    This study aims to describe the effectiveness of intradialytic exercises and HD temperature profiling in improving the quality of HD services. The literature search method is based on the compilation of PICO through online database searches on Clinicalkey, Clinicalkey Nursing, ScienceDirect, EBSCO, ProQuest, and Scopus. Journal search results obtained 20,106 articles; after the selection stage, nine reports were obtained for analysis, consisting of 5 RCT articles, one systematic review article, two quasi-experimental articles, and one meta-analysis article. The results showed that HD patients who were routinely given intradialytic exercises would show an increase in HD adequacy achievements, suppress inflammatory reactions, increase albumin and hemoglobin values, reduce the erythropoietin resistance index, increase phosphate clearance, improve the quality of life of HD patients and minimize the risk of both acute and chronic complications. Chronic disease caused by HD. Meanwhile, temperature profiling can reduce the incidence of intradialytic hypotension, pruritus, and fatigue and reduce the severity of Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) without interfering with the achievement of HD adequacy.     Manajemen Nonfarmakologis dalam Mengurangi Resiko Konstipasi pada Pasien Ortopedi

    This study aims to evaluate the results of published studies related to nonpharmacological management to reduce complaints of constipation in orthopedic patients. The research method used was Systematic Review which was carried out through a search strategy in 9 electronic databases with the keywords (orthopedic patient OR orthopedic patient) AND (nonpharmacological management OR nonpharmacological therapy) AND (constipation OR obstipation). The results showed that there was various nonpharmacological management used to treat and prevent the severity of constipation in orthopedic patients, including interventions such as chewing gum, abdominal massage, acupressure, hydrotherapy, biofeedback therapy, and nursing interventions based on the patient's active involvement in care. Various nonpharmacological strategies are used to treat constipation in orthopedic patients, and the best method to treat constipation in orthopedic patients cannot be ascertained due to the variety of instruments used and differences in sample characteristics in each study. Selected articles were assessed for quality using the Critical Appraisal Skill Program (CASP) guidelines. The six reviewed articles obtained that the range of patients who were given nonpharmacological interventions was ≥ 18 years. Instruments for measuring the incidence and severity of constipation are the Constipation Assessment Score, ROME III, Bristol Scale, Rasmusen measuring scale, Constipation Score Method, and Constipation Risk Assessment Scale. In conclusion, several nonpharmacological therapies can be applied to orthopedic patients to reduce their constipation complaints, thereby reducing the impact of hospitalization on patients and improving their quality of life.  Keywords: Constipation, Orthopedics, Nonpharmacological Therap

    Factors Affecting the Quality of Life of Epilepsy Patients

    People with epilepsy can lead a normal life, but there are many factors that can affect their quality of life. People with epilepsy may feel anxiety and even depression about their life, which can have an impact on productivity. This study aimed to identify factors affecting the quality of life of epilepsy patients. This study used a cross-sectional design with consecutive sampling and 100 respondents. The analysis used the Chisquare test and logistic regression. The results indicated that the majority of people with epilepsy in the study had a low quality of life (62 people, 62%) and the most influential factor affecting the quality of life was seizure type (odds ratio = 9.716, p = 0.001). Based on the findings, it can be concluded that education level, seizure frequency, type of seizure, stigma and medication adherence are factors that can affect the quality of life in epilepsy patients. Nurses can provide education on the management of seizures to epilepsy patients and their families, to improve the quality of life of people with epilepsy.     Green algae to green fuels: Syngas and hydrochar production from Ulva lactuca via sub-critical water gasification

    Biomass-derived energy is gaining more attention due to environmental issues and increasing energy demand. To ensure the sustainability of fossil energy substitution using biomass, diversification of sources, including marine organisms, is vital. Among various types of marine biomass discussed in the literature, the utilization of green algae Ulva lactuca for energy generation is still rare globally. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the potential of green fuel (syngas and hydrochar) production from U. lactuca (Chlorophyta) via sub-critical water gasification (SbWG). The experiments were conducted using a batch reactor at varying temperatures (300, 350, and 400 °C), reaction times (30, 60, and 90 min), and feedstock concentrations (1 and 5 wt%). The effect of temperature on gas composition was examined in detail. The results revealed that increasing temperature from 300 to 400 °C leads to an increase in the H2 content significantly from 2.21 % to 8.09 % within 90 min. However, increasing feedstock concentration from 1 to 5 wt% reduces the H2 fraction due to suppression of the steam reforming and water-gas shift reactions. Based on the ultimate analysis, the high severity of operating conditions leads to lower O/C and H/C atomic ratios owing to dehydration and decarboxylation reactions. It was confirmed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis that more void structures existed in hydrochar than the algal feedstock. The SbWG process at varying temperatures and times can increase the energy contents of U. lactuca by over 47 %. Intriguingly, hydrochar obtained at 400 °C exhibited higher HHVs (i.e., 21.75–22.93 MJ kg−1) than typical low-ranked coals, making hydrochar more potential to be used as solid fuels. Finally, a reaction model was deduced, and the decomposition of U. lactuca was confirmed to follow the Arrhenius behavior
