Orientation Dependence of the Thermal Expansion Coefficients of Iron Borate FeBo3 Crystals
We present high-resolution X-ray diffraction measurements of the lattice parameters of iron borate FeBO3. These measurements were performed at room temperature and at various temperatures ranging from 400 up to 600∘C, enabling the determination of the coefficients of thermal expansion (CTE). The three-dimensional (3D) indicatory surface of thermal expansion of FeBO3was constructed in MathCad. It is shown that the orientation dependence of CTE in FeBO3 is spheroid elongated on threefold axis
INVESTIGATION OF THE THERMAL EXPANSION OF IRON BORATE NEAR THE NEEL POINT
The lattice parameters of FeBO3 were investigated by x-ray diffraction in the temperature range 18–300˚C. It is shown that the iron borate has the anomalous thermal expansion along its principal crystallographic axis «c» in the temperature region of the anti-ferromagnetic transition (the Neel point TN = 77˚C).Измерения выполнены в ЦКП «Урал-М» в ИМЕТ УрО РАН

We studied the morphology and texture of sulfide inclusions of the Chelyabinsk LL5, Northwest Africa 869 L3-6 and Gao-Guenie Н5 meteorites by X-ray diffraction, optical and electron microscopy. Iron borate films: Synthesis and characterization
We report the first successful synthesis of iron borate films. FeBO 3 films on GaBO 3 single crystal sub strates have been prepared by a liquid phase epitaxy route. In order to determine optimal crystallization regimes, a series of experiments has been carried out. Electron microscope studies have allowed mon itoring different phases of the film formation. The compositions of the film and of the substrate have been determined by energy dispersive spectroscopy. X ray diffraction analysis has allowed an accurate determination of a mismatch between the lattice parameters of the film and of the substrate. Electron magnetic resonance studies of the FeBO 3 film confirm the existence of magnetic ordering. The values of the effective Dzyaloshinskii field as well as the Néel temperature are in good accordance with those previously determined for FeBO 3 single crystal
STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF IRON SULFIDES IN METEORITE CAMPO DEL CIELO
The troilite was found in the sample of Campo del Cielo meteorite.
