    Isolation of Antibacterial Compounds from Garcinia Cf Cymosa

    Garcinia cf cymosa as part the family of Guttiferae was found out containing some active components of antibacterial i.e. xantone, flavonoid, terpenoid and phenolic derivatives. This study was intended to investigate the principal components as antibacterial through bioassay guided isolation using n-hexane, dichloromethane, and ethyl acetate as solvent. Based on this study have been isolated three xanthone derivatives i.e. ?-mangostin(1), ?-mangostin(2) and (-)- epicatechin(3). Compound 1 showed strong activity at concentrations of 100 ppm against Shigella dysentriae where comp.3 demonstrated significant antibacterial activities against Shigella dysentriae and Pseudomonas auregynosa at the same dose.     Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran Berbasis TPACK untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Pemecahan Masalah pada Materi Hidrolisis Garam di SMA

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prosedur pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran, keterkaitan antar komponen TPACK dan efektifitas e-modul pada proses pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Research and Development (R & D) model Hannafin & Peck. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah RPP dan modul elektronik berbasis TPACK. Produk tersebut divalidasi oleh ahli media, desain dan ahli materi dan dilakukan revisi produk hingga layak diuji cobakan. Hasil respon siswa pada uji coba kelompok kecil yaitu 72,53% (Baik), kelompok besar 96% (sangat baik) dan respon guru 90,2% (sangat baik), lembar observasi pemecahan masalah 92% (Sangat Baik). Dikembangkan RPP dan modul elektronik dengan Desain Hanaffin and Peck dengan dilakukan validasi oleh tiga tim ahli untuk menguji kelayakan produk. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan memiliki keterkaitan dan saling mendukung antara komponen TPACK. perangkat pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah pada materi Hidrolisis Garam dengan dilihat nilai t hitung (27,557) lebih besar dari t tabel (2,048) pada taraf nyata 95%

    Pengembangan Lembar Kerja Siswa Berbasis Laboratorium Materi Titrasi Asam-Basa untuk Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Kota Jambi

    Pengembangan (lembar kerja siswa) LKS berbasis laboratorium bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum 2013, dengan mengaplikasikan pendekatan ilmiah (Scientific Approach). Melalui metode Researh dan Develompment (R & D) model 4-D (Four D), dengan instrumen penelitian yang dikembangkan menggunakan skala Likert, maka dihasilkan produk berupa LKS berbasis laboratorium pada materi titrasi asam-basa untuk siswa kelas XI SMAN 3 Kota Jambi. Dari hasil uji coba diperoleh respon siswa dengan persentase 52% (sangat menarik) dan 48% (menarik) sedangkan berdasarkan komponen pertanyaan, untuk uji coba kelompok kecil diperoleh persentase: 90% (sangat menarik) dan 10% (menarik) dan kelompok besar: 80% (sangat menarik) dan 20% (menarik). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKS berbasis laboratorium materi titrasi asam-basa ini layak, menarik dan efektif digunakan oleh guru dan siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 3 Kota Jambi

    Identifying creative thinking skills in subject matter bio-chemistry

    Creative thinking is needed in 21st century learning. This quantitative study aimed to determine whether chemistry education students at Universitas Jambi have the initial ability of creative thinking. The type of research that is used is a research design survey that is strengthened by the results of interviews to support the results of quantitative data. Where the number of all samples from this study was 188 college students with details of 140 female and 48 male college students from 4th semester chemistry education students who were taken based on purposive sampling technique. Data were then analyzed using SPSS 21 application to find descriptive statistics in the form of mean, median, min, max, and category. From the results of the analysis conducted, it was found that there were students' creative thinking abilities in chemistry subjects in bio-chemical material indicated by sensitivity indicators which had a good category of 44.7% (84 of 188), fluency indicators had a good category of 41.5% (78 of 188), the flexibility indicator has a good category of 40.4% (76 of 188), the originality indicator has a category of 43.1% (81 of 188), and the elaboration indicator has a category of 39.4% (74 of 188)

    Quality learning can be made if the teacher has the ability to take advantage of all the potential that exists for the learning carried out.  Teachers need pedagogic, social, personal and professional competencies to continuously improve performance and productivity in learning.  Writing scientific articles is an activity that cannot be avoided from the current series of teacher activities. As part of efforts to improve the quality of learning and professional competence, teachers must have skills in writing scientific articles, especially those that are ready to be published in journals.  Professional teachers can continue to develop through increased education and training in a planned and programmed way, one of which is by writing scientific articles based on classroom action research (CAR).  CAR as an alternative to improve learning in the classroom.  This study aims to train skilled teachers in making scientific work and train teachers to make CAR research proposals and train teachers to carry out research activities as an effort to develop their profession.  Increasing teacher competence in conducting research so that they can analyze and find solutions to learning problems faced by teachers in the classroom.  Through this workshop, it is hoped that teachers will have increased competence in implementing, discovering, and implementing learning innovations in the classroom.  The implementation of this PTK activity has been carried out at SMAN 2 Sungai Penuh City, Kerinci which consists of teachers and school principals.  In the activities given the concept of and implementation of CAR in schools to improve learning improvements and innovations in schools.  Teachers can prepare CAR proposals and at the same time conduct research related to learning.  For this reason, in order to improve the competence of this teacher, this service activity has been carried out smoothly and the participants gave positive responses.  The next target is to be able to publish this activity in the form of proceedings or the Online Journal System (OJS)

    Pengembangan LKPD Larutan Penyangga Berbasis Proyek yang Terintegrasi Nilai Karakter

    Kemenristekdikti telah menetapkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter sebagai prioritas pengembangan Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter yang terdiri atas lima nilai utama yaitu religius, nasionalis, integritas, mandiri dan gotong royong. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD yang terintegrasi dengan pendidikan karakter yang layak menurut para ahli dan menarik menurut penilaian peserta didik. Penelitian desain dan pengembangan kependidikan ini menggunakan model ADDIE. Data bersifat kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang bersumber dari ahli, praktisi dan peserta didik dengan menggunakan instrumen validasi dan angket respon peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan desain berurutan eksploratori. Data kualitatif dianalisis dan dilakukan interprestasi data, sedangkan data kuantitatif dari angket respon peserta didik dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kelayakan media LKPD terintegrasi nilai karakter peserta didik pada materi larutan penyangga berbasis proyek memperoleh penilaian sangat baik (sangat layak) berdasarkan penilain ahli media, ahli materi dan ahli pedagogik. Hasil penilain guru juga memperoleh penilaian yang sangat baik. Respon peserta didik pada uji coba kelompok kecil memperoleh hasil yang sangat baik atau sangat menarik. Berdasarkan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk LKPD terintegrasi nilai karakter peserta didik pada materi larutan penyangga berbasis proyek layak dan menarik digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran

    Pengembangan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik Elektronik Berbasis Proyek pada Materi Termokimia di Kelas XI SMA

    [ Development of Electronic Student Worksheets on Thermochemical Subject Matter in 11th Grade High School ] Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik Elektronik Berbasis Proyek pada materi termokimia di kelas XI SMA dan mengetahui respon guru dan siswa terhadap e-LKPD berbasis proyek yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang mengadaptasi kerangka pengembangan 4D tetapi hanya sampai tahap pengembangan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket dan hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian validator (ahli media dan ahli materi) terhadap produk e-LKPD berbasis proyek sudah baik dan layak diujicobakan. Selanjutnya hasil respon guru diperoleh 91,06% dan hasil respon siswa diperoleh 81,76% dengan kategori klasifikasi “sangat baik”. Sedangkan untuk hasil belajar diperoleh nilai (gain) 0-0,3 (rendah) 3 orang, 0,3-0,6 (sedang) 19 orang dan 0,7 (tinggi) 3 orang. Berdasarkan proses pengembangan secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-LKPD berbasis proyek ini dikembangkan dengan menggunakan kerangka pengembangan 4D yang terdiri dari tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan dan penyebaran. Sedangkan penilaian validator terhadap kelayakan e-LKPD berbasis proyek yang dikembangkan dinyatakan sudah baik dan layak uji coba serta berdasarkan respon guru dan siswa, e-LKPD berbasis proyek ini sangat baik dan dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar di sekolah

    Gender Analysis in terms of Attitudes and Self-Efficacy of Science Subjects for Junior High School Students

    The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of students' attitudes and self-efficacy based on gender, and to determine the relationship between students' attitudes and self-efficacy towards science subjects. This research uses quantitative research with survey method. The sample in this study was 74 students from SMPN 1 Muaro Jambi in Muaro Jambi district. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. There are two instruments in this study, namely attitudes towards science and self-efficacy. The results of the T-test of student attitudes towards science subjects obtained were sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05, so there were differences in student attitudes towards science subjects, both female and male students in class VIII A and class VIII B. The results of the T-test of students' self-efficacy on science subjects obtained a value of sig.(2-tailed) < 0.05, so there are differences in student self-efficacy on science subjects, both female students and male students in class VIII A and class VIII B. While the results of the correlation test between attitudes and students' self-efficacy towards science subjects class VIII A and VIII B showed a value of sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05, then there was a relationship between students' attitudes and self-efficacy towards subjects’ science lessons, both female students and male students in class VIII A and class VIII B.The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of students' attitudes based on gender towards science subjects, to determine the comparison of gender-based self-efficacy to science subjects, and to determine the relationship between attitudes and self-efficacy of students towards science subjects. The results of the T-test for students' attitudes towards science subjects obtained are sig. (2-tailed) > 0.05, it can be concluded that there are differences in student attitudes towards science subjects, both female and male students in class VIII A and class VIII B. The results of the T-test for students' self-efficacy towards science subjects obtained a value of sig. (2-tailed) > 0.05, it can be concluded that there are differences in student self-efficacy towards science subjects, both female students and male students in class VIII A and class VIII B. While the results of the correlation test between students' attitudes and self-efficacy towards science subjects in grades VIII A and VIII B showed a value of sig.     Analisis Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Numbered Head Together (NHT) dan Pengaruhnya Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa pada Materi Struktur Atom di Kelas X SMKN 3 Kota Jambi

    Telah dilakukan penelitian yang dilaksanakan di SMKN 3 Kota jambi, pembelajaran kimia di sekolah ini hanya berjalan satu arah, sehingga siswa hanya mencatat dan mendengarkan penjelasan guru. Untuk itu dibutuhkan model pembelajaran yang dapat mengaktifkan siswa, salah satunya yaitu model pembelajaran tipe NHT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana keterlaksanaan model NHT serta pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi struktur atom di SMKN 3 Kota Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain one shot case study. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Terdapat satu kelas yang digunakan sebagai sampel yaitu kelas XAV . Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi keterlaksanaan NHT baik dari guru maupun siswa dan hasil belajar siswa. Pengaruh keterlaksanaan model NHT dengan hasil belajar siswa dicari dengan pearson product moment. Untuk melihat signifikansi keterlaksanaan model NHT terhadap hasil belajar siswa digunakan uji-t. Keterlaksanaan model NHT oleh guru dan siswa dikategorikan baik yang terlihat dari rata-rata tiap pertemuannya. keterlaksanaan model NHT dengan hasil belajar dikategorikan sedang dengan rata-rata r 0,564 dan terdapat pengaruh keterlaksanaan model NHT dengan hasil belajar siswa pada thitung 3,965 dengan signifikansi 3,965 < 2,02. Model NHT dalam pembelajaran struktur atom di kelas X SMKN 3 Kota Jambi terlaksana dengan baik oleh guru dengan melibatkan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga hasil belajar siswa dapat meningkat. Terdapat pengaruh pelaksanaan model NHT terhadap hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran struktur atom di kelas X SMKN 3 Kota Jambi

    This study aim to determine the effect of the implementation of the ethnoscience-based PBL-Networked model on students' understanding of the concept and interest in entrepreneurship. The research was conducted using a quasi-experimental approach with nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects were class VII students of SMPN 4 Sungai penuh. Determination of the sample used purposive sampling technique. The data were obtained from the results of the pretest and posttest as well as the student interest in entrepreneurship questionnaire. The instrument is used after being validated by a team of experts. Based on data analysis, that the implementation of the ethnoscience-based Problem Based Learning learning model has an influence on students' understanding of concepts and interest in entrepreneurship. Ethnoscience-based PBL-Networked model learning tools are effective in significantly increasing students' understanding of concepts and interest in entrepreneurship. The effect on students' understanding of concepts and interest in entrepreneurship is higher in the implementation of the ethnoscience-based PBL-Networked model than in conventional classes. This is based on the results of the One way MANOVA test showing a significance value of 0.000 which is less than the significance level α= 0.005, so it can be concluded that there is an average difference in increasing understanding of concepts and students' interest in entrepreneurship that is significant between students who learn using the ethnoscience-based PBL-Networked learning model and students who use learning tools that are already available on the Merdeka Belajar PlatformPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh implementasi model PBL-Networked berbasis etnosains terhadap pemahaman konsep dan minat entrepreneurship siswa. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan eksperimen semu (quasi eksperiment) desain nonequivalent control group design. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 4 Sungai Penuh. Penentuan sampel digunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data diperoleh dari hasil pretest dan posttest serta kuesioner minat entrepreneurship siswa. Instrumen digunakan setelah dilakukan validasi oleh tim ahli. Berdasarkan analisis data, bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis etnosains memiliki pengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep dan minat entrepreneurship siswa. perangkat pembelajaran model PBL-Networked berbasis etnosains efektif terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan minat entrepreneurship siswa secara signifikan. Pengaruhnya terhadap pemahaman konsep dan minat entrepreneurship siswa lebih tinggi pada implementasi model PBL-Networked berbasis etnosains  dari pada kelas konvensional. Hal ini berdasarkan hasil uji One way MANOVA menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 yang kurang dari tingkat signifikansi α = 0,005, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan minat entrepreneurship siswa yang signifikan antara siswa yang belajar menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran model PBL-Networked berbasis etnosains dan siswa yang menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran yang sudah tersedia di platform merdeka belaja
