In this communication we utilize an improved version for model proposed by Manning for the waste flow via an open channel Lyari. We have computed the status of discharges, storages and depth for all locations of the Lyari waste flow using this proposed model. We have found that the result obtained using this model is good agreement for the recent data sets.Open Channel, Proposed Model, Flow, Storage, Depth, Comparison

Team work in competitive environment has attained greater Importance for organizations to enhance their performance. This paper is described the team conflict management with its antecedence like trust, task interdependence and managerial coping skill, whereas dependent variables i.e. team conflict management styles, employees satisfaction and organizational performance has been chosen as outcomes. To evaluate the deduction of other studies have been made part of this paper. This paper is conceptual in nature henceforth, relations between independently and dependent variables have been described. Studies proved that there is a strong relation between team conflict management with employee’s satisfaction and organizational Performance. It is recommended that to Executives, Managers Trust and Task interdependence between the team members have positive impact on TCMS (Team conflict management styles). Present paper provides the solution to handle the conflicts within the team and with the team. Future research is directed for its empirical testing of TCMS model†should be replaced with sound implication

Recruitment Methods Used by Software Industry in Pakistan: Issues and Concerns

    Get PDF
The research aims to examine the relationship between the organization size and the recruitment methods used. It also examines the differences in recruitment methods for filling the managerial and non managerial positions and exploring possible reasons for switching between these methods among IT organizations. We found that there is a significant relationship between the organization size and the frequency of recruitment. The smaller organizations tend to recruit more frequently as compared to larger organizations. The results also show that there is significant positive relationship between the size of organization and the choice of methods for recruitment of professionals. Most software houses find it difficult to recruit individuals with adequate professional training, skills and experience. Most professionals in the industry are fresh graduates with a sound theoretical base but with inadequate practical experience and skills. Software houses can help in developing these fresh graduates in more mature professionals by offering extensive internship programs

The paper in your hand basically addresses the issue of organizational citizenship behavior in a particular context of Pakistani universities teachers. As education is most neglected area in Pakistan, we want to give better understanding of the concept of OCB. This paper will provide guidelines to researchers, teachers, education sector, and other education related institutions to form such policies which can help to increase the higher education standard. Our sample size is 274 university teachers from both public and private sector, including male and female, age ranges from 25 to 60 and teaching experience ranges from less than one year to 10 years. We have taken different HR practices implemented in universities and we studied their impact on the organizational citizenship behavior with mediating effect of organizational commitment it is found significantly positive from. So, we have concluded that by practicing all these independent variables in an effective and efficient way we can increase organizational commitment and it ultimately positively affect the employee positive and cooperative kind of behaviors i-e OC

Factors contributing to microfinance addiction among Pakistani microfinance participants

    Get PDF
This research is conducted in Bahawalpur, southern Punjab to discover the effect of Microfinance Addiction on Poverty Eradication. One thousand people, half men and half women, both members and non-members of Micro Credit Banks, will make up the sample. The goals of the study are captured in both an online survey and a traditional questionnaire developed with the help of experts. This method is effective in ensuring that all strata of the population are represented equally. Data is collected through cluster sampling. Micro-credit finance has assumed a significant part in changing and further developing the respondents' financial conditions. Data is tested through SPSS and Smart PLS and built up the connection between variables. All parties involved in the microfinance industry can benefit from the study's findings by making more informed decisions. The MFIs providing microfinance for the needy will also benefit from this since it will increase their productivity. The research suggests that the goal of microfinance may be reached more effectively if attention is directed on many sectors, such as agriculture and rural communities. Because of this, we may conclude that both Poverty Eradication and Micro-Finance Addiction are positively related to one another. The research found that the majority of people benefited from MFIs' micro-credit lending programmes. These micro loans helped them increase their economic standing and decrease their vulnerability to poverty. Micro-credit programmes may be improved upon in light of the study's results, which should be of benefit to regulators, policymakers, managers, micro-finance institutions, government authorities, all other stakeholders, and future academics

A design of turnover intention antecedents and their relation on work design for firms

Most of the time Employees turnover intentions has been examined with the level of Human Resource Practices (HRP) in previous studies. Present study added social and Job characteristic study of 214 employees and managers from a fast food – outlet of Pakistan retail food service. Employee’s turnover intention was significantly associated at firm level and individual level factors and demonstrates the upgrading of food quality and service in the chain. The regression analysis was used to measure the relationship and significance among the observed constructs using SPSS 26. Job characteristics explains within-store variance. The hypothesis statement of the study projected that turnover intention has significantly affected due to individual level and firm level constructs setting in this situation. Outlet variance is described in adding to compensation, transformational leadership among employees in perspective of age and tenure similarity in the firm employees. Further research, limitation are managerial implication and theoretical framework can be discussed in detail

EMPIRICAL INVESTIGATION OF PRIVATIZATION PROCESS IN PAKISTAN: EVIDENCE FROM STATISTICAL EXPERIENCE

Why privatization processes fall short to deliver expected result in Pakistan. To answer this question, current study aims is to examine the privatization process in the Pakistan. The privatization process is dividing into four sections, privatization policy, buyer selection in the privatization process, assets evaluation and the factors affecting the development after privatization. The main objective of the study is to see the influence of development after privatization on the relationship between privatization policy, buyer selection in the privatization process, assets Evaluation and Privatization process improvement. Detailed survey based on the structured questionnaire is enquired through random sampling technique. Structured Equation Model (SEM) has been used for making an analysis. The finding of the study concludes that development process privatization mediates the between privatization policy, buyer selection in the privatization process, assets Evaluation and Privatization process improvement.  The findings of the study advocate that the privatization policy, buyer selection process, assets evaluation methods must be in line with the objective of government and line ministry. This effort may help for getting the optimum level of result from privatization process

Red shifting of absorption maxima of phenothiazine based dyes by incorporating electron-deficient thiadiazole derivatives as π-spacer

    Get PDF
AbstractThis study was carried out to design phenothiazine based dyes by incorporating electron-deficient thiadiazole derivatives as π-spacer. Density functional theory and time-dependent density functional theory calculations of the geometries, electronic structures and absorption spectra of the dyes before and after binding to titanium oxide were carried out. Effects of the electron-deficient units on the spectra and electrochemical properties have been investigated. Compared with the reference compound CS1A, Dyes 1–4 display remarkably enhanced spectral responses in the red portion of the solar spectrum. The newly designed dyes demonstrate desirable energetic and spectroscopic parameters, and may lead to efficient metal-free organic dye sensitizers for DSSCs
