Does the three site Higgsless model survive the electroweak precision tests at loop?
We complete the list of one loop renormalization group equations and matching
conditions relevant for the computation of the electroweak precision parameters
and in the three site Higgsless model. We obtain one-loop formulas for
and expressed in terms of physical observables such as the KK gauge
boson mass , the KK fermion mass , and the KK gauge boson ()
couplings with light quarks and leptons . It is shown that these
physical observables, , and are severely constrained by
the electroweak precision data. Unlike the tree level analysis on the ideally
delocalized fermion, we find that perfect fermiophobity of is ruled out by
the precision data. We also study the cutoff dependence of our analysis.
Although the model is non-renormalizable, the dependence on the cutoff
parameter is shown to be non-significant.Comment: 13pages, 5figures, minor corrections made, references adde
Z to b bbar and Chiral Currents in Higgsless Models
In this note we compute the flavor-dependent chiral-logarithmic corrections
to the decay Z to b bbar in the three site Higgsless model. We compute these
corrections diagrammatically in the "gaugeless" limit in which the electroweak
couplings vanish. We also compute the chiral-logarithmic corrections to the
decay Z to b bbar using an RGE analysis in effective field theory, and show
that the results agree. In the process of this computation, we compute the form
of the chiral current in the gaugeless limit of the three-site model, and
consider the generalization to the N-site case. We elucidate the Ward-Takahashi
identities which underlie the gaugeless limit calculation in the three-site
model, and describe how the result for the Z to b bbar amplitude is obtained in
unitary gauge in the full theory. We find that the phenomenological constraints
on the three-site Higgsless model arising from measurements of Z to b bbar are
relatively mild, requiring only that the heavy Dirac fermion be heavier than 1
TeV or so, and are satisfied automatically in the range of parameters allowed
by other precision electroweak data.Comment: 19 pages, 7 embedded eps figures (additional reference added
A Study of the Formation Process of the Teacher Becoming a School Leader
In this study, I clarify the process taken when the female teacher at an elementary school wants to be become a school leader. I clarify a formation process of three stages: The first is the nucleus period from the first teaching experience and may be marked by a great deal of trial and error. The second is the proficiency period that requires the supported growth of a young co-worker as a mentor. In the third, the teacher becomes a leader at the school and clarifies the process for others using examples from real life.論
学校を基盤とした授業研究の考察:小学校国語科における事例研究から
In this study, the research class is in-school training at an elementary school. The discussions in the lesson study, held immediately after the in-school training, are the research subject. The record of at eacher’s research class and the subsequent remarks of the lesson study were taken as basicdata. Based on this data, we clayified how teachers represent teaching in language basedon the relationship of a teacher’s storytelling concept at lesson study. The author, who participates as a lecturer at the lesson study, analysed the problem of a teacher’s class representation, clarified how the teacher managed the process at the lesson study, and how it was accepted by the teacher. Through these series of analysis, we elucidate the deepening process of a teacher’-s ability formation at a school - based lesson study.論
One-Loop Corrections to the S and T Parameters in a Three Site Higgsless Model
In this paper we compute the the one-loop chiral logarithmic corrections to
the S and T parameters in a highly deconstructed Higgsless model with only
three sites. In addition to the electroweak gauge bosons, this model contains a
single extra triplet of vector states (which we denote \rho^{\pm} and \rho^0),
rather than an infinite tower of "KK" modes. We compute the corrections to S
and T in 'tHooft-Feynman gauge, including the ghost, unphysical
Goldstone-boson, and appropriate "pinch" contributions required to obtain
gauge-invariant results for the one-loop self-energy functions. We demonstrate
that the chiral-logarithmic corrections naturally separate into two parts, a
model-independent part arising from scaling below the \rho mass, which has the
same form as the large Higgs-mass dependence of the S or T parameter in the
standard model, and a second model-dependent contribution arising from scaling
between the \rho mass and the cutoff of the model. The form of the universal
part of the one-loop result allows us to correctly interpret the
phenomenologically derived limits on the S and T parameters (which depend on a
"reference" Higgs-boson mass) in this three-site Higgsless model. Higgsless
models may be viewed as dual to models of dynamical symmetry breaking akin to
"walking technicolor", and in these terms our calculation is the first to
compute the subleading 1/N corrections to the S and T parameters. We also
discuss the reduction of the model to the ``two-site'' model, which is the
usual electroweak chiral lagrangian, noting the ``non-decoupling''
contributions present in the limit as M_\rho goes to infinity.Comment: 58 pages; uses JHEP and axodraw. Extensively corrected to incorporate
consistent perturbative expansion, additional pinch contributions, and
running of delocalization parameter. Footnotes adde
The Three Site Model at One-Loop
In this paper we compute the one-loop chiral logarithmic corrections to all
O(p^4) counterterms in the three site Higgsless model. The calculation is
performed using the background field method for both the chiral- and
gauge-fields, and using Landau gauge for the quantum fluctuations of the gauge
fields. The results agree with our previous calculations of the
chiral-logarithmic corrections to the S and T parameters in 't Hooft-Feynman
gauge. The work reported here includes a complete evaluation of all one-loop
divergences in an SU(2) x U(1) nonlinear sigma model, corresponding to an
electroweak effective Lagrangian in the absence of custodial symmetry.Comment: 40 pages, nine included eps figures. Minor corrections mad
学びの深さを志向する学級における教師の〈結び付ける力〉の分析:文学教材の読みをめぐる学習者の変容を通して
The purpose of this study was to examine the research hypothesis that teachers’ competence of “bonding” is important regarding its orientation to the depth of learning. We analyzed how learners’ comparative reading changed in literary texts for students in the fifth grade of elementary school. We use three genealogies of the depth of learning as an analysis framework: “deep understanding,” “deep approach to learning,” and “deep engagement.”First, the teacher designed the unit based on “bonding” educational content research with the actual situation of the learners in order for the learners to experience a “deep understanding.”Second, when learners experience a “deep understanding,” concepts and principles can be used in other contexts, and that experience will create a scaffolding for a “deep approach to learning,” in which they pursue their own meaning.Third, “deep engagement” is further strengthened by “bonding,” “deep understanding,” and a “deep approach to learning.”As described above, it was found that teacher’s competence of “bonding” with “deep understanding,” “deep approach to learning,” and “deep engagement” improved the social capital and cultural capital of learners.論
Effects of raloxifene on the production of cytokines in stimulated whole blood in ex vivo and in vitro studies
Purpose : The aims of this study were to determine the effects of raloxifene
therapy on production of cytokines and in vitro effects of raloxifene on production of
cytokines by whole blood cultures. Methods :We obtained samples of peripheral blood
from 6 postmenopausal women with osteopenia at baseline and after 3 and 6 months of
raloxifene therapy and 10 postmenopausal women who did not receive raloxifene therapy.
Whole blood from raloxifene-treated women was stimulated with lipopolysaccharide
(LPS) or phytohemeagglutinin (PHA). Whole blood from postmenopausal women who
were not treated with raloxifene was preincubated with raloxifene at concentrations
of 10-10-10-7 M and then stimulated with LPS or PHA. Concentrations of IL-1β, IL-4, IL-6,
IL-12p40, IL-12p70, TNF-α and IFN-γ in the supernatant were measured by respective
ELISAs. Results : In ex vivo cultures, raloxifene therapy inhibited LPS-stimulated production
of IL-1β, IL-6, IL-12p40, IL-12p70 and TNF-α, but not PHA-stimulated production
of IL-4 and IFN-γ. In in vitro cultures, raloxifene at a concentration (10-9 M) inhibited
LPS-stimulated production of IL-1β, IL-6 and IL-12p40 and PHA-stimulated production
of IFN-γ. Conclusions : Raloxifene therapy decreases the production of IL-1β,
IL-6, IL-12 and TNF-α but not that of IL-4 and IFN-γ, suggesting that modulation of
cytokines could play a role in the mechanisms of the osteoprotective effect of raloxifene
