The objectives of this research are to develop, examine and validate a model of infusing Islamic manners (adab) in the secular classroom (iMIS). A proposed model consists of endogenous variables (teacher attributes and perceived support) and exogenous variables (teachersโ€™ performance in iMIS). A survey instrument was administered to 561 both Malay and non- Malay speaking Muslim teachers at public primary schools in 6 provinces of Southern Thailand. The structural equation modeling (SEM) is used to validate and test the model fit to the empirical data. The results show that the four proposed teacher attributes (self-efficacy, values, Islamic work ethic, and organizational commitment) and two factors of teachersโ€™ perceived support (peer and curriculum support) directly influence to their performance in iMIS

A proposed model consists of endogenous variables (teacher attributes and perceived support) and exogenous variables (teachersโ€Ÿ performance in iMIS). A survey instrument was administratered to 371 Malay-Muslim teachers at public primary schools in Narathiwat, Yala and Pattani Provinces,Thailand. The structural equation modeling (SEM) is used to validate and test the model fit to the empirical data. The results show that the only three proposed teacher attributes (self-efficacy, values and organizational commitment) and two factors of teachersโ€Ÿ perceived support (peer and curriculum support) directly influence to their performance in iMIS. This study examines factors influencing undergraduate students who are all Muslims from one of the public universities in Malaysia. Data were obtained from a survey conducted among the undergraduate students (n=255). Principle Components Analysis (PCA) revealed four latent factors: the electronic and printed media, knowledge of circumcision, the Islamic values on sexuality and their prior knowledge of sexual act. Based on the views of the respondents on the roles played by curriculum, religion and media in disseminating knowledge on sex-related matters, recommendations are drawn to assist the relevant parties in coming up with comprehensive sexuality education for Muslim adolescents
