Członkostwo Polski w NATO jako determinanta bezpieczeństwa politycznego i militarnego

Publikacja jest poświęcona ćwierćwieczu polityki zagranicznej Polski od chwili przemian ustrojowych na przełomie 1989 i 1990 r. W zebranych artykułach zostały opisane zarówno sukcesy polskiej dyplomacji, jak i wyzwania, przed którymi stoi III Rzeczpospolita na arenie międzynarodowej. Monografia składa się z czterech bloków tematycznych. Trzy pierwsze dotyczą relacji Polski z poszczególnymi regionami – Unią Europejską, Europą Wschodnią oraz krajami pozaeuropejskimi, zaś czwarty dotyczy polityki bezpieczeństwa Rzeczypospolitej. Ocena efektów polityki zagranicznej Polski w ciągu ostatnich 25 lat nie jest jednoznaczna. Z jednej strony Polska do sukcesów zaliczyć należy wstąpienie do Paktu Północnoatlantyckiego i Unii Europejskiej, pojednanie z Niemcami oraz stworzenie w miarę stabilnych warunków rozwoju gospodarczego. Z drugiej strony pewne problemy międzynarodowe, np. pojednanie z Rosją, pozostały nierozwiązane. ASEM – Problemy i wyzwania w pierwszej i drugiej dekadzie XXI w. W kontekście kryzysu Unii Europejskiej

This article is focused on ASEM summits and the problems and challenge that the summits face. Since the last decade of the 20th century this forum has been accompanied by financial and economic crises, which as well as ASEM itself, are an integral element of the current stage of globalization. As a result of the fact that development of the latest technologies exceeded “critical mass” (which does not allow a development of contemporary and international relations of any entity separately), the importance of ASEM summits and its other forums is going to increase. The greatest challenge of that forum, which operates globally, is a consequent realization of such a model of sustainable development that will serve all the entities of international relations, and simultaneously, it will radically limit old and new threats. Regular ASEM summits are necessary nowadays, because as it has already been mentioned in this article, the process of ASEM might die out

The article, in first part, focuses on the dynamic development economic APEC with the regard of the most important economic indexes. Then, they are compared with the economic indexes of UE. Second part of the article focuses on the chosen aspects of the economic relations of the USA within APEC and with UE. The author underlines in this part the huge meaning of the American economy for her partners development, both Asiatic, how and European. Moreover, it clearly was stressed, that if UE develops economic relations intensively both with United States, how and states from the region of Asia and Pacific Ocean within ASEM, European Union will keep the status of one of the most important pillars of the world economy in the closest future

Nierozwiązane dwudziestowieczne problemy polityczne w stosunkach japońsko-chińskich w XXI wieku

The article is focused on four problems in Japanese-Chinese relations in two first decades of the 21st century. These problems were not solved by the last three decades of the 20th century. They are following: the dispute about Senkaku (Diaoyu) Islands, the matter of the textbooks, the visits in the Yasukuni Shrine, the problem of Japanese- -Taiwanese relations. The author carries out the short analysis of their evolution and meaning for the present Japanese-Chinese relations

W tym artykule autor przedstawia i analizuje stosunki amerykańsko-indyjskie w XXI wieku, które zasadniczo różnią się od poprzednich z okresu zimnej wojny i przed rozpadem Związku Radzieckiego. We wstępie zostały wymienione przesłanki, które uniemożliwiały dobre relacje między USA i Indiami w okresie zimnej wojny. Następnie w trzech częściach została przedstawiona i zanalizowana dynamika stosunków amerykańsko-indyjskich. Natomiast we wnioskach zostały podsumowane najważniejsze czynniki, które stały się podstawą obecnych stosunków między obu państwami.In this article, the author presents and analyzes U.S.- India relations in the twenty-first century, which are fundamentally different from previous ones during the Cold War and before the collapse of the Soviet Union. The introduction sets out the premises that prevented good relations between the US and India during the Cold War. Then, in three parts, the dynamics of American-Indian relations are presented and analyzed. On the other hand, the conclusions summarise the most important factors that have become the basis of the current relations between the two countries
