridin-2-ylidene)benzenesulfonamide nitromethane monosolvate
In the title solvate, C11H11N3O2S·CH3NO2, the dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the N-containing ring is 85.94 (11)°, and an approximate V shape arises for the sulfonamide molecule. In the crystal, N—H⋯O and N—H⋯N hydrogen bonds and weak C—H⋯O interactions link the sulfonamide molecules into a three-dimensional network. The nitromethane solvent molecules are located in the interstitial sites in the sulfonamide network
