Recent CLEO CKM Results
I report B physics results from the CLEO collaboration, highlighting
measurements of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements |Vcb| and |Vub|.
I report a recent measurement of |Vub| through study of the q^2 dependence of B
-> pi l nu and B -> rho l nu. I also describe new measurements of the inclusive
semileptonic branching fraction BF(B -> X e nu) and of moments of the hadronic
invariant mass spectrum in B -> X l nu, with impact on |Vcb|.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures, submitted to Proceedings of Beauty 200
|Vcb|, |Vub|, and Hqet at Cleo
I report results from the CLEO collaboration on semileptonic B decays,
highlighting measurements of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements Vcb
and Vub. I describe the techniques used to obtain the recent improvements in
precision for these measurements, including the use of the b -> s gamma photon
spectrum to reduce hadronic uncertainties in semileptonic B decays. I also
report new measurements of Vcb using the inclusive semileptonic branching
fraction BF(B -> X e nu) and of Vub through study of the q^2 dependence of B ->
pi l nu and B -> rho l nu.Comment: 3 pages, 3 figures, uses svjour.cls, submitted to Proceedings of EPS

Back to the Market: The Debt Problem in Legal Perspective
This article argues that the debt problem can be attributed to the failure on the part of those who operated the huge market of recycled petro-dollars in the late 70s and early 80s. The author then discusses how reinforcement of a decentralized decision-making system depends on three factors; transparency, market entry, and confining state regulation
How "efficient" are dairy farms in mountain areas?
Pure Technical Efficiency scores of Austrian dairy farms are estimated econometrically on the basis of data envelopment analysis and bootstrapping. In a second stage, using the same assumptions on the distribution of error terms, the distances of farms to their production possibility curve are estimated as functions of farm attributes. Since some of these attributes refer to natural conditions which are more or less unfavourable, the farms in the sample are facing individual frontiers. The distinction between sectorial and individual frontiers gives rise to a distinction between “overall” and “firm-level” efficiency. Using overall efficiency for the calculation of possible savings from a move to the frontier will overestimate these savings and underestimate the efficiency of a farm relative to the conditions in which it operates.DEA, efficiency, dairy farms, Farm Management, Livestock Production/Industries,
Communication cost of breaking the Bell barrier
Correlations in an Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen-Bohm experiment can be made
stronger than quantum correlations by allowing a single bit of classical
