A note on a value with incomplete communication
The Myerson's models on partial cooperation in cooperative games have been studied extensively by Borm, Owen, Tijs and Myerson. Hamiache proposes a new solution concept for the case in which the communication relations among players are modelled by means of an undirected graph. In this work, we analize this value making some vagueness clear, generalize this value to other models of partial cooperation emphasizing the differences in the generalization and we include some comparative calculations of this value with the Myerson value and the position value.Cooperative game, Myerson value, position value, consistency.
A Shapley measure of power in hierarchies
A method for measuring positional power in hierarchies is proposed. Inspired by models of cooperative TU-games with restricted cooperation, such as permission structures, we model hierarchies by means of a certain kind of set games, which we have called authorization operators. We then define and characterize a value for authorization operators that allows us to quantify the power of each agent. This power is decomposed into two terms: sovereignty and influence. Sovereignty describes the autonomy of an agent. Influence indicates their capacity to block the actions of others.Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad ECO2013-17766-
Fuzzy restrictions and an application to cooperative games with restricted cooperation
The concept of restriction, which is an extension of that of interior operator, was introduced to model limited cooperation in cooperative game theory. In this paper, a fuzzy version of restrictions is presented. We show that these new operators, called fuzzy restrictions, can be characterized by the transitivity of the fuzzy dependence relations that they induce. As an application, we introduce cooperative games with fuzzy restriction, which are used to model cooperative situations in which each player in a coalition has a level of cooperation within the coalition. A value for these games is defined and characterized
Nontransferable utility games with fuzzy coalition restrictions
A value for nontransferable utility (NTU) games with fuzzy coalition restrictions is introduced and characterized. In a similar way as the Shapley value for transferable utility (TU) games has been extended in the literature to study games with restricted cooperation, we extend the Shapley NTU value to deal with NTU games in situations in which there are fuzzy dependency relationships among the players.Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad ECO2010-17766-
A Shapley distance in graphs
A new distance in finite graphs is defined through a game-theoretic approach. This distance arises when solving the problem about the fair cost, for a node in a graph, of attaining access to another node. The distance indicates the level of difficulty in the communication between any pair of nodes, on the understanding that the fewer paths there are between two nodes and the more nodes there are that form those paths, the greater the distance is.Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación ECO2013-17766-
Análisis del aprovechamiento del programa Absys en Andalucía hasta marzo de 1999
The degree of implementation of the Absys library programme in the centres included in the corporate license held by the Andalusian regional government is analysed focussing on 4 aspects: library/centre resources, use of the 8 basic functions of Absys, reference manuals and technical support. Of the 109 questionnaires sent to the 8 Andalusian provinces, 104 were returned fully answered: 6 from Almeria, 5 from Cadiz, 16 from Cordoba, 18 from Granada, 19 from Huelva, 4 from Jaen, 15 from Malaga and 21 from Seville. The province where there are the highest number of installations of the programme is Seville, followed by Huelva, Granada, Málaga and Cordoba
Probabilistic values for bicooperative games
The present paper develops some general conditions under which we analize the bicooperative games introduced by Bilbao (2000). We define the probabilistic values for these games and observe in detail the axioms that characterize such values. Following the work of Weber (1988), these axioms are sequentially introduced observing how they have repercussions on the probabilistic value expression. Also, we introduce the compatible-order values and show the relationship between these values and the efficiency values such that their components are probabilistic values.Bicooperative games, Probabilistic values, Compatible-order values
The Shapley value for bicooperative games
The aim of the present paper is to study a one-point solution concept for bicooperative games. For these games introduced by Bilbao (2000), we define a one-point solution called the Shapley value, since this value can be interpreted in a similar way to the classical Shapley value for cooperative games. The main result of the paper is an axiomatic characterization of this value.Bicooperative games, Shapley value.
