    Career Guidance Model in Independence of Deaf Children in Time After Special Senior High School

    Career guidance model for deaf children in time after Special Senior High School consists of various skills that can be done as the provision in order to be independent in the future life. The problem of this study is learning skills for students who experience barriers hearing at Special Senior High School. The purpose of this study is to test whether there is influence of career guidance model for deaf children in facing the workforce so that they can be independent in the future life. The research method that is used in this study is Research Development (R & D) expressed by (Borg & Gall, 2003). The method of research is done using steps developed by (Borg & Gall, 2003). The Research is conducted in Payakumbuh city for certain skills such as culinary, fashion, aesthetic and other skills adjusted by potential area. The training is conducted for children who follow the subjects of expertise based on the Model of the Career Guidance that has been designed and developed as appropriate regional potential. In order to test the effectiveness of career guidance for self-relying children, it uses statistical techniques U Test by Mann Whytney. The results showed that the Career Guidance Model that is implemented for self-relying deaf children proven to be effective in improving the ability in conducting various types of skills that is given in accordance with their ability in time after Special Senior High School. It is proven from the result of U Test by Mann Whytney that is Uhit > Utab. This means that the guidance career model is effectively performed by deaf children, so they have skills in conducting various types of work that suits their ability so that they have the independence for the future life

    Developing social competence held in primary teacher inclusive education

    His study aims to develop social competence in elementary school teacher who organizes the educational system inclusions. As for the problems that often arise for teachers in schools is the lack of knowledge of teachers of children with special needs who become learners. Due to a variety of disorders experienced by learners. Thus it is necessary the development of social competence of teachers in order handling Children with special needs who would require special education services as well. This study was conducted to train elementary school teachers who organize educational inclusion. This type of research is the development of research carried out systematically, field tests, evaluated and improved to meet the prescribed criteria in terms of quality, effectiveness. Development procedures used to follow the steps of research and development put forward by Borg Gall (1983: 775).The results of this study proved that through training can develop social competence elementary school teacher education Inclusion in Padang, It is evident from the scores of teachers are given training before the average score of 78.8571 with n = 42, while the mean scores after receiving training average score increased to 87.5476. means social competence of teachers evolved into having the ability to communicate effectively with students, with fellow educators and fellow educators and parents and the community. Thus the social competence of elementary school teachers in developing after receiving training on Inclusion education provision for children with special needs

    Meningkatkan Pembendaharaan Kata Melalui Media Kata Bergambar bagi Anak Tunarungu

    Penulisan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang penulis temukan di SLB restu Ibu Bukittinggi, seorang siswa tunarungu yang memiliki keterbatasan dalam perbendaharaan kata. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan sedikit dan minimnya perbendaharaan kata anak tunarungu dalam mengucapkan kata benda yang ada dikelas. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk menyatakan bahwa, dengan menggunakan media kata bergambar,dapat meningkatkan perbendaharaan kata anak tunarungu dalam mengucapkan kata benda yang ada dikelas. Hasil analisis perbendaharaan kata dalam mengucapkan kata benda yang ada di kelas menggunakan media kata bergambar pada anak tunarungu yakni kondisi baseline (A1) kemampuan yang dicapai anak 20%. Kondisi intervensi (B) kemampuan yang dicapai anak 70% dan kondisi baseline (A2) mencapai 80%. Artinya terdapat perubahan tingkat perbendaharaan kata dalam mengucapkan kata benda yang ada di kelas pada anak tunarungu. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media kata bergambar ini efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan perbendaharaan kata dalam mengucapkan kata benda yang ada dikelas pada anak tunarungu

Because counselors are educators, counseling is education. Counseling services are educational services. Education counselors are counselors who are tasked and responsible for providing guidance and counseling services to students in the education unit. Education counselors are one of the professions included in the education staff as stated in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System as well as the Law on Teachers and Lecturers. Guidance and counseling is an assistance service for students, both individually and in groups so that they are independent and can develop optimally.     Kemampuan untuk hidup mandiri sangat penting bagi penyandang disabilitas. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian panyandang disabilitas adalah melalui program RBM yang telah berjalan selama lima tahun di Puskesmas Batipuh II. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memberikan gambaran tentang cara melaksanakan program RBM. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualititaif yang menunjukkan deskripsi dari pelaksanaan program RBM di Puskesmas Batipuh II. Program ini memberikan layanan rehabilitasi terhadap penyandang disabilitas. Pemberian layanan dilakukan dengan memberikan latihan bina diri dan pemeriksaan kesehatan secara berkala.  Paket latihan yang diberikan disesuaikan dengan kemampuan penyandang disabilitas berdasarkan 23 kriteria kemandirian. Kendala yang dialami dalam melaksanakan program ini adalah keterbatasan dana dan waktu. Adapun usaha untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut dengan cara mejadikan program RBM sebagai program wajib Puskesmas. Program ini melibatkan berbagai pihak untuk memberi dorongan kepada penyandang disabilitas agar dapat hidup mandiri
