أثر أزمة منطقة اليورو على الإيرادات النفطية للجزائر للفترة 2005 - 2012
Like most developing underdeveloped countries Algerian exports is characterized by unilateralism that nature granted a comparative advantage in the production of hydrocarbons, that accounted for 98% of the export structure. In light of the survival nature of the rentier economy and structure of exports in the short and medium term as it is, with no clear strategies for action to change this structure, the Algerian economy and its growth, and economic policies made known remain closely linked to fluctuations in oil prices and global demand. This study highlights the periods of crisis as an exceptional situation affects tion centers financially and economically, causing cases of economic recession, which may live up to a ceiling of recession, affecting the most national macroeconomic variables, and moving from local dye to a regional and global scale through economic infection channels, perhaps the most important is the business deals channel, which considered exports including one of the most important vulnerability and impact entrances. Accordingly, we follow in this study the impact of The euro zone crisis on the Algerian oil revenues, and through the econometric model formulated
Ways to build an advanced Algerian economy by choosing the quality of sectors and investments that support economic growth: the UAE experience as a model
The UAE was among the fastest growing regions in the world economy, and it is interesting to note that this improvement in growth performance has been widespread in various economic sectors. But the Algerian GDP growth has been driven by natural resource exports. Consequently, if Algeria wants to achieve high and sustained economic growth, it have to go through the process of structural transformation. Algeria needs to rethink its growth strategies, as has happened in the UAE. Our study examines UAE strategies trend to better understand the service sectors affecting building a strong Algerian economy

Structural Damage Detection by Using Finite Element Method as Function of Length
The work described in this paper involves the effect of length and fibre orientation of the composite damping for comparison with the analytical results. The calculation of laminate damping is performed by use of a strain energy method. The modal analysis of the structure for different loading rates is based on the analytical method used to solve the equation of free vibrations. The difference between strain energies for both cases (damaged and undamaged) are calculated by the finite element method. The structural damping of the different beams is evaluated from these energies. The decrease in frequency for different rates of loading shows the loss of stiffness for all lengths studied
Integration of Obese Children in Physical Education Sessions: An Exploratory Study
We investigated the effect of the role of the joker in children with obesity (OCs) on integration and physio-psychological responses during small-sided games (SSG) training programs. Sixteen OC students (age 13.8 ± 0.73 years) performed training programs consisting of two sessions a week for three weeks. The experimental protocol consisted of 16 teams of 4 children (3 of normal weight and 1 OC). The 16 teams were divided into 2 groups, one with an OC playing as the joker (SSG-J) and the other group with OC playing as non-joker (SSG-NJ). Maximum heart rates (HRmax), blood lactate concentration [La] and OMNI-Child perceived exertion were measured at the end of each SSG. A physical activity enjoyment Scale (PACES) was accomplished during physical activity for the evaluation of feelings in OCs. Additionally, the profile of mood states (POMS) was measured before
and after the SSG-J and SSG-NJ programs. HRmax, [La], perceived exertion, and PACES scores were significantly higher after the SSG-J compared with SSG-NJ (increments of 6.4%, 31.7%, 19.5% and 18.1%, respectively). The score of the POMS variables was positively increased in the presence of
jokers. The vigor score increased by 30%, while tension and total mood disturbance scores decreased by 27.6% and 4.5%, respectively. These findings suggest that the joker role could be effective in improving integration, physical enjoyment, physiological responses and mood states in OCs when a
team game is used during PE sessions. PE teachers could then program joker exercises with the aim of improving OCs’ physical commitment illingness to play
The Efficiency of Polynomial Regression Algorithms and Pearson Correlation (r) in Visualizing and Forecasting Weather Change Scenarios
In this chapter, we will discuss the application of Python using the polynomial regression approach for weather forecasting. We will also evoke the role of Pearson correlation in modifying the trend of climate forecast. The weather data were processed via Aqua Crop by introducing daily climate observations. Accordingly, the software outputs are: reference evapotranspiration, maximum and minimum temperature, and precipitation. Additionally, we focused on the interference of the input data on the efficiency of predicting climate change scenarios. For that matter, we used this machine learning algorithm for two case studies, depending on the type of input data. As a result, we found that the outcome of polynomial regression was very sensitive to those input factors
Do CRP levels predict severity in COVID-19 hospitalized Egyptian patients?
Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a rapidly spreading virus with a wide range of clinical manifestations. To manage treatment programs and promptly assess patient severity, prognostic factors must be identified early. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate if there was a link between the severity of COVID-19 and the C-reactive protein (CRP) level on admission. Methods: On admission clinical and laboratory data from 323 patients with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 were gathered from an Isolation Hospital records from April 10, 2020 to July 30, 2020. CRP was determined in all participants using an automated analyzer and a commercially available latex-enhanced immuno-turbidimetric assay. Results: The most prevalent presenting symptom was fever (39.3%), followed by cough (38.4%). Coronavirus disease 2019 severity and ICU admission were both predicted by high CRP levels (p < /em><0.001). C-reactive protein levels were also greater in those who had more chest discomfort, as indicated by CT chest abnormalities (p < /em><0.001). Conclusion: Serum CRP is a simple and effective prognosticator for early prediction of COVID-19 severity

Enhanced actuation and fabrication methods for integrated digital microfluidic systems
Introducing a practical digital microfluidic (DMF) platform has been always an important goal that can facilitate and broaden the use of DMF systems in various applications on a regular basis. In particular, a desired DMF platform may be the one which is fabricated easily and is also affordable, portable, battery powered, and user friendly. It should perform DMF operations reliably, accept mass-produced replaceable chips and can be readily integrated into a post processing station as well. Accordingly, the development of a practical DMF platform with these characteristics is the main target of this research. Specifically, the research has enhanced DMF systems through i) improved and novel actuation mechanisms, ii) cost-effective rapid prototyping techniques, and iii) full system integration. First, detailed experimental and numerical characterization of droplet morphology is performed to insinuate useful design and prototyping tips for enhanced DMF devices. Since droplet transport predominantly depends on the gap height, a major objective of the thesis is understanding the motion dynamics of a droplet at different gap heights. The characterization of the droplet behaviour in different regimes led to enhancing the actuation process in DMF systems. In addition, a variable gap size actuation (VGSA) mechanism is integrated into the DMF system to optimize DMF operations including droplet transport, splitting, dispensing and merging in real time. Consequently, the DMF operations can be performed reliably by adjusting the optimum operating conditions. Second, for rapid prototyping DMF chips, a new fabrication method is presented in which the electrodes are generated using screen printing. As a batch fabrication technique, the proposed screen printing approach is advantageous to the widely reported DMF electrode fabrication methods in terms of fabrication volume, time, and cost. In addition, a laser scribing technique is introduced as a low-cost, rapid and facile method for fabricating laser scribed graphene electrodes for DMF systems. Third, an ultraportable, low-cost, and modular DMF platform was successfully integrated with a smartphone that is used as a high-level controller. A colorimetric assay for pH value detection is introduced to demonstrate the performance of the device as a microscope and a post processing station.Applied Science, Faculty ofEngineering, School of (Okanagan)Graduat
Reputation Evaluation with Malicious Feedback Prevention Using a HITS-Based Model
International audienceThe reputation of web services is calculated by aggregating user feedback ratings. Though reputation is a subjective metric, it can be considered as a good indicator about services Quality of Experience, and henceforth, it can be used for recommending services in an open ecosystem. In this work, we propose a three-phase process for evaluating web service reputation by aggregating user feedback ratings. The relationship between users and services is modeled as a bi-partite graph where an adapted HITS (Hypertext Induced Topic Search) algorithm is employed to distinguish between honest and malicious users in Phase I. Then, this model is used to evaluate, in Phase III, the reputation of web services from user ratings after punishing malicious users in Phase II. An experiment on a dataset of real Web services was conducted to validate the effectiveness of the proposed model in evaluating Web service reputation
