    Study of the effect of family patterns Style on shyness in Iranian Students

    AbstractThe Goal of present study was examining the effect of family Parents Style on shyness. The sample group included 85 girls and 115 boys. Revised version of cheek Shyness Questionnaire and Schaefen Family Patterns Style Questionnaire were used.Cronbakh alpha coefficient was calculated in order to determine of reliability of the measures.. The results showed acceptable reliability of the in strum. By using two way ANOVA the effect of patterns Style on shyness, was verified. Results showed the Authoritarian Parenting of family, is the powerful determinant factor of shyness

    The role of demographic factors on workplace deviant behavior

    Workplace deviant behavior (WDB) has been a neglected topic in organizational researches. It refers to a range of volitional acts at work that harm or intend to harm organizations and their stakeholders, client, co-worker, customer, and supervisors. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the role of demographic factors (age, gender, education level, and organizational tenure) on deviant behavior in organizations. This study investigates whether subjects with different demographic background differs in tendency to deviant behavior. Two hundred twelve samples who were working as civil servant in Malaysia participated in this study. Data were collected using a set of questionnaire consisting of 30 items. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS software version 16.0. Although the findings of this study have shown differences in engaging in deviant behavior between subjects with different age and organization tenure level, it was unable to find differences in deviant behavior between subjects with different gender, and education levels. Study implications for practitioners and scientists in the field of industrial organizational psychology and future research were discussed as well

    AbstractThe aim of this project was to compare the perceptions of heroin abusers with those of non- abusers regarding their parental discipline. In this project, the perceptions of two groups, each comprised of 120 subjects (60 substance abusers of heroin and 60 non- abusers) of their parental discipline were evaluated by means of Family Environmental Questionnaire through a retrospective and comparative method.     Creating a Sex Education Package and Determining Its Effectiveness on Self-Esteem in Primary School Children

    Objective: Development of a healthy identity can significantly affect the formation of other traits, including self-esteem and body image, in individuals. The aim of the study was to develop a sexual education program and evaluate its impact on the self-esteem of elementary school children. Methods: It was a quasi-experimental study with a pre-test-post-test design, which included a control group. The statistical population consisted of all elementary school girls in Shiraz (Iran) in 2021, and the sampling method was random from the girls' elementary schools in Shiraz. The participants were 30 female students who were randomly  assigned to two groups, experimental and control, each with 15 individuals. The Cooper Smith Self-Esteem Inventory (SEI) was used to measure self-esteem. Results: The multivariate covariance analysis indicated that the F-statistic for personal and social self-esteem variables was significant (p < 0.001), but not for the family self-esteem variable. Conclusions: Therefore, implementing the sexual education program for elementary school children has a positive and significant effect on personal and social self-esteem
