Fibonacci Oscillators in the Landau Diamagnetism problem
We address the issue of the Landau diamagnetism problem via -deformed
algebra of Fibonacci oscillators through its generalized sequence of two real
and independent deformation parameters and . We obtain -deformed
thermodynamic quantities such as internal energy, number of particles,
magnetization and magnetic susceptibility which recover their usual form in the
degenerate limit =1.Comment: Latex, 11 pages, two figures, version to appear in Physica
PHENOLOGY OF Copernicia alba IN FLOODED AND NOT FLOODED ENVIRONMENTS
The objective of this study is to describe the reproductive and vegetative phenological patterns of individuals of Copernicia alba, popularly known as "carandá", present in a flooded and non-flooded environment and to test the relations between vegetative and reproductive phenophasesand climatic seasonality. The phenological aspects of the carandá were obtained through a biweekly observation of 22 individuals from two areas of the Pantanal of Mato Grosso between August 2015 and August 2017. The carandá population presented a perennial behavior, flowering during the dry season and a greater leaf intensity in the transition period to the rainy season. Budding, although continuous, was intense in the rainy season, and the leaf deciduous pattern had a direct interference from the absence of rainfalls in the dry period. The incidence of floral buds occurred in the dry period, and the flowering occurred between the dry and rainy periods. The fruiting period occurred in the rainy season, indicating a high synchronism of phenophases
Universidade do Minho.
complementar a informação oferecida.
This study is set within the research framework on Pedagogical Supervision in
History and Social Sciences Education that has been developed in the University of
Minho. It is a descriptive study, primarily qualitative, which focuses on the way
students select and organize the information they obtain from the Web. It also seeks
to identify the kind of information they prefer when confronted with the resolution of
questions that require development of ideas, interpretation and aesthetic notions.
This investigation was carried out in a school in Braga, Portugal and it
involved students from secondary education, in the eleventh grade, within the
History of Culture and Arts class. Initially, an exploratory study was used to discover
the type of use, the frequency and the difficulties students often encounter while
using the computer and the internet in and out of school context. Then, we resorted to
a questionnaire (worksheet) developed after the selection of a website to research
information about the life and work of three previously selected “artists”: Eiffel,
Gauguin and Rodin. The choice of the website
(http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustave_Eiffel/...) was based on the fact that it was in
Portuguese, it offered a wide spread of information and iconography and also the
possibility of obtaining complementary information from a selection of links. The
use of the internet in the teaching/learning process allowed us not only to understand
the kind of information students prefer when confronted with the resolution of
questions that require development of ideas, interpretation and aesthetic notions, but
also to draw some notions about the artistic education in general and the teaching of
History of Culture and Arts, in particular.
These intentions led us to formulate the following query that triggered this
study:
“- What kind of information do students prefer while using the Web in the
resolution of tasks that require development of ideas, interpretation and aesthetic
notions?”
We hope the conclusions of this study will contribute to a reflection and
improvement in the teaching methods of History of Culture and Arts
A presente
O objetivo do
objetivos do projeto.
Nowadays, vehicle interiors are becoming more and more automated and because of that the
connectivity between driver and vehicle play a very important role. Displays are the interface
that allows this connectivity, so the clarity with which data and information are transmitted
to the driver is of utmost importance to ensure a pleasant and safe driving experience.
Therefore, studies of the effect of “Mura” type problems arise, and, in the case of this project,
of black uniformity in digital clusters that use displays. This Master’s Thesis was carried out
during an internship at Bosch Car Multimédia, S.A. The objective of this project was to
evaluate the effect of screwing structural parts of a cluster, the System Carrier, and Carrier
Frame, which are prone to warpage, and find mechanical solutions to mitigate this problem.
Firstly, a collection of possible solutions was carried out, after which, those that offered the
most advantages and were more in line with the project's objectives were chosen to be
studied further. Later, a modeling of the parts in Catia V5 was made, where possible solutions
considered in the form of features were introduced. So that an assessment of its performance
could be made, a model of the future prototype was created for each feature and numerical
simulations were performed in Ansys Mechanical to evaluate the force required for its
deformation and its effect on the stresses and strains caused by the tightening of the
components considering the typical warpage of the parts. Through this analysis, it was
possible to determine which feature was most suitable to proceed with the tests, so the model
versions used for simulations with/without features and with different cases of simulated
warpage were prototyped. These parts were screwed on and the results, although with only
one sample being used, were satisfactory as they revealed that the tightening force and
screwing curve varied as intended. Finally, the conclusions of the work and proposals for
future work were presented so that the results obtained by carrying out more screwing tests
and measuring the Black Uniformity of the parts with this feature can be deepened and a well thought-out assessment of the feature’s performance can be made
mental. Contudo, de acordo com a “Joint Action on Mental Health and Well-being”,
Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection, MEDLINE e Cochrane, restrita a artigos
Quality Assessment Scale” e da “Revised Cochrane risk-of-bias tool for randomized trials
(RoB 2)”.
forma a poder melhorar a investigação e subsequentemente as intervenções no tratamento
da depressão.Introduction: According to the World Health Organization, mental illnesses, especially
depressive disorder, are responsible for huge health losses. To address this problem, it is
necessary to allocate resources in the mental health area. However, according to the “Joint
Action on Mental Health and Well-being”, only 5.2% of total health spending is being
applied in mental health, being essential to maximize the available resources.
Objective: To evaluate and compare the different results of pharmacological and nonpharmacological interventions in the treatment of depressive disorder.
Methods: This systematic review included randomized controlled trials, non-randomized
studies, cohort and case-control studies, observational studies without control groups,
such as cross-sectional and case series, and modeling studies. The studies included carried
out a comparative economic evaluation of costs and outcomes of pharmacological and
non-pharmacological interventions, focused on adults diagnosed with major depressive
disorder. The search was carried out through PubMed, Psychology and Behavioral
Sciences Collection, MEDLINE, and Cochrane, restricted to articles written in English,
Spanish or Portuguese, published between 1995 and 2021. The date of the last search was
February 4th, 2021. The risk of bias was assessed using the “Newcastle-Ottawa Quality
Assessment Scale” and the “Revised Cochrane risk-of-bias tool for randomized trials (RoB
2)”.
Results: Initially, 183 results were obtained, and after a brief analysis of the title and
summary, 117 studies were excluded, because they did not respect the inclusion criteria.
After a full reading of each study, 42 articles were excluded. Then, in the previously
selected studies, an assessment of the quality and risk of bias was carried out, with 24
studies being included in this work. As for pharmacological interventions, Escitalopram
proved to be more cost-effective compared to Venlafaxine and Citalopram; Fluoxetine was
considered more cost-effective than Trazodone, tricyclic antidepressants, and Paroxetine;
tricyclic antidepressants have proven to be a low cost-effective option; and Aripiprazole is
the most cost-effective option, compared to Olanzapine and Quetiapine, as adjunctive therapy. As for psychotherapies, they tend to be cost-effective options, even though some
of the studies did not show statistically significant results.
Discussion/Conclusion: There is a dearth of economic analysis in the treatment of major
depressive disorder. However, Escitalopram and Aripiprazole (as adjuvant therapy)
appear to be the most cost-effective options. Further studies are recommended to improve
research and subsequently interventions in the treatment of depression
